I have always been curious about the human body.
The way it does things, it automatically knows how to behave even when your brain is fighting or doesn't know. The small things, subtle, like ticks you have but aren't self-conscious of it.
Or the behaviour that you have that leads you to do things that you wouldn't do when your brain is fully in control.
Miko has his hand around my waist, pressing me into him. My whole back is snugged against his front as he breathes heavily behind me, deeply asleep.
When we fell asleep yesterday, the space between us emotionally and physically was palpable, and now … now it's non-existent.
I can't help smiling as I stretch my limbs languidly, feeling the boy behind me sigh and pull me towards him, his face pressing on the back of my neck.
We have slept so many times, but not once did we wake up snuggled like this. Not this possessively anyway.
I take his hand in mine, heavy as he is deep asleep, and link my fingers through his.
