Chapter 201 - Qingyi's Video

Seth began recounting what happened after they entered the Outer Ring.

According to the plan, they went to the town controlled by the Lion's Tooth Gang to gather information about Perlman and look for an opportunity to capture him.

However, the townspeople told them that Perlman had followed the Lion's Tooth Gang leader to attack the Bangboo Gang.

To investigate further, they headed to Bangboo Town.

As soon as they entered the town, they encountered a giant rock beast, seven or eight meters tall—the leader of the Bangboo Gang, Azhdaha...

Before Seth could finish, the Chief of Public Security stared at him and interrupted, "What did you say? A Bangboo seven or eight meters tall?"

Seth explained, "Strictly speaking, it wasn't a Bangboo... more like a massive Ethereal, or some kind of giant beast. I have no idea where it came from."

Then, Seth continued.

After encountering the massive Azhdaha, their first instinct was to retreat—but it was too late. Azhdaha had already locked onto them.

What followed was a desperate escape...

Azhdaha, who was initially only seven or eight meters tall, grew rapidly, transforming into a 50-meter-tall monster in the blink of an eye.

The Chief of Public Security frowned, his expression full of disbelief: "??????"

A 50-meter-tall monster?

I sent you out there to catch fugitives, and now you're making up stories?

Seth sighed. "Chief, I know this sounds unbelievable, but what happened next is even more astonishing..."

Then, Seth continued describing Sam Li's battle with Azhdaha.

When Azhdaha grew to a hundred meters tall, they were forced into a desperate situation.

Just then—

Piper, one of the Sons of Calydon, drove a truck onto the battlefield, bringing Mr. Sam Li with her.

The moment Sam Li arrived, he struck down the hundred-meter-tall Azhdaha with a single punch.

The Chief of Public Security frowned, face stern. "Didn't you just say it was 50 meters tall?"

Seth explained, "Azhdaha grew incredibly fast—before we knew it, it had become a hundred-meter-tall rock beast..."

The Chief pressed further, "This Sam Li you mentioned—is he the one working at Hare's House? Are you certain he can knock down a hundred-meter-tall rock monster with one punch?"

Seth answered firmly, "I'm certain."

The Chief's expression turned serious. "Officer Zhu Yuan, Officer Seth, Officer Qingyi—this is an official work report. Please take it seriously."

The Chief trusted Zhu Yuan's team deeply.

But what Zhu Yuan and Seth were describing sounded far too exaggerated.

Zhu Yuan looked helpless: "..."

Qingyi remained silent: "..."

Seth continued, "Chief, I haven't finished yet."

He went on, giving a quick summary of the entire battle between Sam Li and Azhdaha.

For example, Sam Li wielding a 50-meter-long spear to suppress Azhdaha...

Or Azhdaha charging with such force that it nearly toppled an entire mountain...

Or Sam Li grabbing Azhdaha's tail and throwing him thousands of meters away...

The more Seth spoke, the more excited he became.

But he didn't notice that the Chief's expression had changed—from doubt and sternness to growing anger.

The team he trusted most was trying to fool him with such an implausible story.

"Enough. Zhu Yuan, Seth, Qingyi—stop making up stories full of holes. Write an accurate report immediately and send it to my office."

A hundred-meter-tall rock beast...

A mortal rivaling a god...

Even if you're going to make up a story, at least make it believable.

Seth protested, looking wronged. "Chief, everything I just said is true."

Zhu Yuan added seriously, "I guarantee that everything we reported just now is the truth."

The Chief's expression remained grim. "Where's the evidence? Where is this hundred-meter-tall rock giant? Zhu Yuan, you've truly disappointed me this time."

Hearing this, Seth lowered his head: "..."

Zhu Yuan bit her lip, wanting to speak but holding back. Only Qingyi remained composed.

At that moment, Qingyi sighed, brushed back her hair, and took out a small memory card from behind her head.

"Chief, if you don't believe us, perhaps you should watch this footage first before making any conclusions..."

Hearing this—

Seth exclaimed excitedly, "Senior Qingyi, you actually recorded it!"

Zhu Yuan was thrilled too. "As expected of Senior Qingyi."

Qingyi said calmly, "Since we had just gone through a battle, I can't guarantee the card isn't damaged. I hope it's still intact."

With that—

Qingyi stepped forward and inserted the small memory card into the nearby device.

Moments later—

The conference room's large screen lit up, displaying the battle between Sam Li and Azhdaha.

A tiny human versus a hundred-meter-tall rock giant...

They fought dozens of rounds, from dusk into the night...

Though the footage was somewhat blurry, what it captured was stunning—especially Sam Li's performance, exactly as Seth had described: a mortal fighting on par with a god.

Seth spoke excitedly, "Chief, you believe us now, right?"

Zhu Yuan added earnestly, "Chief, this footage is the best proof."

Qingyi said nothing.

As if it had nothing to do with her, she simply took out a tea set, sat down, and started drinking tea.

The Chief's expression changed completely—from doubt and anger to shock, his face full of astonishment.

The hundred-meter-tall rock giant was real...

And so was a mortal who could rival a god...

He could hardly imagine what kind of disaster would strike New Eridu if such a beast appeared in the city.

Would it flatten the entire district?

Destroy the last hope of human civilization?

The Chief of Public Security didn't know who—besides Sam Li—could stop such a terrifying rock beast, even more formidable than a high-ranking Ethereal.

It took him a long time to recover from the shock.

His expression turned extremely serious. "Zhu Yuan, Seth, Qingyi—my apologies. I shouldn't have doubted you."

Then—

He stared at the screen again. "Who else knows about this battle?"

Zhu Yuan answered, "Just us, Hare's House, the Sons of Calydon, the Bangboo Gang, and Jane.

Aside from those people, no one else knows."

The Chief immediately issued an order. "Seal this information. Don't let it spread."

After watching Qingyi's recording, the Chief of Public Security confirmed two things.

First—two extraordinarily powerful beings had appeared in New Eridu: one helping humanity, and one hostile to it...

Second—the appearance of Sam Li and Azhdaha had shattered human understanding, proving that humanity's knowledge of this world was still woefully inadequate...
