Right from the moment I opened my eyes in the early hours of this morning, I suspected today was going to be one hell of a crazy day. All three babies were crying, there was a throbbing pain in my head, and worst of all Leonard was nowhere to be found.
They had crawled out of their crib while I slept, and were now sitting on the floor with tears on their cheeks.
I dragged in a long, tired and frustrated breath, and got out of bed, ignoring the throbbing in my head which had managed to increase as I moved. The day wasn't as young as I thought, from the window sill I could see how bright the day was.
I brought all three babies to the bed, and tried to pacify them but they wouldn't stop crying, including Lennox who was supposed to be the gentle one among them. The thought that Margaret was on leave made Leonard's unannounced departure even more annoying. He didn't go to the office, that I was sure. His resumption to the office wasn't due until next week.
