Mo Han glared at him angrily, signaling him to shut up.
Realizing he had misspoken, he quickly covered his mouth. In his heart, he prayed that the little guy hadn't heard what he said.
But, they were both overthinking it.
Originally just sniffling, Jingxi immediately burst into tears upon hearing his words.
Mo Han: "..." It's over!!
Xu Kun: "..." My dear little ancestor, please don't cry...
He glanced at the office door outside. Luckily, it was closed, otherwise if people outside heard, they'd think the two of them were mistreating a child!
"Jingxi, be good, don't cry." He reached out to hold him, but the little guy swatted his hand away before it touched him.
"Don't touch me."
"Alright, alright, I won't touch. Please don't cry anymore, okay?" Xu Kun said.
"Jingxi, as long as you stop crying, Uncle will promise you anything, okay?" Mo Han also chimed in.
Upon hearing these words, Jingxi stopped crying, "Are you serious?"
