Chapter 75 - Blood Demon

I fought with Emperor Ba from the sky to the ground and back again, both of us gradually getting injured. Though my wounds were worse, I held on with sheer determination. "Kid, you're worthy of being her man, but you're still a bit short of being the Chosen One. You alone can't stop the war between humans and demons," Emperor Ba said, looking at me. "Even so, I won't give up hope. I'm not here to fight to the death today; I just want to convince you to stop the war with my strength," I replied, wiping the blood from my mouth.

On the ground, Kaia and the others watched the battle above intently. "If only I could be as strong as them..." Kaia muttered to himself. "Their level is beyond what we can easily reach. The Demon King's power exceeds everyone's expectations. That young man is our only hope," Judo said. Kaia fell silent, but suddenly a mysterious voice echoed in his mind: "(Do you want power?)" "Who are you?!" Kaia exclaimed, startled. "What's wrong?" Emily asked, noticing him talking to himself. "There's a voice echoing in my head," Kaia said. "You're probably hallucinating," Emily replied, puzzled. "Maybe," Kaia said, brushing it off.

In the sky, I unleashed my ultimate move against Emperor Ba's, our energy waves clashing in a massive explosion. "I won't lose!" I shouted, struggling to push my energy wave forward. "This is your limit!" Emperor Ba roared, pouring all his strength into his attack. His energy wave slowly gained ground, inching toward me. I resisted with all my might, but the gap in our power was too great. I was blasted back, flying hundreds of meters before crashing into the ground, my clothes tattered and my body wracked with pain. Emperor Ba descended slowly. "It's over," he said, preparing to deliver the final blow. I struggled to my feet, using my sword as a crutch. "It's not that easy to end this," I said defiantly. "What do you think you can do now? You can't beat me," Emperor Ba sneered. "You can't beat me either. I won't give up!" I shot back. "Then don't blame me for being ruthless. Demon Soul Shatterer!" Emperor Ba formed a dark, pulsating energy ball in his palm, far stronger than any previous attack, capable of obliterating a human's soul. "This is your last chance, kid. Surrender," he warned. "I'll never surrender! Not until the war ends!" I stood my ground, locking eyes with him. After a long standoff, Emperor Ba slowly lowered his hand, the energy ball dissipating. "Hmph, for Enis's sake, I'll spare you. Get lost," he said, turning away. "Does this mean... you agree to end the war?" I asked. "Don't get cocky, kid. I didn't promise anything," Emperor Ba replied dismissively.

"Boring," a voice suddenly echoed around us. In an instant, a dark figure flashed forward, piercing Emperor Ba from behind. "What?!" Emperor Ba spat blood, turning to see his attacker—Kaia, his eyes glowing red with an evil smirk. "I thought you'd fight to a mutual defeat. What a disappointment," the figure said, pulling out the sword. Emperor Ba collapsed to his knees. "This aura... could it be you?!" he gasped. The Kaia before us was no longer himself, now controlled by an unknown malevolent force, wielding not a holy sword but a demonic one. "Who are you?!" I shouted, raising my sword toward him. "Chosen One? What a joke. I'll take you both down. The demon world, the human world—they'll all belong to me!" the mysterious figure declared arrogantly. "Kaia?! Why does he seem like a different person?" Emily said, shocked. "That's not Kaia. Something's controlling his body," Judo said, realizing the gravity of the situation. "Blood Demon, you're still alive," Emperor Ba said, clutching his wound. Enis flew over. "Is he... my father's old comrade, Blood Demon Bulicharm?" she asked. "You're right, little lady. Your father exiled me from the demon world after our disagreement. For thousands of years, I suffered in the human world, plotting to pit the hero against you all. But that damned kid ruined my plan," the Blood Demon said, glaring at me. "Give Kaia back!" Emily shouted, charging at him. "It's been millennia since I found a body this perfect. Get lost!" the Blood Demon retorted, unleashing a Blood Flame Wave that sent Emily flying, knocked unconscious with a scream. "Emily! You bastard!" Judo rushed forward to attack. "No matter how many come, they all die," the Blood Demon said, teleporting in front of Judo and piercing his abdomen with a single strike. Judo coughed up blood and collapsed. "Anyone else want to try?" the Blood Demon taunted, licking the blood from his hand. Enis healed Emperor Ba's wound. "Thanks," Emperor Ba said, gripping his sword, ready to settle the score with the Blood Demon.
