Chapter 248 - Chapter 248: Crushing Hu Liena

"Boom!"

The figure of Enchantress (Yaomei) was sent flying, and as the pink mist dissipated, two separate figures appeared before the crowd's eyes.

During their "flight," both Hu Liena and Xie Yue wore expressions of utter shock. They had no power to resist such pure, overwhelming strength.

"Hmm, what did I just hit?" Dai Mubai muttered, looking at his right hand in confusion. Something about the impact didn't feel right.

"How strange…"

Hu Liena and Xie Yue tumbled out of the arena, landing hard on the ground. Though conscious, both were writhing in intense pain.

Suddenly, Hu Liena's face went pale. With an inexplicable burst of energy, she flipped herself over, glancing downward.

"Ahh!"

Her scream echoed through the arena.

What she had once taken great pride in was now… incomplete. For the first time, as she looked down, a single foot entered her field of vision. That had never happened before!

Dai Mubai was stunned as well. He had no idea something like this could occur.

No wonder that punch felt like hitting a balloon or a bag of air.

The audience was equally dumbfounded. While injuries were commonplace in battles, this type of injury was unprecedented.

Could Hu Liena even find the courage to continue living after such a calamity?

This radiant young woman, once the darling of Spirit Hall, had been struck by what could only be described as a heavenly tribulation.

"Oh my god, Dai Mubai is utterly terrifying!"

"Hold on. We all saw it—he hit Enchantress on the shoulder. How did it end up like this? Even he didn't seem to know!"

Someone in the audience attempted to offer a "fair" explanation, and they were right—Dai Mubai's attack had targeted the shoulder. Who could have predicted how their martial soul fusion would work?

"I swear, it wasn't intentional. Do you believe me?" Dai Mubai asked weakly, looking genuinely baffled.

He had no grudge against Hu Liena. Why would he intentionally do something like this?

Hearing his words, the heavily injured Hu Liena raised a trembling hand, pointing at Dai Mubai.

"You…"

Before she could finish, anger overwhelmed her, and she fainted.

"Me? Are you forgiving me?" Dai Mubai asked, his expression unchanged. Naturally, Hu Liena, now unconscious, didn't reply.

"…"

The crowd collectively froze. Forgive him?

No way! She'd probably hold a grudge against him for life. If there were ever an opportunity, she might even try to kill him!

"Nana!"

From her throne, Bibi Dong shot to her feet and vanished, reappearing beside Hu Liena. She scooped her up gently, her expression darkening as she examined the injuries.

When she looked up at Dai Mubai, her eyes radiated killing intent so intense it almost became tangible.

As one of the continent's notorious Killing Gods, Bibi Dong wielded the Killing God Domain, an aura of dread.

"Bibi Dong!"

Qian Daoliu's sudden shout reverberated through the arena as his soul power exploded outward, suppressing the entire area with a terrifying pressure.

Even the golden-armored Title Douluos began sweating under the weight of his aura.

Bibi Dong snapped out of her rage, her eyes lingering on Dai Mubai for a long moment before she suppressed her bloodlust and vanished with Hu Liena in her arms.

"Who was that?"

A younger spectator whispered hesitantly, not daring to look directly in Qian Daoliu's direction.

An older man nearby swallowed hard, speaking with reverence. "If I'm not mistaken, that was Qian Daoliu, the former High Priest of Spirit Hall. To think he's still alive… Spirit Hall is truly terrifying!"

"No wonder the Title Douluo elders were so subdued. With him watching, how could they dare misstep?"

As whispers filled the air, the audience's focus shifted away from the fight. On the arena stage, Dai Mubai and the remaining members of Spirit Hall's Golden Generation exchanged uneasy glances.

Should they keep fighting?

They knew they stood no chance. Yet surrendering outright felt too humiliating.

The five were caught in a stalemate, unsure of their next move.

Dai Mubai, for his part, hesitated as well. He could eliminate the remaining four in seconds, but the unexpected turn of events left him uncertain about how to proceed.

"Nana…"

Xie Yue, barely conscious, muttered Hu Liena's name as he passed out. His mind was filled with guilt and confusion.

Why? Why is he so strong?!

As his fingernails dug into his palms, Xie Yue's last thoughts before blacking out were of his niece. Would his future nephew or niece even have enough to eat?

That poor child, destined to suffer…

"Dai Mubai, you deserve to die!"

Xie Yue's rage-filled thoughts echoed in his mind as he lost consciousness.

Moments later, Bibi Dong reappeared, her icy demeanor sending chills through the arena. Her gaze, filled with murderous intent, locked onto Dai Mubai.

This blond brat had already entangled himself with her daughter, Qian Renxue. Now, he had gone and grievously injured her direct disciple. How could she not be furious?

If not for Qian Daoliu's intervention, she might have already attacked Dai Mubai.

"Spirit Hall Academy forfeits!" Bibi Dong declared coldly.

Though it burned her pride, she knew she couldn't afford to act rashly. Besides, she was well aware that Dai Mubai hadn't intended this outcome.

"What? The Pope herself declared Spirit Hall's forfeit?"

"What else could they do? Do you think Spirit Hall could defeat Dai Mubai?"

"He's a Soul Douluo candidate, only seventeen years old! And don't forget—he has three 100,000-year soul bones!"

As Bibi Dong's words faded, the referee sighed and announced:

"The All-Continent Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament Finals Champion: Shrek Academy!"

Even after the announcement, the arena remained eerily silent.

The day had left everyone utterly drained. First, the shocking display of Spirit Hall's hidden Title Douluos, many of whom were appearing for the first time, had shaken the world. Their presence suggested Spirit Hall was preparing for something monumental.

Then there was Qian Daoliu and the mysterious figures surrounding him. Who were they?

Amid these overwhelming revelations, Dai Mubai's casual dominance was just one more layer of disbelief.
