Agnes's mood lit up when the cafeteria offered her a half-day leave along with a meal for two for her flawless and productive work throughout the month. She decided to pick some groceries from Mr. Pattrick's shop, considering she planned to enjoy her little free time at home with Layla.
She was about to call his name when she noticed the man had his back facing her, deeply engrossed in some conversation. Instead of disturbing him, she began going through the candy shelf while the man hadn't noticed her presence yet.
