Chapter 8 - Discussion

Sitting in the "Super Fun Giga Van™," I stared into the eyes of Gwenddydd as I bluntly asked, ''Was controlling my body through the suit the only way to stop the mutant?'' Gwenddydd's eyes flashed golden for a brief second before responding, ''It indeed was. Though, if you noticed earlier, we could very well have kept it alive, but we still would have to kill it.''

''Mmm...'' Letting out a sound, Nathaniel closed his eyes and leaned back into his seat before asking—or rather affirming his thoughts—''So what you're saying is the death of that baby was inevitable?''

Gwenddydd shifted their gaze slightly from looking at his face to looking at his heart for a brief moment before locking their eyes back onto his face. ''Yes, that is indeed the case.''

So that's how it is, huh? Grim... I proceeded to let out a brief sigh before asking something that had been on my mind for a while: ''When Andros and I were in the illusion, I heard a term that sounded a bit off. Could you perchance tell me what 'mutant possibility' means?''

Gwenddydd didn't speak for a few moments, but she eventually opened her mouth to answer his question, saying, ''This 'mutant possibility' you speak of is not a term for anything specifically. However, there is a stage a mutant can go through that is rarely seen, called mutation of probabilities, which allows them to undergo a sort of metamorphosis. It allows their power to, well, obtain infinite probabilities instead of just one.''

Nathaniel then asked, now with his eyes open and no longer relaxing in his seat, ''What exactly do you mean by that?'' Gwenddydd didn't even need to think for a second before answering his question: ''Think of it like this: someone is a mutant who is only able to shoot fire from their eyes at the cost of burning them.

Now after they go through metamorphosis they gain the ability to shoot fire from everywhere, or rather anywhere, with no drawbacks or loopholes. It's that simple.''

''So what you're saying is, once a mutant reaches a certain level of power, they undergo a metamorphosis, kind of like a butterfly? Then their ability, once limited to coming out in a certain way and with conditions—like their eyes must burn for fire to come out of them—would no longer have such restrictions. They would also gain the ability to shoot it from everywhere?''

''Precisely anything else you want to ask?'' ''No'' after saying that Nathanael leaned back into his seat eyes closed thinking 'Am I really a sinner I don't think so' with that quick thought Nathanael quickly grabbed his mouth concealing a grin 'So being a transmigrater has some perks after all, although it would have been better if I was Chinese after all they always get the best cheats'

''Is something wrong Nathanael?'' quickly releasing his mouth Nathanael spoke ''Yea-'' but he soon cut himself off thinking 'No this isn't right although I indeed no longer feel that horrible feeling I still changed also that machine woman I nearly forgot to ask her'

''Now don't lie when I ask you this Gwenddydd did you give me the feelings of a sinner.'' though Nathaniel asked he already knew not even needing to look at the beauty so perfect if she was human would undoubtedly would be called the most perfect woman an 'Eve' if you would or something better more godlike devilish even.

Gwenddydd blinked her beautiful eyes multiple times before speaking ''-''

Jibrīl opened their flashing golden eyes as they stared at the utterly white ceiling above them, thinking, 'So it has begun—the first sin of man, which will result in the last miracle of God, as he who is almighty, benevolent, and sinful is born. Should I say hallelujah or sorry?'

After all, I couldn't stop his descent into sin because of that bastard Merlin. I truly hate you, Merlin, with every last cell in my body. I do nothing but hope you die and rot forever in the prison of District 0... ᶻᶻᶻ. Getting up from their bed, Jibrīl wiped a tear from the corner of her eye before slowly walking towards the door. But with their hand gripping the doorknob, she couldn't help but say, as she slightly tilted her head to the ''window'',

''Hallelujah, good morning, oh star of the end! I hope your dream indeed ends with the holy land in which you seek for everyone in the world to atone for your original sin.'' After finishing her words, Jibrīl twisted her doorknob, opening her door as she stepped into the hallways of NexGen.

Slowly decreasing her pace of walking, Jibrīl turned to a certain door and opened it, causing alarms to go off. Yet she didn't care, knowing it was merely there to inform the head that a staff member might be dead, so prepare a replacement for them pronto. Walking inside the rather spacious room, Jibrīl came face to face with a researcher—her hazelnut hair and emerald green eyes complemented a slightly chubby face with cheeks full of freckles.

Upon witnessing Jibrīl, the woman couldn't help but tremble, looking nearly identical to a scared puppy. Upon witnessing this scene, Jibrīl scoffed in their head before opening their mouth for the second time since she woke up, saying.

''If something happens to the knew sinners original sin pathways in their suit do to you not having sleep I will flay your skin off while your still alive have a contaminant rape you make you eat the child that comes from it rip off all your fingers then hang you by your intestine while making sure you see your little heart beat until it stops then i'll revive you and a sufferor without a 0 District brand leaving you to suffer eternal pain until the world ends.''

After saying that all in one breath and with no breaks in between, Jibrīl smiled brightly at her before briskly skipping to the door, leaving and closing it without looking back, leaving a fearful puppy quivering from fear in her wake. Until, with a flash of pink,

"Ahh, so it is true—a mortal was indeed born here without sin and instead with virtue. A shame indeed, for no god even glances at the place 'Mother' has set out to purge to become whole again, though.

*Sigh* I didn't expect her to like that sinner so much that she would risk meeting this destined Juliet. Oops, I forgot which era I'm in; so much I nearly attracted gēge to this place. Silly me, I guess I should take my leave as well, no? Not going to respond? That's fine; I know you 'hear' me and see 'me.' No need to be so shy, little d—"

Unable to finish the sentence, the source of the voice could only once more sigh as they looked around the room, now back to normal except for some blood here and there.

"Treating me as a clean-up crew after what you did? How harsh~" Saying that without a hint of anger, the entity's voice vanished along with anything related to what happened after Jibrīl left.
