Washington Port
Cole
By the time we arrived at the mainland I knew Jacob was going to have a bit of a harder time controlling his bloodlust. I've noticed that anytime either of our emotions gets riled up, weather that be bad or good, our bloodlust would strengthen.
A few hours before we made dock, Jacob and I spoke about what the next steps were as we were waiting for the sun to set.
"I think I'm going to compel my dad," Jacob says. Shocking me. Once he'd understood the depths of compulsion as a vampire he'd been upset I'd done so to his father. Again I referred him to his own bloodlust and imagining what he would've done in the situation had someone been speaking to him that way.
"You seen to forget Jacob, we met the day I woke up. I'm still trying to get used to this like you are."
He nods. Seeming to understand before asking a question, "and why exactly do you look different than me? Is that normal?"
I'm silent for a moment thinking about how to word my response. I know of different variants of vampires. Like Alaric Saltzmen becoming an enhanced original, or the beasts marcel and Lucien. I've begun to theorize I may be a variant. I don't know which one but I know I certainly don't look like any vampire I've ever seen.
"I do not know. That's something I hope to find out when we get to solid ground." I say. Jacob nods In affirmative
I then decide to ask my own question, "what are you going to tell your dad?"
Jacob sighs. "I don't know. Something simple. 'I don't want to be a fisherman,'" hum in agreement before hearing the ship horn signaling we've begun the docking sequence.
"Come on," I say to Jacob. "Get your stuff and take care of your dad and let's go. I don't plan to waste another minute." After this I grab my backpack full of some clothes Jacob lent me while on the ship. I plan to compel an entire new wardrobe, so I'll give these back to him.
I don't wait a second after I see the sun has set, blurring off the ship like I'd stolen something. 'Time to find a daylight ring.' I think looking out as the people around me bustle about the dock. As I'm waiting for Jacob I begin listening to two men in suits approaching the ship I just left.
"Said over 30 men were killed. Captain said he wants us looking at this seriously."
The man he was with just nodded. A serious look on his face. As I'm about to go get Jacob off the ship myself I hear him appear behind me in the alleyway. "It's done?" I ask.
"Yes. Let's go." He says to me sounding emotional. Not that I can blame him. A lot has happened, for both of us.
"Good. Come. It's time to get a few amenities before we set off." I say going toward the store I'd already clocked while waiting.

Coming out in a simple grey hoodie and jeans with white forces on, I began next toward the cell company. I needed a phone.

With a phone and clothes secured, Jacob and I made our way to the car dealership. As we walk in we see a big bumbling man step up with a cheesy smile.
He began trying to sell us something but I stopped him midway through his speech, compelling him, "you will leave us alone. Don't come back. Forget even meeting us."
At his nod we continue walking until I decided to grab the black 5.0 I'd found.
Deciding to use this as an opportunity I speak to Jacob, "go compel this car for us." I say pointing to the mustang.
He nods and walking toward the receptionist with a smile that disarms her immediately. "Hi, my business partner and I were hoping to acquire the car he's standing beside." He points over his shoulder while I wave at the woman.
After some more disarming when she began speaking the price, Jacob touched her hand and spoke. "I'm so grateful you've decided to give this to us free of charge. You're so wonderful…" he trails off reading her name tag. "Mia. You will forget ever seeing me or my friend. You don't know what happened to the car."
"I don't know what happened to the car." Jacob kissed her hand and turns back toward me throwing the keys my way. "Let's go."
I smile and laugh. "You are getting the hang of this." I say getting into the car and starting it up. The beautiful engine purrs as I spin out and leave the lot in a cloud of smoke.

"Ah," I begin as I release the bite I'd given the waitress at a bar we decided to visit a few hours into our journey. I wipe my mouth free of blood. "What'd I tell you?"
Jacob releases his own waitress and speaks, "yea, you're right. Alcohol helps the bloodlust." I nod. As I'm about to go back to continue eating, Jacob asks me.
"Where are we going?"
I think to myself. "I honestly don't know," and I didn't. I wanted a daylight ring. And that meant finding a witch. I only know of two places to find that forsure. New Orleans or Mystic Falls.
