Chapter 46 - Planet Umbrae - Day 4 Part 5

Sil had teleported on the island's beach, it was a tropical one and reminded him a bit of where he was raised. Sil didn't exactly like islands for that reason, but there wasn't much he could do about it. Instead he walked around, using the dragon eyes' ability to detect where to go.

He pushed past the strange curly foliage that was a sickly yellow as he delved deeper into the island. The air was much cleaner here compared to everywhere else on the planet. It didn't take him long to find himself at the center, a clearing with a large structure furnished with gold and intricately detailed carvings. There weren't any walls, but instead had pillars that were sculpted to feature the planet's inhabitants holding the roof.

In the center of the structure, lay a being leisurely eating fruit as he laid down. He had his eyes closed, but smiled once Sil stepped up the staircase closer to the celestial. He had shimmering green to purple hue shift scales, long multicolored feathers on his head that flowed outwards and curled. He wore a patterned suit with no undershirt, revealing his toned body, with gold accents. His facial structure was clean, yet chiseled in a youthful way.

"So a filthy godslayer decided to show himself at my own temple of worship. Not just anyone could do that," The celestial nonchalantly spoke before switching his fruit for a jeweled chalice that sat on a table nearby, "However, I'm not just anyo—"

"UGHHHH!" Sil pinched the bridge of his nose as he groaned, "I've heard this spiel a thousand times already. Let me guess, you're going to go on about how I'm foolish to enter your presence, and if I told you that I fought a hundred celestials already, you'd respond by saying 'you haven't met me.' Can we just start fighting already? I'm kinda busy here."

The celestial did not look very pleased, "If you're so confident, then I might as well be. My name is Astor Mektck, or those whom I consider a threat could just call me Astor."

Sil began forming lightning around his hands, "Alright Astor, now if you'll—"

"Astor MEKTCK," The celestial asserted.

Sil groaned, "Fine! Astor Medic—"

"You're saying it wrong."

"Does that matter?"

"It's Mehk-TICK," Astor emphasized

Sil put away his lightning, "Like I said, I'm busy here—"

"I WON'T be disrespected like this!" Astor yelled before lifting his hands, causing several pillars of stone to shoot out around himself at Sil.

Sil put qi in his legs and jumped out of the way, landing on top of the rectangular stone. Summoning his soul weapon, he then had 20 clones created as they all opened up from their storage and picked out a demon tier weapon. Any more than 20 and that would be overkill.

Frustrated that he was going to put in more effort, Astor created a large pillar beneath himself the width of a small house, and had several smaller pillars poke outwards like a tree. The smaller pillars then started breaking apart at the tip, shooting rocks at the clones like a gun.

The clones began teleporting around, avoiding the hits. However, they had the electricity ability which was weak against earth.

A few managed to jump onto the smaller pillars, using qi in their legs to climb upwards. A clone managed to reach the top before the others, running at the celestial in a zig zag pattern holding a flail.

The clone flung the fail at the celestial. Astor spun and kicked it, however, as it made contact, the flail exploded. The celestial didn't look too damaged by the attack, but the clone didn't relent in using the weapon, throwing it again and again. The celestial taking steps back as he dodged the flail with a dance to his steps.

The clone spun his whole body utilizing the momentum for a stronger attack, but was blocked by a stone wall. The clone realized his mistake too late as the weapon exploded on his side, pushing him back. The clone barely managed to hang onto the ledge of the pillar, but thankfully it was enough of a distraction for the other clones to catch up.

Sil then teleported behind a stone and swapped out electricity with an ability he got about 500 years ago.

"Alright, Peach, let's see how yours works…" Sil muttered before placing his hands on the ground creating a faint and deep rumbling.

Sil sent out a command to his clones, indicating to change tactics. Then the clones teleported frequently around the celestial, slashing their swords, stabbing with their spears, throwing punches with gaunlets, and more, using a frenzy attack, but somehow Astor was able to dodge most of their hits.

"Hahaha!" Astor yelled out, "I wouldn't have gotten so rich if I wasn't able to predict my enemy's next move!"

That was when a Sil clone managed to hit Astor in the chest with a flail, his eyes were gray.

"Neat trick, I can do the same thing but better," The clone said.

One of the abilities Sil had copied was to see into the future. Whenever he used foresight, his eyes would turn grey.

"W-what?!" the celestial gasped.

Not all of the clones had foresight, but that didn't matter. Another clone jumped on top of the celestial, lava forming around his hands as he scorched the god's arms. Then a different clone with the same ability ran to the celestial's legs, embedding them in lava that quickly cooled down.

"ENOUGH!" Astor screamed, flinging his arms out to create several thin yet very sharp pillars that pierced into the clones, causing a few to disappear. A few fell off as they teleported back onto the ground to land.

"I did not have to create an economy from scratch— make everything cost something— and find so many ways to continue my growth— just to be annoyed by a pest!"

That was when the ground shook, and Astor's eyes widened as the pillar he stood on broke apart. Vines the size of trees surrounded Astor. They wrapped around his body, causing him to fall. It squeezed him, pressing against his insides, the pressure unbearable, then—

Splatter.

Nothing but shimmering white sparkling dust remained.

"One less for the future…" Sil whispered as he teleported to where Astor died.

Nothing was indeed there, and he knew that he'd done his job.

'Now, for the rubonic transformer itself—' Sil thought, before it was interrupted by a black sword pointed at his face.

His eyes followed who held the sword, finding out it belonged to a dark brown haired woman. Her face held many scars from years of battle, a fierce dark look in her eyes, and she had dark purple horns that shot up from her head.

"Layla?!" Sill exclaimed, to no reaction from the woman.
