Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Second Class, Double the Rewards

Chapter 6: Second Class, Double the Rewards¹

Thud!

After the gunfire—

The bodies of the gang members collapsed like puppets whose strings had been severed.

They fell helplessly onto the filthy, dust-covered ground, their body heat quickly fading.

Those once-greedy eyes—

Now dimmed and lifeless, saw no more of the world, forever sinking into an endless abyss.

These gang members probably never imagined they would die so suddenly, so completely unprepared.

That inconspicuous Asian man—

Had transformed into a death god from hell, reaping their sinful souls with the casual swing of a scythe.

With a flick of his hand, Jiang Feng ended the lives of these lowly thugs.

Jiang Feng's expression remained as calm as a still lake, not a single ripple disturbed his face.

On the surface, he looked like a harmless academic in glasses—

But in truth—

Killing to him was as ordinary as eating or drinking, unworthy of a second thought.

The nerdy engineer act was nothing more than a façade.

At that moment—

Two completely different sounds echoed in Jiang Feng's mind.

> Ding! You have used the exoskeleton armor to successfully kill 7 common thugs.

The Engineer class gains 10 EXP, and the Warrior class gains 10 EXP.

> Ding! Reincarnator: Jiang Feng.

Killed 7 common thugs.

Gained 7 Reincarnation Points.¹

The first—

Came from Jiang Feng's one-of-a-kind support system: the Infinite Class System.

The second—

Came from the Reincarnation Space, a basic function shared by all reincarnators.

"So as long as I fight with tech-based equipment, I can earn EXP for both classes. That means I'll level up much faster than I thought."

A rare smile appeared on Jiang Feng's otherwise indifferent face.

The Infinite Class System—

Unlocks a new class every time he enters a new world.

Now that he had entered Iron Man 2, the system had already activated and granted him a second class.¹

That was also the reason he came to Hell's Kitchen.

To level up both classes—

He couldn't just hole up in a lab tinkering with gadgets all day.

He needed to pick up a weapon and get his hands bloody in the real world.

> [Classholder: Jiang Feng]

[Second Class: Warrior]

[Level: Lv1 (10/3000)]

[Class Talent 1 – Natural Strength: Physical attributes permanently increased by 30%. Strength output permanently increased by 100%.]⁵

The new world had granted him the Warrior class—

And Jiang Feng was very satisfied.

It was a perfect fit, since his first class was more supportive and didn't directly boost combat power.

Now they complemented each other perfectly.

"Warrior"—

Might sound plain and common, a dime-a-dozen kind of name—

But Jiang Feng knew: anything given by the system was bound to be powerful.

There was nothing "ordinary" about it.

As he leveled up the Warrior class, he would unlock more and more powerful talents.

The potential was limitless, and the future looked bright.⁶

In the days ahead—

Who knows what kind of abilities the Warrior class would awaken?

Jiang Feng looked forward to finding out.

He continued leisurely through Hell's Kitchen—

Having just killed someone.

Thanks to his dual reward system, he gained experience from both the Reincarnation Space and his own system.¹

And conveniently, New York had no shortage of gang members.

Even though most were just ordinary humans, they were more than enough—

To use as training fodder.

Hell's Kitchen was practically a beginner's farming dungeon.

As a system-based Reincarnator, Jiang Feng naturally had to come and pay his respects.

"Linglong, locate the nearby gang hideouts for me."

"No problem, Master. I've already completed that task in advance. All targets are marked on the map."

"There's a group of drug dealers in the residential building to your left. They are armed with firearms. Please proceed with caution."

Hearing this—

Jiang Feng stopped strolling and looked toward the building ahead on his left.

It was a six- or seven-story apartment complex, dimly lit, with just a few windows glowing faintly.

Standing beneath it—

He could vaguely hear rough voices drifting from a yellow-lit window.

The smart glasses Jiang Feng wore housed the AI known as Linglong—

She came from the Cyberpunk 2077 world, her programming far more advanced than anything in this universe.

She was likely far superior to even J.A.R.V.I.S..

Under Jiang Feng's prior instructions, Linglong had already hacked and modified the local surveillance systems.

Now, every camera in the vicinity was effectively blind.

As long as they were pointed at Jiang Feng—

They captured nothing useful.

Even if he went on a rampage and killed without restraint, there would be not a single frame of footage.

Jiang Feng, naturally, had no fear of being identified.

At the same time—

Linglong could hack into anyone's phone in New York, pulling massive amounts of personal data in an instant.

And use it—

To track down all kinds of targets.

In her eyes, no ordinary person had secrets.

"Activate X-ray scan."

Jiang Feng spoke softly.

Since the bloodshed had already begun, he might as well add a few more names to tonight's lucky list.

It was hunting time.

As soon as the words left his mouth—

The advanced tech in the smart glasses activated. Jiang Feng's vision shifted, now able to see through concrete walls.

He scanned quickly, identifying his targets—

Then, with a push of both legs, he burst forward at superhuman speed, racing toward the fourth floor.

That was where the drug dealers were holed up.

The dim light of a weak bulb flickered like a dying candle—

Illuminating the cramped room.

Several bald, muscular men sat huddled together—

Like a pack of beasts nesting in their lair.

Their shiny scalps gleamed with grease under the weak light, the table before them cluttered with empty bottles.

The alcohol shimmered murkily under the light—

The dealers poured the pungent liquid down their throats—

Then eagerly—

Snorted small piles of white powder like starving ghosts.

Each time they inhaled—

Their eyes briefly flickered with twisted satisfaction.

In this brief moment of intoxicated joy—

None of them noticed the shadow of death silently circling above.

"That chick from earlier, the one for five hundred bucks—she was wild. Almost broke my back."

One of the thugs, his face covered in fat, grinned—

Revealing a mouthful of crooked yellow teeth, his expression lewd and smug.

His laughter echoed through the room.

"Wild? Maybe your kidneys are shot. I hooked up with a college girl once. Now that was wild."

Another dealer, taller and leaner, raised his brow, pride flashing in his eyes.

"Heh, don't let their age fool you. Modern students know how to play better than anyone."²

A guy with a long scar across his face joined in the crude banter—

His voice raspy, like sandpaper scraping.

"You guys are getting me worked up. Once we sell this batch, let's go have some real fun."

Another bald fatty slapped his round belly—

Spitting booze and drool as his eyes burned with desire.

"Mmm… But we should be careful. That guy Daredevil's been active lately. Could be risky."

In the corner—

One of the thugs, his eyes cold and sharp, frowned with a trace of caution in his voice.

"What's there to be scared of? That damn Daredevil doesn't even kill people. Even if he catches us, he won't dare to off us. Coward."

The dealers chattered on and on—

Until suddenly—

Knock! Knock! Knock!

A crisp knock echoed from the battered door—

Loud and abrupt in the still of the night.

The sound—

Struck them like thunder. They immediately tensed—

Despite all the drinking and snorting, they hadn't completely let their guard down.

Much more alert than the random street thugs earlier.

This building stood in a remote part of town. Most residents had long since moved away like migrating birds.

Only a few households remained, surrounded by rows of empty rooms.

Even by Hell's Kitchen standards—

This was an extremely isolated spot.

Which was exactly—

Why the drug dealers had chosen it as a base, a lawless dark corner for their operation.

But now, in this desolate place—

Who could possibly be knocking at their door?

And at this time of night?
