Seeing Lily Turner angrily heading for the door, Easton Holmes really thought she was going to leave. Now hearing her say this, he still had some doubts in his heart.
But seeing her speak so earnestly, it didn't really look like she was lying to deceive him. What exactly did she mean by this?
"Why go out to the courtyard in the middle of the day? You should go upstairs to your room. I'll handle things here." He didn't let go of her hand as she wished, but instead pulled her back inside.
Lily wanted to shake off the hand grabbing her. But the grip was too tight, and no matter how she tried, she couldn't free herself.
Wanting to pull back Easton to stop him, she found that with such frailty, she simply couldn't. She didn't waste her energy trying.
"Easton! Since you won't let me hide away, then I'll just stay here and babble nonsense." Lily was provoked by Easton's forceful attitude. Since she couldn't break free, and couldn't escape, she would stay and solve the matter with him.
