"But every time you use the Mangekyō's power, your vision will deteriorate... until you eventually go blind."
Hearing this, Sasuke's heart sank.
But the thought of mastering such power, of avenging Itachi, stirred excitement deep within him.
"Will I be able to use those abilities too?" he asked earnestly.
Like a patient elder, Gakuya nodded.
"Of course. But remember—each Mangekyō awakens different abilities, unique to the user's heart.The Sharingan is known as the 'Eye that Reflects the Heart.' Your powers will be shaped by your deepest emotions."
"But don't place all your hopes on it. And don't grow dependent on the Sharingan."
To prove his point, Gakuya formed a quick hand seal and created a shadow clone.
The clone activated its Sharingan and summoned the most basic form of Susanoo—a skeletal frame.
Under Sasuke's watchful gaze, Gakuya's real body casually reached out and crushed the Susanoo skeleton with one hand before dispelling the clone.
"Remember," Gakuya warned,
"True strength comes from yourself. The Mangekyō doesn't mean you can abandon the development of your ninjutsu."
"Itachi's Susanoo was able to withstand your Lightning Release: Judgment from the Heavens because he wielded the power of sacred treasures. You mustn't slack on improving your own jutsu."
Sasuke nodded solemnly, full of respect.
"I understand."
Seeing Sasuke's serious attitude, Gakuya finally smiled again.
"The two sacred treasures have already been retrieved. They're being repaired and reinforced. Once that's done, they'll be yours."
Sasuke felt a surge of emotion and bowed deeply.

Then, Gakuya's voice reached his ears.

At the brink of collapse, with his mind blurred and spirit drifting, memories flooded Sasuke's heart.
He thought of his brother, Uchiha Itachi.
Of his father, Uchiha Fugaku.
Of his mother, Uchiha Mikoto.
He saw them... together, smiling warmly.

Sasuke clung to that wish with all his might, merging it into his very soul.

Slowly, he opened his eyes.
In his right eye gleamed a strange, powerful light—something new, something overwhelming.

It was neither Amaterasu nor Kagutsuchi.
Just as Gakuya had expected, Sasuke had awakened a dojutsu completely different from the original canon— shaped by Gakuya's intervention, and by Sasuke's own evolving soul.
