"Kill the ghost!!!"

Ayr gripped the Demon Slayer blade tightly, his stance embodying the ferocity of a battle-hardened god of war. A moment later, his foot slammed into the rocky ground of the Valley of the Gods, launching him like a comet streaking through the battlefield.

Like a meteor cutting across the heavens, he appeared before Zephyr in an instant.

"Shh!!!"

His blade, crackling with black lightning from Armament and Conqueror's Haki fusion, tore through the air like it could split space itself. The sheer pressure of the swing threatened to rend reality as it crashed down with a force reminiscent of Mihawk's legendary slashes.

Zephyr's eyes sharpened. He was no rookie—this was a man once considered as a potential Fleet Admiral. Without hesitation, he wrapped his arms in an extremely dense coating of advanced Armament Haki, the same kind that earned him the epithet Black Arm. He raised them above his head, meeting Ayr's strike head-on.

Clang!!!

The impact was deafening. Zephyr was hurled backward, his boots gouging a hundred-meter trench through the earth. A deep chasm followed his path, and debris exploded outward in a storm of shattered rock.

Nearby Marine elites—hardened warriors of justice—stared in horror.

"Zephyr Vice Admiral!!!"

"Damn it! This guy Ayr... he's a freak of nature! He even overpowered Zephyr!"

"Zephyr is one of the four strongest Vice Admirals in Marine history—on par with Garp, Sengoku, and Tsuru! Yet this monster... he's overpowering him like he's nothing!"

Ayr had already cemented his terrifying reputation in this war.

First, he invoked Tengai Shinsei, a jutsu-like ability granted by the Rinnegan fusion with his Fairy Eyes—summoning a meteor that obliterated over a dozen Marine warships in one move. Then, he'd deflected Zephyr's ambush punch with a single kick.

Now, in open battle, he was overwhelming the former Admiral candidate with raw power.

A hundred meters away, Zephyr stood slowly. He glanced at his arms, his brows furrowing. Despite his formidable Armament Haki defense, a deep gash marked his forearm—evidence of Ayr's monstrous might.

"It was just a fraction away from cutting through…" Zephyr thought grimly.

Suddenly—

"Don't get distracted in battle, Zephyr."

The cold voice echoed in front of him. Zephyr's eyes widened—Ayr was already there!

"Crap!!"

Zephyr raised his arms in haste.

"Shuh!!!"

Another devastating slash crashed into his guard. The force was so immense that it cratered the ground beneath him. His boots sank, ankles swallowed by the fractured terrain. Ayr's blade hummed with malice, wrapped in advanced Haki that cracked even the strongest defense.

"Shhhhhh!!!"

Strike after strike fell like a divine punishment. Ayr's precision was godlike—his swordsmanship rivaled that of Dracule Mihawk and Shanks. Zephyr's guard began to falter as small gashes formed along his arm.

"Zzzziiii!!!"

One slash finally broke through his Haki-layered skin. Blood splattered across the battlefield.

Zephyr gritted his teeth. He wasn't just going to take it. Timing a perfect opening, he launched a counterpunch—a full-force blow with enough power to topple a sea king. It connected with Ayr's chest, blasting him backward through a small hill.

But even as he landed, Ayr flipped mid-air and slid back, heels carving into the earth. He stood straight, body unshaken.

Zephyr glanced down. Dozens of cuts marred his arms. Blood seeped from some—his defense was cracking.

"Damn... he's stronger than I expected."

Zephyr's expression darkened. He had faced Whitebeard, fought with Garp, even trained future Admirals—but Ayr was something else. This was a man who had fused top-tier Armament Haki, peak-level physical strength granted by the Sage Body, and the swordsmanship of a Grandmaster into a single terrifying package.

"Your strength isn't enough, Zephyr," Ayr said calmly as he stepped forward. "The only thing you're better at is Armament Haki… but even that doesn't make up the gap."

He was right. Zephyr, despite his legendary status, relied mostly on brute force and Armament mastery. He lacked the flexibility of Observation Haki users and the explosive offensive force of Conqueror's Haki specialists.

Meanwhile, Ayr had everything.

He had the Sage Body, which granted chakra-infused regeneration and monstrous strength.

He had the Rinnegan-Fairy Eye, giving him techniques never before seen in this world.

And his Conqueror's Haki? It had reached the very summit of the world.

Still, Zephyr grinned, blood dripping from his arm.

"Not your opponent? Maybe not. But all I need to do is hold you here. The rest of the Rocks Pirates will be crushed when Roger and Wald arrive."

His voice held conviction. He knew his death was likely. But sacrifice for the greater good—this was justice.

"How long do you think you can hold me?" Ayr sneered, his eyes glowing faintly with Fairy Eye energy.

"Try me!!!"

Zephyr surged forward again, unleashing everything. He threw punches that shattered sound, kicks that made the ground quake. He wasn't aiming to win. He was aiming to stall.

And then—

"Vice Admiral Zephyr! We're here to assist!"

A full company of elite Marines arrived—each one at least Lieutenant Colonel rank or higher. Most had trained under Zephyr's own hand.

Ayr turned his gaze to the reinforcements.

"Just more ants."

The next instant, his aura exploded.

A shockwave of invisible power surged from his body, cracking the earth underfoot.

BOOOOOOM!!!

An overwhelming, spine-shattering presence erupted. It wasn't killing intent. It was sheer dominion.

This—was Top-tier Conqueror's Haki.

Months earlier, after attaining full mastery of the Sage Body, Ayr had received a divine ability enhancement—a promotion card that amplified his Haki to its highest potential.

And now, that Haki unleashed.

A blinding red aura burst from his body, laced with black lightning arcs. The ground fractured like glass. A pressure akin to the heavens collapsing descended on the battlefield.

"Wh-what is this…?!" one Marine choked.

"I... can't... breathe…!" another wheezed, dropping to his knees.

"Run… it's Conqueror's Haki—no, this is something even worse!"

In a flash, over a hundred Marines collapsed, eyes white, bodies twitching from the sheer pressure. Some foamed at the mouth. Their minds couldn't withstand the force pressing down on their souls.

Even some weaker Vice Admirals stumbled.

"Whoa!!!"

The Valley of the Gods quaked as if a titan had awakened. Ayr's Conqueror's Haki cracked the terrain for miles.

"Kakakaka!!!"

Giant fissures spiderwebbed through the mountainside. Even nearby trees were split at the trunk. Buildings buckled. The battlefield—transformed into a living hellscape.

Ayr stood at the center, unshaken.

"This... is what real power looks like," he said coldly.
