The shadowy being was not surprised Nameless Death had deduced the truth. Since he was a Heavenbreaker he must've heard the demon and him talking.

Nameless Death returned to Zagreus and others.
"Welcome back, bitch. I thought you died there." Zagreus grinned, and bumped his fist into Nameless Death's shoulder.
Normally, Nameless Death would've cursed back.
But he stayed still.
And.
He asked,
"Did you find the soul Berserker took?"
"…."
Zagreus' smile disappeared. He shook his head and clicked his tongue.
