Zane's POV ~
What the heck is wrong with me? I thought as Simon continued to check my vitals.
Sweat drenched me. My clothes clung uncomfortably to my body, and the bedsheets beneath me were already damp. Every inch of me throbbed, pulsing with a desperate, overwhelming heat I couldn't understand or control.
The ache sharpened. It wasn't just a physical pain anymore. It was need. Raw, animalistic, crawling under my skin and twisting low in my belly. I felt dizzy, lightheaded, my body trembling with every shallow, shaky breath I managed to take.
I bit down on my bottom lip, trying and failing to suppress the whimper rising in my throat. My thighs trembled uncontrollably. Even the slightest movement sent electric sparks surging through me. The friction of the sheets brushing against my overly sensitive skin made me groan softly, involuntarily.
Is this my heat? Is this what heat feels like?
No… I can't be in heat.
