Chapter 97 - Chapter 97: The End

'I really want to kick his ass. I should find a reason as soon as I meet him. I mean, not only did he leave me to clean up his mess, but he woke up right after I was done. It's clear provocation.'

I thought while looking at the green-dressed men arriving at my place.

"You really hate that guy," Toph commented. "Not that you really know him."

"I don't hate him. I just don't like him," I replied.

"So, you're hateful because?" she narrowed her eyebrow.

"'Cause he let me deal with everything when I should be relaxing," I replied as I closed my eyes.

There was a time when I was weak.

I had to get stronger, face a whole squad of the Fire Nation on my own in my hometown. I had to go to the Earth Kingdom and hunt stronger beasts daily while clinging to the trees. I had to run sometimes just to fight another day while staying sleep-deprived. And I had to invent two new types of bending while training a whole squad of prisoners to stop the Fire Nation.

And what was the Avatar doing?

Taking a nap.

"He's just pissed because he had been looking for him and had to swim a lot. The weather in the South Pole is no joke," Katara commented.

Oh.

I had to swim in cold water every day. And at that time, my cold tolerance wasn't good enough to swim in the freezing waters of the South Pole, and all of that was to look for the Avatar.

That was the main reason I despised the Avatar.

"That's as well," I nodded.

"That's the main reason," Toph added.

"Thanks for the confirmation," Katara nodded, knowing Toph can tell when I'm honest and when not.

Well, it's not that difficult to lie to Toph if I wanted to.

I simply had to float one centimeter off the ground.

But I should keep that trick hidden up my sleeve and use it when needed.

"Doesn't change a thing," I said. "That bastard… I promised myself to kick his ass if he dares to show up after I take care of everything."

Katara giggled.

I turned to her and asked, "What's so funny?"

"Your expression. You got tasked to find him, but instead, you decided to take on his responsibility, and you have him blamed for your impatience. Sometimes, I find it cute."

"Well, it's not like I asked him to remain hidden."

"You're acting more like my brother. I miss him."

"I'm going to kill myself," I threatened. But no one took my threat seriously. It was just a phrase I throw in the middle of arguments with the girls. If they were men, the threat would be, 'I'm going to kill you.'

But that's another story for another time.

I calmed down a bit and raised my hand.

"Anyways. The envoys of Bumi are here. Let's see what they have to talk about," I said.

"I've always found it weird, people telling each other to see what's to talk about, as if a blind person can't hear them," Toph commented.

"It's just language," I said. But she had a point.

I remember in my previous life, when you messaged with someone and they say, 'Hear me out,' or 'Listen to me.'

And as a welcoming host, I said that I would reopen my restaurant for them.

Man needed to make a living whenever he could.

And I started missing the days when I used to loot my foes.

The envoys had that forced smile as they entered and began to eat.

But when they tasted the food, that smile became real. And they spent whatever money they had on what I cooked.

I won't lie, I felt happy watching them fight over the last pieces.

That's what high-level cooking skill meant.

After collecting the money, I used my waterbending to clean the dishes. They then delivered the message that they had found the Avatar, and that he wanted to seek an audience with me to learn waterbending.

I smiled, grabbed a paper, and wrote my response on it. It had all my feelings and frustration written in one shape.

And if you want to know what I wrote, here's a little hint:

In any intelligence game that requires drawing shapes, what's the most used shape by beginners — male beginners.

"How old is the Avatar?" I asked.

"16 years old, why sir?" the envoy replied.

"Just making sure that he can read." I gave them the letter. Too bad I wouldn't be there to watch Aang's expression.

And so, as the envoys left, I was left to continue my normal life… except with a twist. I had to train a little bit more.

A couple of weeks later, at the palace of Bumi.

Avatar Aang had come back to the world.

And he was currently at the palace of his only remaining friend, Bumi, who somehow managed to become a king.

Aang had finished freeing Ba Sing Se from the Dai Lee, solving the last conflict.

He had heard about what had happened during his 100 years of absence.

And that someone, who had acquired divine power from the spirits, had taken over his job and solved the conflict on his own.

Luckily, Aang had woken up to clean up the little mess that he had overlooked, like the Ba Sing Se problem.

"I have been so excited to meet him," Aang said as he held the letter, his eyes drawing a childish glint of light.

To be fair, he was very excited to see the only person who knew where he had been during the last hundred years and could be so strong with one form of bending. Not only that, but that person invented many forms of sub-bending that are even outside of waterbending, making him one of the most hyped legends across the Earth Kingdom.

Aang opened the letter, and he looked at the shape.

"What's that? Did you guys invent a new language while I was asleep?" Aang said as he read one word.

He wondered what it meant.

Was it acceptance, refusal, yes, or no?

It's one word.

But it could be one of those complicated languages where one shape could mean a few words.

Aang couldn't help but be curious.

Bumi, who had stolen a look, suddenly fell to his knees.

He suppressed a chuckle… but he couldn't, and soon burst into a very loud rude laugh.

"Bumi, what is it?" Aang frowned.

"It's just his handwriting. It's weird," Bumi said. "I'll find someone later to explain it to you."

"Can't you?"

"I'm too old." Bumi continued laughing.

Aang frowned.

Why would anyone laugh at someone's handwriting, even if it was poor?

"I guess even the rumored strongest waterbender has bad handwriting," Aang shook his head, as if he was a monk disapproving someone who didn't follow the Buddhist way.

Very soon, Aang excused himself, and he went to take a piss.

Once he finished and the feeling of relief was over, he looked down at his member.

And suddenly, the shape became familiar.

The 2D shape looked like the 3D shape of his male member.

Suddenly, Aang understood why Bumi laughed.

Aang closed his eyes and chanted some monk things to calm his mind, only to realize that he was holding his D when he was done.

'How hard it is to forgive.' Aang suppressed the urge in his heart.

And so, Aang decided to ignore Ryuk for now and focus on fulfilling his destiny.

The last time he tried to dodge fate, he had ended up causing the 100 years war to last.

He had tried to blame himself, but Bumi said that Aang would have died if he hadn't escaped and gotten frozen, and the Fire Nation would have known where to find and kill the Avatar, until he would be reborn into their nation, where he would get brainwashed to help them achieve their evil deeds.

I decided to forget about the Avatar for now.

If I beat him up, he wouldn't provide much experience points. And if he did, I doubted he'd be much without the Avatar State.

I mean, in canon, Azula pushed him into a corner many times despite him mastering three elements, and he needed his friends to help him out.

'Azula's worth more experience points than him. It's pure mathematics.'

I put one leg over the other. Sitting next to me were the chiefs of the North and South Tribes.

Currently, we were at the North Pole, attending the wedding of my brother-in-law, Sokka.

While I was busy planning and fighting a whole nation, Sokka had been peacefully living in the North Pole, having a romantic time with their princess.

And as a result, thanks to me, he got to have his wedding before me.

"I'm glad you made it to the wedding," Arnook, Yue's father and North Water Tribe chief, said.

"Yeah. I wouldn't miss that." I looked at Sokka happily holding Yue's hand. "He looks happy," I said. Too bad today was his special day and I couldn't ruin his happiness. It would be funny to see his fuming face while he tries to chase me. But those days were long gone. I'm an adult now, about to be 19 or 20.

'Wait a second. I don't remember my birthday. I'll ask my mom later.' I thought of something the old me never had considered. 'Well, it's not like I could have a cake on that day to remember. Or invite all my friends…'

"So, when will we get to see you married?" asked Arnook.

My father-in-law—aka Sokka and Katara's father—answered.

"We've talked about it. He said he'd wait for me to arrive at the South Pole first," he said.

"Congrats."

The wedding proceeded smoothly, and Katara and Toph kept giving me side glances now and then. I thought they were hinting at when it would be their turn.

Man. Even though I'd become a nation-level threat, the idea of commitment still made me feel anxious.

But, well, I wasn't going to stay young forever, and this world didn't have much entertainment.

I remembered one of the memes from my previous life, when someone asked their parents what they did before TV or the Internet existed. Apparently, that kid had dozens of brothers.

'Also, I gave Azula my seed,' I thought.

Life progressed smoothly, and months passed by.

The Avatar was cleaning up the small messes that Ryuk had ignored.

One of those messes was a group of war mercenaries forming their own country within the Earth Kingdom using explosive dust and dustbending.

Those guys weren't a match for Aang, who got mocked as the last monk alive but activated his Avatar State.

Trash talking got them looking.

At the same time, I was standing by my restaurant, grilling meat.

I was currently a married man—to two girls. Never in my two lives had I thought I could pull something like that.

I had stopped using cum-bending and started populating, doing my biological duty.

While grilling, I looked one last time at my stats.

You see, during the last months, I hadn't just been sitting around.

I was hunting beasts and sea monsters occasionally to get experience points when I wasn't working or at Wang's library.

And I was using that Chi Bending Technique to increase my Chi by absorbing energy from the ocean and moon.

I had a strict morning training routine that involved using all of my skills.

And I was way stronger than I'd ever been.

"Boss, there are 4 more orders for grilled Sea Dragon meat," came a voice from a young man who picked up the meat I had grilled.

"On the way," I replied, before going to the cutting table and creating an ice blade out of thin air.

During the last months, my restaurant had become more popular, and I was making a good living now.

Despite Toph's parents offering me a lot of money to live with them, I'd decided to live independently, not with my in-laws.

Next to my restaurant was my house, where Toph and Katara were holding two soon-to-be mini-mes.

It was a nice two-story villa facing the sea and was a strategic place to set up from the Fire Nation.

You know, I had to control some crazy chick from trying to start a new war.

Sure, we'd passed that point, and she was actually pregnant by me, but, you know, you can never trust hormones.

A lightning bolt passed across the sky.

The weather was very clear, but I could spot lightning from far away.

It was Azula's way to call me since she knew where I lived.

"I've told her already that I'll destroy the palace if she hits my restaurant," I muttered as I looked at the sky. "Need to remind her later."

A couple of years passed. Minor conflicts happened here and there, like any post-war era, and some people got greedy for power.

But it was a very peaceful era.

It was a life where I lived day to a day. Some days were boring, and some were good. I got to become a happy, relaxed man with a few children. Some of them were going to rule a nation, and others were going to be waterbenders or earthbenders. I didn't know. But I believed they were very cute beings, and they were worth raising.
