Luis naturally preferred to be the one driving since they became a couple.

The car immediately sped off, even though he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Alice wasn't either. She simply leaned back in her seat as if she wanted to lie down.

He wasn't just curious — he really wanted to know.

It appeared above her palm — something that resembled a turtle shell, except it was bright gold and faintly glowing.
It was only slightly larger than the palm of her hand.
