Keelion stared at her.
"Alexis."
Alexis cupped his cheek. "I'm here. I'm real, Keelion." She went on her tippy toes, kissing him before craning her neck to stare into his eyes. "You have every reason to be like this, but I'm here, okay? And I'm not leaving you."
Slowly he grabbed her hand, bringing it to his lips where he kissed it. "You can't leave me. Not again, Alexis. I can't do this again. You don't understand that you're breaking me."
"I love you, Keelion."
He kissed her hand. "I love you, Alexis. Stay with me."
"I'll stay with you. I will," she said, rubbing her thumb against his cheek.
He leaned into her touch, taking a deep breath of relief that he hadn't taken in a long while. "Won't you come to bed with me?"
Alexis smiled sweetly at him, grabbing his hand to walk to the bed. She got in with him, letting him bury his face in her chest. HIs arms came tightly around him while she brushed her fingers through his hair softly.
