At the top of a building, Kachisabi and Ninsun can be seen. Ninsun is sitting on the edge of the building, while Kachisabi is standing, both appreciating the blurred view of the city as they converse.
- So, they used you just to open a cursed chest and, instead of giving in, you went to the darkness of the 10th floor? asks Kachisabi.
- Well, as I said, yes. I didn't want to give them what they wanted on a silver platter - responds Ninsun.
- You're crazy, aren't you? But now it makes sense how you got here. On the 10th floor, when you give in to the darkness, it destroys your soul and mind. But, since what arrived there was a body and it became part of the tower through memories in a place it shouldn't be, the system opened a loophole, so to speak - says Kachisabi.
- But that still doesn't explain how my mind and soul remained intact when I entered the darkness - says Ninsun.
- Well, maybe the person I killed had a strong desire to kill me in the end. That's why nothing happened to your mind and soul when you got here - says Kachisabi.
- I see, so your will served as protection for me - says Ninsun.
Ninsun notices that Kachisabi looks at her with a troubled expression, as if expecting something from her.
- What's wrong? - asks Ninsun.
- You don't seem bothered by the fact that the last person who was here, I killed - responds Kachisabi, while sitting down on the edge of the building next to Ninsun.
- We've only known each other for a short time, but I don't think you're like that. I don't think you would hurt someone without a purpose. Actually, you seem out of the ordinary for the tower - says Ninsun.
- Out of the ordinary, huh? Many people have a wrong idea about the tower. They think the Bosses and living beings are just part of the scenery, but everyone has consciousness and a soul - says Kachisabi.
- Really? I always thought they were just there to complement. So, in the floors where there are worlds, the people in them are actually alive? - asks Ninsun.
- Yes, everyone has their own story and name, just like anyone else - responds Kachisabi with a smile on his face.
- So, you also have a name and a story, right? You told me you didn't have a name, was that true? - asks Ninsun.
- Actually, I do, but I don't like it very much. It's more of a title I earned than a real name - responds Kachisabi.
- But you refer to yourself with that title, don't you? So, it's not a problem - says Ninsun.
- Well... I guess so. Kachisabi looks up at the sky momentarily thoughtful, then looks at Ninsun with a contagious smile and says: - Nice to meet you, my name is Kachisabi.
- Haha, nice to meet you, Kachisabi. My name is Ninsun - says Ninsun while laughing.
Two weeks later, Kachisabi continued training Ninsun, putting her in simulations to increase her combat experience, making her fight against various monsters from the first floors. Ninsun, after exiting her last simulated battle, couldn't find Kachisabi. Every time Ninsun woke up, Kachisabi was there to give her guidance on her mistakes in battle, but he was simply not there. Ninsun then decided to walk around the fake city of the cross to try to find him.
The city that Kachisabi created through my memories seemed almost identical to the real city. Apparently, this must be his power. Although it seems useful, I'm not sure if it would be effective in a real battle, considering the level of the enemy. Ninsun continued walking around the city while whistling, until she came across a Lan house. This Lan house, unlike the city and other stores, was more similar to the real one. Maybe it's because most of my memories are from here.
Upon entering, Ninsun noticed that all the games there were playable. For a moment, she got distracted playing a fighting game until she heard a stream running behind the staff door of the Lan house. With each step she took, she heard the sound of a hammer hitting a sword, heard fire crackling while hearing someone humming. All of this in an addictive rhythm. With each step, the sound got louder, and when she put her hand on the door, she felt a strong sense of nostalgia.
When she was about to open it, she heard Kachisabi call her.
- Ninsun, is everything okay? - asks Kachisabi with a concerned expression.
Ninsun no longer heard the sound, didn't hear the stream, the hammer, or someone humming. She glanced at Kachisabi with a sad look and opened the door. Upon opening it, she saw nothing but a white space blocked by the buildings.
- What? Am I hallucinating? - says Ninsun.
- Ninsun, are you okay? - asks Kachisabi.
- Yes, I'm fine. I just think staying here isn't doing me any good - says Ninsun while sitting down on the ground.
- Relax, the teleport stone will be ready soon - says Kachisabi.
Ninsun lay down, looking up at the sky. She looked directly at the sun. The light that would blind her if she were in her body now was just an annoying glare. She looked at the sun for a while without saying anything, without thinking about anything. Kachisabi, concerned about Ninsun, sat down beside her and watched the sun with her. That glare now didn't bother just her, but both of them.
