The sign seemed to loom over her, the words "The Truth About Your Past" echoing in her mind.
As she pushed the door open, Anna was met with a blast of cold air. The room was dimly lit, and the air was thick with an eerie silence.
A figure stood in the center of the room, its back to Anna. "Welcome," it said, its voice low and gravelly.
Anna's heart racing, she took a step forward. "Who are you?" she demanded.
The figure slowly turned to face her. Anna's eyes widened as she saw the stranger's face. It was a face she didn't recognize, yet somehow it seemed familiar.
The stranger's eyes locked onto Anna's, and she felt a jolt of electricity run through her body. "I'm someone who knows the truth," the stranger said.
Anna's mind reeled as the stranger began to walk towards her. "What truth?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
The stranger's smile was enigmatic. "The truth about your past," it said. "The truth about who you really are."
