Chapter 65 - Chapter 65 Demons part 2

Emperor Hiro, his face etched with determination, issued his commands with unwavering authority. "Butler," he called out, his voice sharp and clear, "prepare my armor. And have my Wyvern saddled and ready."

The palace staff sprang into action, their movements precise and efficient. Hiro's personal armor, a masterpiece of craftsmanship, was carefully brought forth, each piece gleaming with polished metal. He donned the armor, the familiar weight settling upon him, a reminder of his role as both emperor and warrior.

He then made his way to the royal stables, where his magnificent Wyvern awaited him. The creature, its scales shimmering in the sunlight, lowered its head in acknowledgment of its rider. Hiro mounted the Wyvern, his posture regal and commanding.

Before departing, he sought out Empress Mie. He found her in their bedchamber, her expression a mixture of concern and unwavering support. "Mie," he said, his voice gentle, "I must go. Tatsuo faces a demonic horde. I cannot stay here while he faces such a threat."

Empress Mie, her eyes filled with understanding, nodded. "Go to him, Hiro," she said, her voice soft but firm. "He needs you. And I know you need to be there."

Hiro smiled, his heart swelling with gratitude. "Thank you, Mie," he said. He leaned in and kissed her, a tender moment amidst the chaos. "I will return," he promised.

He then joined the Wyvern Battalion, a force of 500 knights mounted on their own majestic Wyverns. The air crackled with anticipation, the knights eager to defend their empire and their prince.

With a final nod to his Empress, Emperor Hiro gave the signal. The Wyvern Battalion launched into the sky, their powerful wings beating in unison, creating a thunderous roar. Emperor Hiro, leading the charge, soared through the air, his Wyvern a blur of motion.

As they flew towards Dragonsden County, Hiro's thoughts were consumed by his son. He was proud of Tatsuo, of his strength, his leadership, and his unwavering determination. But he was also worried. Demonic hordes were not to be taken lightly.

He knew that the coming battle would be a test of their combined strength, a trial by fire that would forge them into an even stronger force. He was determined to be there, to fight alongside his son, and to protect his empire from the looming darkness.

One and a half weeks passed, each day a tense countdown to the inevitable confrontation. Tatsuo, his nights haunted by visions of demonic hordes, found himself in a state of perpetual readiness. He patrolled the walls of Dragonsden City, his gaze fixed on the horizon, his mind strategizing and anticipating every possible scenario. Sleep became a luxury, his body fueled by adrenaline and a burning determination to protect his domain.

One afternoon, as the sun began its descent, casting long shadows across the city, Reeldos Umbra burst into Tatsuo's office, his face etched with urgency. "Your Highness!" he exclaimed, his voice strained. "They're moving! The demonic forces are on the move!"

Tatsuo stood, his heart pounding in his chest. "The time has come," he murmured, a surge of adrenaline coursing through him.

He turned to his armor, a suit of black metal, each piece meticulously crafted and engraved with his personal sigil: the black dragon spreading its wings, a symbol of his power and authority. He donned the armor, the familiar weight settling upon him, grounding him, preparing him for the battle ahead.

As he prepared, Ahtris entered the room, her expression filled with worry. "Tatsuo," she said, her voice soft, "please be careful."

Tatsuo turned to her, his eyes filled with warmth and reassurance. "I will be," he said, his voice gentle. He approached her, placing a hand on her growing belly. "I will return to you and our child."

He kissed her, a tender moment amidst the chaos. Then, with a final nod, he turned and left the room, his armor gleaming in the fading light.

As he emerged from the city gates, a sight of awe-inspiring power greeted him.

First, a formation of Wyvern Knights filled the sky. They were led by Emperor Hiro himself, his majestic Wyvern at the forefront, his aura radiating a late Celestial Realm cultivation level, a testament to his immense power.

Tatsuo watched his father land, and approach him.

Emperor Hiro, dismounting his Wyvern, greeted Tatsuo with a warm smile. "Tatsuo," he said, his voice filled with pride, "I have come to aid my son."

Tatsuo, surprised but grateful, bowed slightly. "Father," he said, "your presence is a great honor."

Hiro's gaze then swept over Tatsuo's forces, his eyes widening in surprise. He saw a diverse and formidable army, a mixture of humans, elves, and surprisingly, Hobgoblins. He wanted to ask Tatsuo about this, but decided to wait.

Just then, a platoon of Wyvern Knights arrived, their Wyverns soaring through the air with practiced ease. King Kazan Ryujin, mounted on his own magnificent Wyvern, landed beside the Emperor, his presence radiating an aura of power.

"Tatsuo," he boomed, his voice filled with jovial warmth, "I wouldn't miss this for the world!"

Tatsuo, his surprise growing, greeted his uncle with a respectful nod. "Uncle Kazan," he said, "your support is greatly appreciated."

A tremor shook the ground, and from the southwestern horizon, a thunderous roar echoed. Grand Duke Shouwie Shun arrived, mounted on his Tall Lion Warbeast, a creature of immense size and power. Behind him, a force of 2,000 Lion Cavalry and 3,000 Lion Guard marched in perfect formation, their presence a testament to the Grand Duke's military might.

"Tatsuo," Shouwie Shun boomed, his voice filled with pride, "I have come to fight alongside my nephew!"

Tatsuo, overwhelmed by the arrival of such powerful allies, felt a surge of gratitude. "Father, Uncle, Grand Duke Shouwie," he said, his voice filled with emotion, "your support is invaluable."

Finally, from the southeastern horizon, a force of 5,000 soldiers marched towards them, their banners displaying the emblem of the Yōgan Domain. Leading them was Divine General Kabayashi Tsuru, her presence radiating an aura of immense power and unwavering resolve.

"Tatsuo," Tsuru said, her voice sharp and commanding, "I have brought my forces. We will crush these demons."

Tatsuo's heart swelled with pride. He was surrounded by a powerful army, a force capable of facing any demonic threat. But the support didn't stop there.

From the city, a contingent of 1,000 Holy Knights, their armor gleaming with divine symbols, marched towards the battlefield, led by Archbishop Ignatius of Dragonsden County. Alongside them, 100 priests, their faces filled with unwavering faith, prepared to offer their healing magic.

Archbishop Ignatius approached Tatsuo, his expression resolute. "Your Highness," he said, his voice filled with determination, "the Church is ready to stand with you against this evil."

Tatsuo surveyed the assembled forces, his heart filled with a profound sense of gratitude. He was no longer alone. He had the support of his family, his allies, and his people. He was ready to face the demonic horde, and he was confident that they would prevail.
