Chapter 1 - 1

The Hoenn region boasts diverse ecosystems, ranging from deserts to tropical rainforests, vast oceans, and volcanic areas, which have nurtured a wide variety of Pokémon, collectively forming Hoenn's unique ecological zone.

Among them, the most striking feature is the extensive waterway network, connecting the eastern and western extremes of Hoenn.

This vast body of water is even more expansive than the land area, creating a stark contrast with other regions. The sea is dotted with islands of various sizes, teeming with rich resources and diverse Pokémon.

On an island in the southwest, due to the presence of Granite Cave, a cave that produces abundant Rock- and Steel-type Pokémon resources, people gradually began to settle on this island, forming a town that eventually grew into a sizable place like Dewford Town.

Because it is located on a necessary route of the waterways, coupled with excellent Pokémon resource output, Dewford Town gradually prospered.

Later, due to the extremely important location and the rampant illegal maritime forces led by Team Aqua, which severely threatened the safety of Dewford Town, the Pokémon League dispatched excellent Trainers to establish a Gym in Dewford Town.

On one hand, it was to protect Dewford Town and Granite Cave, and on the other, to attract Trainers to challenge the Gym, promoting the development of Dewford Town.

Hikaru, originally a good young man from 21st-century Japan, spent most of his time playing games and watching anime.

One day, while walking on the main road, humming a song and looking at his phone, he was suddenly hit by a truck!

Who could find logic in that?

After a dizzying spin, Hikaru fell from the sky into the sea, and before he could even check the 'ding' sound in his mind, he was submerged by wave after wave.

Although Hikaru was a landlubber, whether it was good luck or the destiny of transmigrators not to die on the first day, he did not drown but was washed ashore on an island.

Having narrowly escaped death, Hikaru just managed to vomit out the seawater in his stomach, coughing violently for a long while before opening his eyes to look around.

In the sky, blue-and-white Wingull landed in twos and threes on the beach, tilting their heads to observe the bedraggled human in front of them, showing no fear whatsoever.

Looking back at the sea behind him, his eyes met a vast expanse of azure, with red-scaled Magikarp occasionally leaping out of the water, their dull eyes indiscriminately mocking all targets.

Hikaru's brain stalled for a few seconds. Judging by the current environment, it seemed, possibly, probably—he had transmigrated to the Pokémon world?

As soon as he thought of this, the pain in his body instantly vanished, and he excitedly ran towards the Wingull.

A fall midway couldn't even hinder his thrilled expression.

As a decade-long Pokémon fan, Hikaru couldn't suppress his excitement.

"Wingull! I'm here to capture you!" he shouted.

Who, in their youth, hasn't dreamed of capturing Pokémon, traveling around, and challenging strong opponents?

The Wingull gave the human, whose intelligence seemed questionable, a disdainful look.

He neither offered food to entice it nor prepared for a Pokémon battle, and he didn't even have an empty Poké Ball on him.

Are you here to freeload off me?

It had originally planned to freeload a snack from a human, but instead, it encountered an idiot. How unlucky.

The Wingull flapped its wings, preparing to leave. Hikaru was stunned—this wasn't what he had imagined!

"Wait, Wingull!"

Hikaru tried to pounce but missed and got pecked several times by the Wingull's "Peck" attack, leaving him looking even more disheveled.

After calming down, he realized that his weak self was no match for wild Pokémon. He sighed, deciding to give up on the idea of capturing Pokémon through brute force.

After all, not everyone is a Super Rookie.

He then began to check his current state.

The clothes he wore were the same as before his transmigration, indicating he had transmigrated physically rather than spiritually—obvious from his fall into the sea.

This was not good news. Physical transmigration meant he had no identity in this world, no past—making him a complete "Unregistered household person."

This meant no help whatsoever; everything would have to be achieved on his own.

Forget about having Elite parents, a sister, or a house; even basic survival was a concern.

Hikaru checked the items he carried. Unfortunately, after being thrown ten meters away by the truck and before losing consciousness, his phone was completely destroyed. Of course—if this truly was the Pokémon world, a modern smartphone wouldn't be of much use anyway.

However, looking at his reflection in the sea, he seemed a few years younger than before transmigrating. He looked about eighteen years old.

He had nothing valuable on him, but still, Hikaru was an unfortunate yet lucky person.

Unfortunately, he was hit by a truck.

Fortunately, he transmigrated—and he had a system.

That's right, the 'ding' sound before he fell into the water wasn't a hallucination from near-death; Hikaru truly had that cheat-like item known as the System.

Hikaru instantly perked up.

With the System in hand, the world is mine.

Just as Hikaru was imagining his grand future, a stern voice suddenly rang out.

"Who are you? Why are you here?"

Then, Hikaru found himself pinned to the ground, his hands cuffed behind his back with cold handcuffs.

Hikaru's dream of conquering the entire Pokémon world suffered a crushing defeat on the very first day.

End of the Chapter.
