Lirien was suspicious.
Luna could tell. There was a certain sharpness in his gaze, a wariness in his steps. Suspicious—too much so, even for an Omega, who were often seen as fragile and harmless. But Luna understood the reason behind it.
'He's using the fact that I'm shy and naive to his advantage… something an Alpha normally wouldn't be able to do.'
That wasn't the part that unsettled Luna. What truly bothered her was the question circling her mind:
'Why is he using this moment to visit Ravhiel?'
She knew Ravhiel was well-liked among the Omegas and even the 'thralls,' but something about Lirien's timing felt off. Too convenient. Too calculated.
'What is he planning?'
They walked in silence down the well-worn path toward what Lirien referred to as Ravhiel's "greenery." Luna's eyes drifted around the area—and immediately, unease crept into her chest.
It was… quiet.
