Noel got to the infirmary and lay Riven on the bed. Ariel walked beside him. She looked at the damage on his body and frowned.
"He has suffered several heavy injuries. We'll have to take him somewhere secure before the demonized get here," she said.
"No—cough—just patch me up," Riven said.
"What are you saying, kid? You'll die if I don't treat you quick," she responded.
"No, please, patch me up. I know where they are headed, and I need to stop them," Riven said.
"That's sadly not something I can worry about now. Your health is priority," Ariel said. Riven grabbed her hand and looked her right in the eye.
"Please, we don't have time. Help me fight, please," he said. Ariel looked at him. She could see the genuine desire in his eyes to go back out there.
