Chapter 196 - b 12

Updating in progress... 79%]

« We start again with numbers. Coincidence? » *Rachel*

« Is it normal to assume that Hajin likes numbers? » *Nayun*

« No, because we're not sure about his preferences… » *Suho*

« Yeah we didn't know much about him until reading his thoughts and seeing from his perspective. » *Jonghak*

« Which is totally unfair since he knows everything and I mean everything about us. » *Yeonha*

°Quiet… please! °

Currently, it is 9 A.M., Saturday.

They looked at the screen with narrowed eyes.

°Please no comments… Numbers are normal, don't make it sound weird! °

« You can keep your delusions to yourself. » *Yeonha*

Clearly, my laptop was still dead. It only went up by 79% in a whole day. I wondered what amazing new features it would get. On the other hand, I was dying of anxiousness as I waited.

« I would die to see his face right now. » *Nayun*

« Did you know that you were strange? » Yeonha looked at her weirdly. She even moved slightly to the opposite side.

« Is it a compliment or an insult?? »

« Take it however you want… »

« Then I'm proud of it! » She smiled widely as Suho and Rachel sighed at the incredulousness of the girl. Jonghak was frustrated and didn't hesitate to show it to Nayun as he looked at her with a disapproving look.

« What…? Did I say something weird? »

« No… It's nothing… » Jonghak sighed. He was a little tiny bit tired of this.

I was staring at the laptop's update percentage when my smartwatch rang.

« Doesn't he have something better to do aside from waiting? » *Nayun*

« He's stuck for several years here and I don't think the main events will start now. » *Yeonha*

°If only he was just stuck here for several years… sob °

« Be more specific when you complain please. What do you mean? » *Jonghak*

°Maybe when we're at the end of the story you'll understand. Most of you won't believe what happened and I still hold a grudge against some of you. °

« Hey, what do you mean with a grudge? We didn't do anything to you! »

°My eyes hurt every time I read the ending… °

« Can you give an example? »

°I… Well Suho's a good example. °

The room fell silent. What happened in the future for Suho to be the example of a person to hold a grudge against?

« If you even hold a grudge against him then what about me? » *Yeonha*

°You're good but your friend is not. Now go back to the reaction. °

[Brokerage account for Kim Hajin has opened.]

"Oh, it's done!"

« What's that again? » Nayun wasn't enjoying this random news. They were waiting for an update not even five minutes ago.

« Bank account. » Yeonha responded briefly. She didn't want to deal with unnecessary questions as a sudden realisation hit Nayun.

« Ooooh thanks! »

« No problem. Now would you shut up? »

She was about to reply when she got a glare from her friend. Suho and Rachel were behind her and shaking their heads. It was more than just a sign to not bother the purple-haired female cadet.

I was also concerned about this too. It would have been easy if I was an adult, but I was still a minor. Just like in the previous world, a minor couldn't open a brokerage account without a guardian's agreement. If I wasn't a cadet at Cube, it would have been impossible to open a brokerage account.

« Like the previous guy said, being at Cube does have some privileges. » *Jonghak*

« He, at least, has to know about it since the last chapter. » *Yeonha* They all nodded their heads in agreement.

Now that I had an account, I immediately began to work.

« Will he become workaholic? » *Rachel*

« I hope not. We can't keep an eye on him 24/7… » *Yeonha*

« We can't even do it right now… How are we supposed to in the future? » *Suho*

First, using my smartwatch, I moved money over to my new brokerage account. One million won from the previous monster hunt and two million won that I already had, a total of three million. It was a pocket change compared to what many of the other traders had, but it was enough to get me started. I opened the stock trading program. The guild stock market operated on weekends to differentiate them from the normal stock market.

« No way he gained that much and has all this knowledge about the market- » *Nayun*

« He has more than just simple knowledge. He literally can be rich… » *Yeonha*

« And then you scold me when I badmouth him… You two are shameless… » Jonghak shook his head at the thought.

The two girls didn't glance at him and only ignored his petty comment. The boy returned the rudeness by turning over while some clear tension was forming in the room. The two other cadets gulped at the tension rising as sweat started to appear on their forehead.

[Guild — Packhorse Master]

The Packhorse Master guild was listed on the exchange. Each stock was worth 170 won.

« Well, he said the prices will go up but I didn't expect the investment to be this much. » *Rachel*

« Tch- You said it, 170 won… Just say it's free and we'd have understood. » *Jonghak*

Since I wasn't knowledgeable about complicated things like short stock selling, short stock buying, and price fluctuation, I simply bought however much I could.

He's the author! How does he not know about all these?! » *Nayun*

« Sigh Nayun, do you seriously think he mentioned all these when he wrote his novel? » Yeonha gave her a meaningful gaze to make her understand how dumb her assumptions were. The boy was probably the author of this world but who would write so many details over useless things and voluntarily struggle like that?

« Stop giving me that look… It wasn't that bad! » Nayun shivered at the cold gaze she received in response. Even Jonghak had to side up with Yeonha this time. The light brunette was talking too much about useless details.

Chae Nayun grumbled in response to these betrayals. Did she miss a chapter or something?

Because everyone was against her and argued over her remarks.

[17,647 stocks of 'Packhorse Master' guild purchased.]

« Like I said. It's given for free if he could purchase so many. » *Jonghak*

« Not everyone is as rich as you are idiot. » *Nayun*

« At least I don't make weird comments about the weakling we're reacting to. » Nayun looked at him offended. Since when did the boy talk back to her??

It didn't take long.

« So… He didn't have a plan in mind… He just went with how he felt like… » *Yeonha*

« Yeah, it's hard to believe Hajin acts like that when we've already met and talked to him. » Suho smiled awkwardly. They sure had a hard time accepting how Hajin acted in this point of view.

He never showed this side of him since he never expressed anything with his facial features and maintained a neutral face every time. And now, he was basing himself on luck… Yes, his luck stats were higher than average, even better than the actual mc but he was so out of character!

Wasn't it their job to do that?

But since it felt a bit weird to just leave, I looked up a stock-related forum board.

« He sure is bored… Just like me watching him… » Nayun yawns. Nothing interesting was happening and it felt boring to most of them.

[Gathering of people who enjoy stock exchange.]

With 930,000 members, this was the biggest forum for stock-related topics.

« I wonder how he knows about that and not about stocks… »

« Don't question Hajin's logic Nayun, we witnessed too much to criticise. » *Yeonha*

« He's different from what he shows us normally. » *Jonghak*

« May I know how you know? From what I know you barely interacted with him. » *Rachel*

« None of your business princess. »

'Wait what-' She didn't have the time to react as a voice suddenly cut in.

°You all shut up, I didn't bring you here to annoy me but to react… And what's with the 'princess'? Ew…°

« HEY IT'S NOT LIKE THAT I SWEAR! » Jonghak felt the urge to defend himself.

°Sure now back to the screen. °

I searched for Packhorse Master.

[List of new guilds.]

[Guilds newly listed]

[Guild market is hard nowadays ㅜㅜ None of the new guilds look promising...]

« If only they knew. » Nayun sighed.

« I mean… We didn't know until a few hours ago so… » *Yeonha*

« Please… Stop it. » Nayun was starting to get a headache from all the negative responses she got every time she opened her mouth.

Was this how Hajin felt?

None of the posts were specifically about Packhorse Master, only mentioning it briefly.

'Obviously'

"Well, what did I expect from an online forum...?"

« I feel like he expected it to be different. » *Yeonha*

« There's a co-author who fills the plot holes so maybe he thought it'd be the case with online forums. » *Suho*

« He will be disappointed then. » affirmed Jonghak.

I clicked my tongue and turned off the smartwatch. In this world where information was equivalent to money, even the existence of a website had to be found out through money. Thus, expert brokers did not even spare a glance at free-to-use online forums.

« Who would be dumb and desperate enough to do it anyway. » Jonghak scoffed.

« I remember how quiet you were at the start of all this. It's a bad thing that you feel comfortable enough to speak so much… I think it's actually a crime… » *Nayun*

« I don't feel the need to explain myself to you. » *Jonghak*

The two started bickering like an old couple. If you dared to make this remark in front of them, be sure to die right after. They seemed to hate the idea of being with each other.

It was a one sided crush from Jonghak after all.

Information guilds had their own intranets where one could buy information, and those who wished to stay secret would use something like the Violet Banquet...

« Don't tell me… » *Yeonha*

« You suspect it too, right? » *Jonghak*

« What are you two talking about? It's annoying! » Nayun didn't understand the situation just like the other cadets in the room, Suho and Rachel.

« He mentioned it… » Suho then realised what it implied. If something was mentioned, then it'd likely be used by Hajin or one of them. Nayun and Rachel started to understand. Was Hajin involved in some dirty business in the future?

Oh boy if they knew.

"Oh, right."

Speaking of staying in secret, there was one group inhabiting the dark.

Chameleon Troupe.

« But I've never heard of it. » *Nayun*

« He said it worked in the dark. I doubt they'd like to attract attention if what they do is illegal. » *Yeonha*

« Maybe they're part of the villains? » *Jonghak*

First revealed halfway through the story, the Chameleon Troupe was the most powerful gang in my novel, whose members would play an important part until the late stages of the novel. The group's name was derived from a chameleon's ability to camouflage. Just like how a chameleon changed its colour to hide, the Chameleon Troupe was a secretive group whose members' identities remained absolutely hidden.

« I called it! No way they're sided with us. » *Jonghak*

As of now, one seat of the Chameleon Troupe was empty. This seat would remain open for another year or two, and come to play an important role in the

story.

« How so? He didn't imply any character being evil until now… » *Nayun*

« No one except for Jonghak at the very start… » Yeonha tried to whisper as quietly as possible but it was loud enough for the latter to hear her. He furrowed his eyebrows at the mention of him being a villain in the story.

He didn't like the idea of it and didn't want to envisage it either way.

I knew who the Chameleon Troupe's leader was and where she operated. Other than Chameleon Troupe's members, I should be the only one who knew this

information.

« cough How surprising… » Nayun positioned her fist against her mouth as she fake coughed.

Chameleon Troupe was a gang of criminals, but they also rejected Djinns. And in this world, Djinns were the absolute evil. If I could become Chameleon Troupe's member... well, that was unrealistic, so if I could at least become friends with its leader, I might be able to transform them into a supporting role...

« I'm confused on which side they actually are. Hajin makes it look like they're playing an evil role in the story but says that they also fought against djinns. » *Suho*

« I'm guessing both are evil from our point of view. They may act good but we weren't supposed to know that. » *Yeonha*You may be right but I stick to believing in the neutral part. »

« Do as you wish. » *Yeonha*

The two started a staring battle. Nayun was even timing how long it took for someone to finally blink.

Just when I was thinking such things...

"Uk!"

Completely out of the blue, an intense pain emerged on my left upper arm.

They paid more attention to the screen as they furrowed their eyebrows. Rachel had a bad feeling about what's happening and didn't like it.

It was as though a heated knife was carving my skin. Blood spurted out from my arm, hitting my widened eyes. I hurriedly pulled up my sleeve. A strange scar was being drawn on my upper arm.

"The hell..."

« Hey what's happening? » asked Yeonha with a worried tone.

« Is he being attacked?! » Nayun was just as worried but had a different manner of showing it. She was shouting and not calmly asking unlike her friend.

°You calm down! It'll happen quite often from now on so I suggest you get used to it right away. °

« How do you expect us to not get used to seeing him like that? » Suho frowned even more than before. The request was irrational and not fitted for the circumstance. He won't get used to the fact that Hajin will suffer at random times like these for no apparent reason.

It was an incomprehensible scar and pain. I clenched my teeth and put my hand over the scar gushing with blood. At the same time, a tsunami of information flooded into my brain.

« Is it the stupid system's fault he has to endure that? » Nayun gritted her teeth. It has already happened and they had no idea about it… The pain must have been unbearable and he still managed to hide it from them.

She probably wouldn't have noticed and if she ever did, she knows that she was too proud to show an ounce of concern.

[This Stigma is one of the authorities of the Creator. It contains magic power.]

« …What's that again… »

[One streak of Stigma will be inscribed each time your total acquired SP reaches a certain level, which is when your 'fame' increases by a level.]

'So that is why the voice told us to get used to this... He has to go through all this pain every time he levels up.' When Suho thought about it he felt bad and guilty for not noticing the boy's suffering before. It already happened and they didn't see anything wrong with the latter. He felt guilty about it.

[You can freely use the magic power stored inside Stigma, which will slowly regenerate over 24 hours even if depleted.]

"...Ah."

Rachel gulped at the sight of the suffering Hajin on the screen. It wasn't something she wanted to see or wished to happen to the boy. He didn't deserve it.

Yeonha was in the same state as the others but made up her mind on the fact they

couldn't have done anything to stop it. So it was practically useless to try to intervene right now. It made her furious!

Jonghak didn't show it but he also was worried, he would never admit it in his lifetime though.

An indescribable throbbing pain rang out in my head and arm. But even in the wave of such paralysing pain, I could clearly see the laptop screen.

'I'm surprised he still didn't pass out…'

[Update List]

▷'Book of Truth' has been added to the Gift, 「Observation and Reading」

« I know it's not the moment but damn… Another skill. What does it do? » The cadets glanced at her like she was crazy. Wasn't she as worried as they were five minutes ago?

°I like the attitude but you'll have to find out for yourself. °

« Tsk- » was the only answer heard from the girl's mouth after the response she got from the voice.

...

**

The weekend sky was clear and blue. The early spring weather was chilly, but still had a bit of warmth to it. But I was unable to enjoy this beautiful day to myself, as I was summoned to go to Seoul's 'Association Tower'.

« I think it's the time we were rewarded for defeating the djinn in the museum. » *Suho*

« I believe so. » Nayun smiled widely as she turned to Suho.

« I can't recall anything else that implied Hajin at the 'Association Tower.' » *Yeonha*

« Did he enjoy the ceremony? » *Jonghak*

Nayun and Suho peered at the floor awkwardly which confused the other three waiting for the response.

« Did he find it that bad? » *Yeonha*

« No, it's not like that… » *Nayun*

« He seemed to hate it for the first half of the time but enjoyed it in the second… » They stared at Suho while Nayun scratched the back of her head. What?

°cough If you don't mind me, I'd be glad if you didn't spoil the whole novel before I show the twentieth chapter. °

« Sorry. » Suho smiled nervously. They didn't mean to say anything regarding the future events but it's true that answering the question would include some spoilers.

It was to receive commendation for subjugating the Djinn in the recent incident.

« Why didn't you shorten this chapter but did it to the other last two? »

°I plan on skipping the ceremony's organisation and there are some details worth reacting to! ° Nothing was removed in this chapter. I repeat. I didn't skip a word! T-T

...Really, couldn't they just come to give it themselves?

« Is he lazy or just doesn't want to attract attention?? » *Jonghak*

« I assume the two… » *Rachel*

« So his laziness is worth reacting to but not information concerning the most spoken agent in his novel. » Yeonha sighed at the nonsense this voice implied. It didn't make any sense at this point.

°For the last time… I can hear your thoughts and it's upsetting you know? °

« It's not really our problem so… » *Nayun*

The conferment ceremony took place at a garden in Association Tower, and many people were already gathered by the time I arrived. However, the conferment ceremony seemed nowhere close to starting. Kim Suho, Chae Nayun, and I were forced into a ceremony rehearsal because we would receive our commendations from a dignitary, but the dignitary himself was late and we were forced to wait.

« Does he take his job that lightly? » Yeonha received a glare from Nayun and wondered who the dignitary was for the girl to burn a hole on the side of her head at the mention of him

negatively.

« Who is he anyway? » *Yeonha*

« Listen to the voice for once and wait for the reveal! » Nayun smirked at her reply. She wanted to take revenge for Yeonha's bullying.

Because Chae Nayun was next to me, it felt like I was sitting on needles.

« Hey what is he insinuating?! » Nayun pouted with displeasure at the comment.

« That you're a pain to deal with. » Yeonha quickly cached the punch directed to her face.

« Is saying the truth forbidden now? » She smirked at the sight of Nayun's face. It was worth all the trouble she'll get for messing with the brunette.

"...Haaam."

"Happy?"

Once. I yawned once because I was bored. But Chae Nayun, who was looking

for an excuse to pick a fight, finally shot back at me. I retorted briefly.

"What."

"You've had a smirk for a while."

"..."

It was unfair that she could look so pretty while making such remarks.

Silence filled the room.

While Nayun was covering her face with her hands to hide the red on her cheeks, the other four cadets shot glares at the screen.

Well, Jonghak because he didn't like what Hajin was thinking about Nayun while Suho, Yeonha and Rachel didn't like the fact that Nayun was the person who the boy had such a view on.

I planned to stay silent at first, but I suddenly remembered the reason I was here.

« That he defeated the djinn alongside you? » *Rachel*

"You didn't forget, did you?"

Nayun turned her face away from the screen. She won't witness this scene again.

"Forget what?"

Each of her words was covered in thorns. I spoke as I stared into her eyes.

"That I saved you."

"..."

« Um… Technically it's true… » *Jonghak*

Nayun glared at him for daring to say that. The boy was gaining too much confidence which was starting to become annoying.

She still looked angry, but she shut her mouth at a loss for words.

"That's that and this is..."

« You still stutter like you do now every time you have a conversation with him. » Yeonha bursted out laughing. Now that Nayun had a crush on Hajin, she stuttered even more than before.

"Stop, both of you."

Yeonha wiggled her eyebrows at the scene. How interesting~ Is it going to be a love triangle now that Suho was implied? It promised a great show.

[I'm sorry for Riley who commented on one of the chapters. I'm truly sorry! T-T I didn't manage to write a scene with Hajin using Suho's blood and I'm currently searching for another idea implying your ship! I'm still thinking and I found an idea but it still needs some development so for now, I'll try including more hints in relationships without being too obvious on it to satisfy everyone ;)]

After a momentary contemplation, Chae Nayun opened her mouth to strike back, when Kim Suho cut in.

"W-What?"

"Chae Nayun, switch seats with me."

A cough was heard in the room and Rachel searched its source. She spotted Yeonha

grinning and restraining herself from laughing. She understood the scene.

She too thought the same thing but tried her best not to show any sign of agreeing.

Seriously, who was jealous in this scene?? Rachel looked back and forth between Suho and Nayun.

Use your imagination! I said I'll only show hints with every character and you decide what you do with these. You can also stay neutral like I do though. me too!

For the record, our seats were ordered: Kim Suho, Chae Nayun, then me.

"And if I refuse?"

"Hurry."

Suho looked away embarrassed with a faint flush avoiding the screen and Nayun who was peeking behind Yeonha and stared at him.

He only wanted to avoid a fight so why does the scene seem so strange now that

they were reacting to it. That's exactly the definition of normal until someone sees it.

'Why are these two interacting like that?' Jonghak preferred Suho sitting next to Hajin. He wouldn't admit it in his lifetime but he trusted that boy and he surely would keep Hajin away from Nayun.

What did I just write… Enough writing for the day… Was I the one who wrote this?

How embarrassing- (//°▽°//)

"No, why, I don't want to..."

Seeing them getting all touchy didn't feel too good.

« Who's the person he was jealous of? » Jonghak ignored the weirdness Yeonha implied with her question. The boy had since long started to turn a blind eye at what the four others were doing or saying.

Yeonha received the reactions she expected from the two, especially someone and repaid attention to the screen.

Thankfully, their obscene(?) scuffle quickly ended, and Kim Suho replaced the seat next to me.

Yeonha nudged Nayun with her elbow and whispered in her ear.

« He won against Nayun, I guess you're not that fond of Hajin then? » She casted her friend to the side trying her best to control the colour forming on her face.

Kim Suho looked at me and let out a dry cough.

"Thank you for back then."

"...What?"

I was struck dumb with amazement. I wanted to be left alone, so why was he still talking to me?

« Rude- » *Jonghak*

« I guess Hajin is still rude even to his favourite character… » *Nayun*

« What do you mean? He wasn't rude to him. » *Yeonha*

« Whose side are you seriously? » Nayun shot her a disgusted look, which made Yeonha chuckle.

"Back at the museum, if it wasn't for you, we wouldn't have won."

"No, you would have won even without me."

« I absolutely agree with him for once- »

« But Nayun, didn't you say you couldn't have won against the djinn the last time- » Yeonha was interrupted by a hand placed on her mouth. She shooed away the hand and stared sinisterly at the person responsible.

« Hehe sorry… » Nayun sheepishly smiled at her.

« What do you mean? He wasn't rude to him. » *Yeonha*

« Whose side are you seriously? » Nayun shot her a disgusted look, Yeonha chuckled at her.

If I wasn't there back then, Kim Suho might have awakened an even higher-dimensional power. Main characters always become strong through hardships and dangers.

« It was expected. » *Yeonha*

« Don't make it sound like something normal- » *Jonghak*

« Yeah, it's clearly unfair but what if I switched roles with Suho- » *Nayun*

°Don't even dare to think about it! Your world will end~ °

No one took the comment seriously since they knew it was only to add drama. Nayun didn't like the interruption though and placed a hand on her heart like she was stabbed.

"....No."

With that single word, Kim Suho turned his gaze back.

At that moment, an extraordinary undulation of magic power rang out.

The 'dignitary' had finally arrived.

They forgot what they were talking about earlier as they turned their attention to the screen.

"H-He's here. Everyone get ready!"

He was today's commendation conferrer, the Master rank Hero titled 'Wolf of

Valhalla'.

Nayun was shaking at the mention of her master. Don't misunderstand like Rachel, it was out of excitement and nothing else. She probably wouldn't be scared of her dad's friend and above that, her master.

She respected him dearly despite him not wanting her as a student when she started training to be an archer.

[His shoulder-length hair was curved up slightly, and he had a well-trimmed beard uncommon for an Eastern man. The regality given off by his extraordinary appearance wasn't limited to an invisible feeling. As though a wind was blowing, each of his steps caused a thin undulation of magic power. His raw power had already reached a realm where even he couldn't fully control it. ]

"...Huu."

Looking around the room with his wolf-like eyes, the Master rank Hero, Yoo Sihyuk, murmured quietly.

"These fuckers telling me what to do..."

« He cursed… Are you sure it's your master? » *Yeonha*

« Of course! And he's right to curse them out! No one has the right to tell him what to do! » Nayun replied smugly.

« Sigh If you say so… » *Yeonha*

It was so quiet that only I could hear it with my Gift. With a moderate arrogance and a lethargic attitude, Yoo Sihyuk pushed back the guests flocking towards him.

« Now I understand where you got your attitude from. » mumbled Yeonha.

« What was that? » Nayun narrowed her eyes at her and she replied with a small smile gracing her lips.

« Nothing, no need to worry. » She moved her hand back and forth.

He walked up to the podium commandingly. His attendants ran up and handed him a paper which listed the order of the ceremony. Clicking his tongue, Yoo Sihyuk glanced at the paper before he threw it away. His attendants took the discarded paper and ran off.

« How arrogant of him. » *Jonghak*

« Right? » Rachel agreed with him. It definitely wasn't the attitude of a hero towards the public. He needs to be better as an example towards others.

Chae Nayun stared at them, shocked at their opinion of her master. She turned to make eye contact with Kim Suho but the boy directed his eyes to the screen.

—Now, the conferment ceremony will begin.

The host announced the start of the ceremony.

« Can we skip all these? It's useless. You won't get any reaction from us. » *Jonghak*

°I decide whether you react to something or not. Boring or entertaining. ° Jonghak scoffed at the answer.

—The commendation will be conferred by the rank 37 Master rank Hero, Sir Yoo Sihyuk.

'They brought quite the big shot this time around.' Thought Yeonha.

Cube sure wasn't the type to neglect its students but they didn't expect for them to bring Yoo Sihyuk out of everyone. Hajin was right. Can't they just give the commendation themselves?

The concerned people didn't even seem to enjoy being there and Yeonha didn't have a great feeling about him.

As we rehearsed, Kim Suho, Chae Nayun, and I walked up to the podium.

Yoo Sihyuk smirked as soon as he saw Kim Suho.

« No… Please… First Hajin and his cheats and now blatant favouritism towards Suho? » Jonghak complained bitterly.

« He's the main character. Of course everyone will pay attention to Suho. » *Yeonha*

« It's still unfair in my opinion. » Jonghak turned with a sigh.

"Are you Kim Suho?"

« No. » *Nayun*

Suho looked at the girl confused. It was him, wasn't it?

« But it's me? Who else could it be? »

« The fact that you answered with a question only proves my point. »

Yeonha looked exasperated at the scene. Nayun was acting childish. It was going to be a long episode; she just knew it. Hopefully there'll be a break after that.

"Yes."

"Mm. I can see why those guys want you."

« I don't know what they see in you… » Jonghak shook his head. It seemed like Nayun wasn't the only one jealous after all.

« Well, he's the mai- »

« It was a hypothetical question. » Jonghak interrupted. He appeared defeated at the incredulous girl.

She slowly nodded her head and they acted like nothing happened. This was awkward. Suho, Yeonha and Nayun stayed silent.

Intense interest was reflected in Yoo Sihyuk's eyes. With an unusual kindness, Yoo Sihyuk advised Kim Suho.

« HEY WAIT- THAT'S MY MASTER » Nayun cried

« I guess Suho will steal him. » Yeonha smirked at the brunette who was fuming with anger and outrage.

« Wait, it's not like that Nayun! » Suho tried his best to comfort her.Intense interest was reflected in Yoo Sihyuk's eyes. With an unusual kindness, Yoo Sihyuk advised Kim Suho.

« Wait, it's not like that Nayun! » Suho tried his best to comfort her.

Chae Nayun stared at him in disbelief. Was her best friend betraying her like that? Not only did he steal her master but he gathered everyone's luck and attention. This world truly revolves around him…

"Don't join the Association. It might even be better to join the Vast Expanse and become a hunter. Being a Hero is nothing but a baggage of responsibility and no fun."

« What's this dude blabbering about? » Jonghak looked at the screen irritated. Is this guy seriously trying to recruit Suho? He sure wasn't going to succeed.

« If he wants to gain a reaction from Suho, he can keep waiting. He's way too soft for that. » affirmed Yeonha. Kim Suho was embarrassed at their reaction. He didn't think his friends knew him that well.

"...Still, a Hero fits my personality best."

« You were made to be that so I understand your opinion on that matter. » Rachel shot him with one of her shy smiles. I just noticed! I rarely see Rachel smiling at others unlike how she does with Hajin.

Kim Suho revealed a clear refusal with a smile. In response, the corner of Yoo Sihyuk's mouth twisted up.

« Huh- What a creep… » mumbled Yeonha under her breath. Fortunately for her, Nayun was too busy admiring her master on the screen to hear her comment.

"You're a boring guy. Fine... And you, it's been a while, eh?"

Suho felt relieved. You clearly wanted to interact more with him but was too lazy to try and continue.

°Hey! I have a name! Why is he addressing me by using *you*?!°

This time, it was Chae Nayun. When her eyes met him, she made a bitter

expression.

"...It's been a while."

"Your father told me to take care of you, but I don't plan on doing that."

"I... Master—"

"I'm not your master. A bow user like you thinks you can call me Master? Do you want to die?"

« Why is he so angry that you're a bow user? » *Jonghak*

Nayun bowed her head and gazed at her lap. Ouch- Jonghak touched a sensitive topic without knowing. Jonghak patted her shoulder and held her hand while apologising. Yeonha furrowed her eyebrows at the scene. Meanwhile Rachel found the scene worthy of a K-drama.

The brunette cadet was too deep in thoughts to stop Jonghak.

At his open reproach, Chae Nayun only stuck out her mouth in a pout. Seeing her reduced to such a pathetic state, I struggled to hold in my laughter.

Jonghak's question really affected her. She didn't shout at Hajin but continued to look at the screen.

"...And who are you?"

"I am cadet Kim Hajin."

"Oh... Okay."

That was it for me. A completely different treatment than what Kim Suho and Chae Nayun got.

« Was he expecting something else when he knew he's just an extra in this story… »

*Yeonha*

« Let Hajin have some hope. He definitely needs it. » Yeonha and Suho nodded their heads in agreement with Rachel's statement.

It seemed indifference really was more painful than hatred.

« Since when did he f'ing care? » said Nayun indifferently. Then she realised that something was on her palm. She quickly retracted her hand and was a blushing mess.
