Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: DATE NIGHT!!! – Part 1

Degree College, 2nd Year.

It was supposed to be just a normal Thursday.

But for DNS, the commander of the Vajra Syndicate, today was war.

Not against rival gangs. Not against corrupt politicians. Not even against interdimensional demons.Nope.

Today was Date Night.

DNS stood in front of the mirror, cigarette dangling from his lips, trying his best not to panic. The cold smoke curled upward, blending with the tension in the air.

He had been planning this date with Lily for a week. He had initiated it. He had asked her out. He had promised something "special."

And now… he had nothing to wear except the official Syndicate uniform.

His fingers twitched near his blade, Vajra, resting gently against his side like a sleeping beast. It radiated its usual pressure, heavy and ancient, bonded to DNS's very soul.

DNS (to himself):"It's just a date. Not a hostage rescue. Calm down, man. What could go wrong, right?"

Enter Neel. His best friend. His right-hand man. His unofficial chaos filter.

Neel kicked the door open, bags slung over his shoulder, dirt and blood still fresh on his boots after completing a side mission. He paused, blinking at the sight in front of him.

Neel:"Bro... are you okay? You're sweating like you just fought ten dudes."

DNS:"I'm fine. Totally fine. Just a little... nervous."

Neel:"Nervous? Dude, your hand is literally trembling."

DNS:"It's just... It's been a while, okay? I haven't done the whole 'date' thing in forever. And Lily's not just anyone."

Neel raised an eyebrow and looked DNS up and down, his eyes landing on the crisp black trench coat with the Vajra insignia gleaming on the lapel.

Neel:"And you chose that to wear?"

DNS:"It's the only thing I had ironed."

Neel:"That's because it's your damn war uniform, dumbass! You wear that when you're about to crush a rival gang or hold an emergency meeting—not to flirt over fries!"

DNS:(grinning slightly)"You're just jealous it looks good."

Neel:"Tch. You look like you're about to hold Lily at swordpoint."

He sighed and tossed a towel at DNS's face.

Neel:"Whatever. Good luck, loverboy. Don't blow it."

An Hour Later...

DNS stood outside Lily's dorm.

His heart was thundering against his chest. His palms were sweaty. Vajra hummed quietly on his back.

Just as he raised his hand to knock, the door creaked open.

Lily stood there, arms crossed, already smirking.

Lily:"Hey. You're early. And… seriously? The uniform?""You're the one who said it's for official business only."

DNS:"Okay, first—how did you know it was me?"

Lily:"Your aura, genius. It feels like a storm crashing through the hallway. My roommates fainted when you walked in the building."

DNS:(chuckling)"Not my fault Vajra's a diva."

Lily:"Do you have to carry that thing everywhere?"

DNS:"He's bound to my soul, not my body. It's a package deal."

Lily:(mock groaning)"Fine. Let's go before your spiritual baggage traumatizes someone else."

DNS:(smiling wide)"Yes, ma'am."

Meanwhile… back in the dorms.

Neel had planned to chill. Maybe nap. Maybe eat leftover noodles. But boredom crept in quickly.

Neel:"Ugh. DNS gets a date and I get silence. This is rigged."

After a solid minute of pacing in the dorm room, he grabbed his jacket and walked out.

Neel:"I'm not spying. I'm just... taking a precautionary stroll."

But fate had other plans.

As he rounded a corner, someone bumped into him—books scattering across the ground like fallen dominoes.

Girl:"Ah! Sorry, I wasn't looking!"

Neel:"Oh crap, my bad! Here, lemme help—"

He looked up and blinked.

Yara.

A quiet, bookish girl from his class. Neel always thought she was shy—nervous even. But what he didn't know was that she had been quietly following his story for over a year. A fan. A stalker. A silent admirer.

DNS had always known. He just chose not to say anything.

As Neel helped her gather her stuff, something metallic clinked on the floor.

He froze.

A small item. Smooth black metal. Ancient markings. Embedded chip.

A Vajraitham.

Neel:(stunned)"What the hell... Where did you get this?"

Yara:"That? Oh! I'm a crime blogger. I write about gang activities and power shifts in the city. I found it at a scene where Vajra Syndicate showed up."

Neel:"You're sure it was Vajra?"

Yara:"Overheard the cops. They mentioned Agnivarsh. The demon bull under Neel Talla."

Neel:"That's me."

Yara:"...WHAT?"

Neel scanned the Vajraitham using his embedded tech—his vision turned blue as it recognized the chip. A name flashed on screen:

ID: HELMStatus: DormantAccess: Restricted

Neel (thinking):Helm...? Who the hell is that? That's not a name I recognize from our team...

Yara:"I, um... didn't catch your name?"

Neel:"You're about to wish you never asked."

He smirked and stood up, offering a dramatic little bow.

Neel:"Neel Talla. Second-in-command of Vajra Syndicate. Bearer of Agnivarsh, commander of the Phantom Blades."

Yara:"WHAT—"She dropped to her knees in shock.

Neel:(laughs)"So. Wanna go for a walk?"

Back with DNS & Lily…

They sat at a small rooftop café with a perfect view of the skyline. The city glowed below them, unaware of the chaos its protectors were enjoying on a rare, peaceful night.

Lily:"You know… this is nice. I forget sometimes you're more than a gang leader."

DNS:"Gee, thanks."

Lily:(teasing)"I mean you're also a hopeless romantic… in tactical gear."

DNS:"Romantic's a strong word. I'm just good with swords and plans. Not feelings."

Lily:"You planned this whole thing."

DNS:"Well... maybe a little romantic."

They shared a quiet laugh.

But in the shadows, a figure watched them.

Hidden.

Silent.

A long, curved scythe glistened faintly in the dying light.

Vajra stirred.

DNS turned ever so slightly but didn't react. He felt it.

Goku.

Meanwhile...

Neel and Yara strolled through campus, a weird tension in the air.

Yara:"So what's it like... commanding a division?"

Neel:"Stressful. You have to balance cool speeches and not dying."

He paused.

Neel (thinking):That Vajraitham. "Helm." Something's off. We don't leave our marks behind.

Yara:"You okay?"

Neel:"Yeah, just wondering when we should go on a date."

Yara:(playfully shocked)"You little flirt."

Suddenly, two heavy presences approached.

Neel's eyes widened.

DNS and Lily were heading their way. You didn't need to see them to feel them.

Neel grinned.

Neel:"You wanna meet DNS?"

Yara:"YES!"

Neel:"Right about turn!"

They spun on their heels.

DNS and Lily stepped out of the light like a power couple from hell.

Badges shining. Aura pulsing. The air crackled slightly.

Yara:"That's him. THAT'S REALLY HIM—"

She squealed and grabbed Neel's arm.

DNS:"Look who we have here."

Lily:"My little brother's finally got himself a girl, huh?"

Neel:"Yeah, kinda sudden."

Yara:"Hi sir! I—I'm in your class! It's an honor!"

DNS:(calmly lights a cigarette)"I know who you are. The one who's been following Neel like a shadow, right?"

Yara:(blushing furiously)"I-I just admire his work…"

She extended her hand.

DNS shook it."Hope your nerves are stronger than your grip."

And then—

THUD.

Yara collapsed with a nosebleed and a smile. DNS's presence was too much.

DNS:"Neel! Interceptor. Now."

25 Minutes Later...

DNS, Lily, Neel, and unconscious Yara zoomed down a back alley on their bikes.

They approached a dimly lit abandoned church.

DNS:"You trust me?"

Neel:"Always."

DNS:"Then floor it. Through the wall."

Neel:"WHAT?!"

DNS:"Just do it!"

They smashed through the church wall and into a steep tunnel glowing with runes, ancient Vajra markings swirling along the walls. The air turned cold. Electric.

Neel (in shock):"Is that a... DR—"
