Chapter 43

Precht Gaebolg Pov
I hated Life but I detested Death even more. Nothing ever went right for me until I met her anyways but even that changed when she never woke up.
And it became worse when I created an Anomaly. Something that should not exist. Eternal Magic.
But it was now not my problem. I left it to Makarov to deal with. I was traversing the world in search of Magic and people suitable to use it.
I was slowly being corrupted by my own thoughts. By my own greed. It was inevitable.
...It was a matter of time.
I am who I am.
.
..
It was a good day until I felt a familiar presence. The presence of my own creation. The mark of Fairy Tail.
And when I got closer, I saw the rather familiar face. A face I often saw in newspaper and such.
"Red-haired" Shanks.
That's what they called him.
The son of Gildarts.
And I could see the resemblance not just in appearance but in sheer strength as well.
A smile formed on my face.
'Fairy Tail was surely going to become stronger.'
I was flying so I floated higher. I erased my presence. It was a technique I had learned in my days as a hunter.
It was very useful.
And so, I floated closer till I was above me and just then-
He looked up.
He looked up with calmness that I did not expect from his age.
"Precht Gaebolg...?"
I smiled.

Third Person Pov
The sky was blue. The sun was not visible, but clouds formed various shapes and sizes. And amidst the beautiful sky Precht Gaebolg flew.
And Shanks stared. He stood calm on the boat sailing on the ocean.
"You seem to know me."
The older man spoke as he slowly descended down onto the boat.
"OfCourse. You are after all our Second Guild Master." Shanks replied calmly.
"Hahaha." Precht laughed and continued. "It is to be expected."
Shanks nodded.
"So, what are you doing here?"
"Oh, I was interested since I heard this project involves Zeref." Precht replied casually.
Shanks narrowed his eyes and grabbed the hilt of his saber strapped on his hip.
Precht smiled broadly and raised his arms.
"Oops!"
Shanks relaxed a bit.
"I did not take you as someone who likes to joke." Shanks said with a relaxed smile.
"Who said I was joking?"
And so, it began.

Erza Pov
I missed the bright sun. I missed the endless sky. I miss the beautiful soil we used to play on. I miss the trees. The birds. The animals. The smell.
I miss outside.
It was a beautiful day until it wasn't. I remember clearly. The destruction of our village. The place I-no, we grew up.
Everything turned to hell from there on.
We were continuously forced to work here until some of us decided to revolt but it failed and as a consequence I lost my right eye.
And once again I am losing someone dear.
Another revolt. Mages appeared and before I knew it a blast was approaching me.
"This is it."
I am sorry.
.
But it seems God had other plans. A huge wave of power engulfed everything, and I felt my will crumbling and before I lost consciousness, I saw a boy with red hair.
