Mabel Quinn returned to the Kinston Residence, and Kyle Kinston had not come back yet. Mabel just put down her bag in her room and washed her face when her phone rang.
She picked up the phone, and Alice Conley's voice came through, "Mabel, are you free this weekend?"
"I should be free unless there's some overtime work from Morningstar. Why do you ask?" Mabel thought for a moment and said.
"Then this weekend, why don't we..." Alice's words were interrupted by the sound of the room door being pushed open.
Mabel looked up and saw Kyle Kinston striding towards her from the doorway. His face looked rather grim and a bit pale, his thin lips tightly pressed, and his phoenix eyes seemed to be deliberately suppressing something.
Before Mabel could react, Kyle had already walked up to her and embraced her tightly.
"Ah!" she exclaimed softly, and the phone in her hand slipped and fell to the ground.
