Chapter 105 - Grudges

"I probably wasn't even qualified..." Zara muttered to herself as she sat on the living room couch, her phone gripped tightly in her hand.

Anger and frustration simmered beneath her skin, crawling through her veins like fire.

"Is she that desperate to have me back in ballet?" she whispered, brows furrowed.

She dialed Melissa's number for the umpteenth time.

No answer.

Zara glanced at the wall clock. 10 p.m.

She sighed, defeated. "I should just call her tomorrow."

Her phone buzzed. A text message from Zavier lit up the screen.

"I hope you're ready for tomorrow?"

Zara exhaled sharply. "I can't believe it actually slipped my mind for a second."

They were finally going back to the farmhouse. It had been two weeks since they discovered the gold mine, and Zavier had made all the arrangements to move the stash.

"Yes. I'll meet you there," she texted back.

Another message followed almost immediately.

"I need to tell you something important. Come early."
