"Slaanesh! Take this! I'll take your head for the Blood God!" roared the recovering Ka'Bandha, swinging his axe at the Slaanesh Slayer.
From their point of view, it didn't matter who you were—if you attacked, they'd fight back.
Especially against their rivals in Slaanesh—the purple sword and the axe collided.
Masses of lesser, greater, and champion daemons tore into each other, relishing the carnage.
Live or die, doesn't matter—fight if you're not convinced!
"Minions! Destroy these Khorne wretches! We will rule this world. The souls of the Blood Angels here—we will offer them to the Dark Prince!" howled the Slaanesh-slayer.
Countless daemons were shattered, their souls returning to the Warp. But some Khorne daemons now noticed—if killed by this purple daemon, their souls did not return to the Warp, but were utterly annihilated.
Ka'Bandha naturally charged at the Slaanesh leader, and the two dueled.
But Ka'Bandha was horrified—he was no match for the purple giant, losing in just two exchanges.
With casual swings, the Slaanesh-slayer broke his giant axe.
The difference was huge; the Slaanesh daemons howled in triumph, cheering their powerful new boss.
Looks like they'd picked a winner.
"What are you? A Slaanesh Greater Daemon? No—your body isn't Warp-stuff, but flesh and blood from realspace!
Are you a Chosen? Or an Ascended? What are you?" Ka'Bandha demanded, staring at the purple giant.
He now realized something was wrong—the foe was terrifyingly powerful, but his body was real, not a Warp-energy form.
That meant only a Chaos Chosen or Champion—but Champions weren't this strong.
Even Chosen shouldn't be this terrifying; at best, they rivaled a Greater Daemon.
Not a Greater Daemon, not a Daemon Prince, not a Chosen, not a Champion—just what was this guy?
"I'm your daddy!" the Slaanesh-slayer taunted, slicing off Ka'Bandha's arm.
Fully empowered, the Slaanesh-slayer was stronger than any normal Emperor's Avatar—Rhodes only gave the Avatars one boost of Emperor's power, while the Slaanesh-slayer got the full treatment.
Anyway, the Emperor would replenish his psychic energy, so why waste gold?
The only ones who got Rhodes' full empowerment were the first Avatar and the first Slaanesh-slayer.
"Curse you! You coward, state your name! What are you? When did Slaanesh create you?" Ka'Bandha roared.
This guy's power was terrifying—when did Slaanesh make such a thing?
If something this strong could roam the materium, it would be a disaster for Khorne, and the other gods too.
He had to report this!
"Why don't you ask your master? I think he'll tell you who I am," the Slaanesh-slayer sneered, stomping Ka'Bandha to the ground.
He hacked off the legs, then ripped off the giant daemon wings, set his foot on Ka'Bandha's head, and raised his purple blade, declaring victory.
The 50-meter Slaanesh-slayer crushed the 10-meter Khorne daemon with ease.
"Roar!" Ka'Bandha bellowed in defeat.
The Slaanesh-slayer snorted, then beheaded Ka'Bandha, banishing his soul to the Warp.
With their daemon leader dead, the Khorne daemons lost their nerve. Though still ferocious, they couldn't match the Slaanesh daemons.
"Great one, please tell us your name.
We'll follow you to victory, and continue pleasing our master," a high-ranking Slaanesh daemonette fawned.
She was as strong as a Slaaneshi daemon prince, maybe even not weaker than the fallen Fulgrim.
But none could tell who this being was—a Greater Daemon, Chosen, Prince, or something else?
The Slaanesh-slayer sneered, about to respond, when Rhodes' psychic message came through.
"Slaanesh-slayer, you've had it easy too long. I have a glorious, difficult mission for you," Rhodes said, even as he fought the Tyranid fleet in space.
He explained the plan: to have the Slaanesh-slayer pose as a Slaanesh daemon to infiltrate the enemy.
But now Rhodes had an even crazier idea. Why just summon daemons from the Warp, when you could get an official identity?
"Please give your orders, master!
Whatever the task, I'll do it. I am your sword," the Slaanesh-slayer replied eagerly.
"Here's the plan—this time you'll have to play undercover," Rhodes said.
…Undercover? The Slaanesh-slayer got a very bad feeling.
Rhodes explained the whole plan.
"Master, are you sure this will work? Will I get out alive?" the Slaanesh-slayer asked nervously.
"Don't worry. If you're in danger, I'll pull you back instantly—100% safe.
If you pull this off, I'll make you even stronger, maybe even to the top one day," Rhodes promised.
If this worked, he'd upgrade the Slaanesh-slayer first.
"All right, master. I'll do it," the Slaanesh-slayer agreed, steeling himself.
He then turned to the daemons before him.
"You're all servants of the Dark Prince, right?"
"Of course! Like you, we're all loyal to the great Prince of Dark Pleasure," the daemonette replied.
All Chaos daemons and mortal followers are servants of the gods—just ranked higher or lower.
"I am no servant. I'm not like you low-level creatures," the Slaanesh-slayer sneered, resting his sword on his shoulder.
The Slaanesh daemons fell silent, staring in disbelief.
"Great one—what do you mean? Are you betraying our master?" the daemonette asked.
All who wield Slaanesh's power are the Dark Prince's servants—no exceptions.
"Don't lump me in with you. I'm not human, nor a Chaos daemon like you.
Nor am I a Chaos-empowered ascended monster," the Slaanesh-slayer declared.
"Impossible! You can't fake the master's power—this is a gift," the daemonette insisted.
Such power could only come from the Dark Prince!
"Yes, this power is from the Dark Prince. But I am no servant. Now kneel—kneel before your crown prince," the Slaanesh-slayer demanded.
"Who are you? What do you mean?" the daemonette asked.
With such terrifying Slaanesh might, stronger than any daemon she'd seen, who was he? Why call himself crown prince?
"Who am I? I am the true child of the Dark Prince.
I have perfectly inherited all his (her) power," the Slaanesh-slayer proclaimed.
The daemonette's jaw dropped in disbelief.
Was this a joke? He claimed to be the Dark Prince's child!
Wait—that's not the point. The point is, can a Chaos God even have children?
"Impossible, that's impossible!" the daemonette shrieked.
"Nothing's impossible! Not even your master knows I exist.
Take me to the palace—I want to meet my father… or mother," the Slaanesh-slayer said.
"You… you really are the master's child?" the daemonette asked.
So, the question was—what kind of being could birth a Chaos God's child?
Was the master his father or mother? If it were mother, the master would know…
Looks like something big is coming.
