Everything was frozen.
The sky was silent, faces were stunned, and the earth waited for a decision.
Then suddenly
A whistle!
Something pierced through the air, fast, from above, from one of the rooftops...
A long arrow with a dark gleam, heading straight toward the First Prince's head!
The Third Princess gasped:
"Brother!!"
But Alpha moved before anyone else.
In the blink of an eye, he raised his hand and caught the arrow in midair with his fingertips, as if pulling a string.
Before anyone could comprehend what had happened,
A second arrow was released.
Faster. Sharper. Deadlier.
It wasn't aimed at Alpha.
But at the Prince's chest.
The arrow pierced through the body.
A sound of ripping flesh. A choking gasp. And the light in his eyes vanished.
The prince collapsed to his knees, then forward.
His face struck the ground, and the arrow remained lodged in his heart.
The Third Princess's scream shattered the silence:
"Nooooo!!"
