Chapter 81 - Chapter 81: Nothing!

"Shinra Tensei."

Another repulsive storm scattered Five Elements ninjutsu from all directions.

As if sensing something, Izayoi shifted his gaze from the Kurosuki clan puppets battling Root squads, glancing at the shadowed left.

A figure in a black robe, mask covering the upper face, burst from the dark, charging Izayoi at blinding speed.

"Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld."

As if signaled, Root members halted their barrage. One cast Earth Release, turning the ground beneath Izayoi into a swamp.

Mud hands rose, aiming to seize his legs and drag him under.

This tactic wasn't new.

As expected, Izayoi, seconds past his last repulsion, floated upward, evading the mud, hovering midair with arms spread. "Shinra Tensei."

Invisible force shattered the mud hands and repelled the charging Torune Aburame.

But as the storm hit Torune, his body dissolved into countless black bugs, blasted away.

The Aburame clan's secret Bug Clone Technique.

The storm had barely spread meters, still lingering, when Fu Yamanaka emerged from the churning swamp, rushing Izayoi, body ablaze with flames—covered in explosive tags.

"They found Shinra Tensei's weakness? Makes sense. After so many rounds and elite foes, they'd be incompetent not to notice."

Watching Fu charge with suicidal intent, Izayoi chuckled softly. "Let's see what tricks you're playing."

He unleashed another invisible storm.

Its power paled compared to the prior one.

No ninjutsu was perfect—not even kekkei tōta or divine techniques.

Izayoi's repulsion and attraction surpassed Pain's Deva Path only in cooldown.

Nagato needed Yin-Yang Release black rods to channel chakra for Deva Path's Shinra Tensei.

The weakest Shinra Tensei required five seconds to convert chakra into repulsion.

Thus, Deva Path faced a five-second cooldown after Shinra Tensei or Banshō Ten'in.

Nagato's own cooldown, if casting directly, might be shorter—or not.

Izayoi didn't know Nagato's exact timing, but his was two seconds.

To cast a Deva Path-level Shinra Tensei, he needed two seconds to convert chakra into a storm.

Without charging, his repulsion was merely strong wind with rebound properties.

Thanks to his Chakra Control (Gold) trait, he could instantly muster significant chakra.

Even as mere wind, it was rule-based, unstoppable without serious power.

Fu clearly lacked that strength.

The storm, like an unseen chariot, slammed Fu mid-leap, hurling him to the ground.

Boom—

Before landing, Fu became a human bomb, exploding like fireworks.

Izayoi descended slowly, instant-casting Shinra Tensei. The wind dispersed the nascent mushroom cloud.

Glancing at Fu's corpse, he saw no limbs or flesh in the explosive tag's crater—only a material puppet.

That Fu was a fake.

Izayoi's expression didn't shift, having seen through it.

As the wind faded, Danzo Shimura appeared instantly, fingers stabbing at Izayoi's left eye. Mimicking Deva Path's demeanor, Izayoi said coldly, "Finally showing yourself, Danzo Shimura? Today is your end."

Danzo's fingers froze centimeters from Izayoi's eye.

Staring at the face studded with black rods, Danzo's expression flickered. "No, the Rinnegan kid from back then wasn't you! So, the red-haired brat died, and you took your comrade's eyes…"

"Hanzo spilled everything. He left this world before you. Amegakure is now Akatsuki's domain." Izayoi delivered his grand gift to Akatsuki.

With a glare, a mighty storm blasted Danzo back.

Danzo, flung ruthlessly, smirked eerily.

His body vanished like a mirage.

Then he reappeared, fingers blurring toward Izayoi's left eye.

Izanagi!

A close-range reset, restarting on failure.

Those ignorant of Izanagi would be caught off guard.

Even "Instant Shisui" Uchiha fell to Danzo's trick.

Having tasted success then, Danzo tried again.

From being blasted to reappearing, less than a second passed.

Izayoi, fresh off a storm, couldn't even instant-cast!

Danzo's eyes gleamed with greed for the Sage of the Six Paths' eyes.

But Izayoi was faster.

His Tenseigan had spotted the anomaly. He swiftly grabbed Danzo's wrist, facing his shocked expression. "Finding Shinra Tensei's flaws and crafting a counter—impressive. But strength is your downfall. The gap between us is vast!"

"Farewell, Danzo Shimura…"

"Kotoamatsukami!"

Facing Izayoi's impending strike, Danzo, fearless in Izanagi's embrace, unleashed his trump card.

His right eye's three-tomoe Sharingan spun wildly, merging into a black shuriken pattern.

As Danzo glared, years-nurtured Mangekyō power, amplified by Hashirama's cells, flooded Izayoi's mind.

Their minds entered a blood-red space akin to Tsukuyomi's realm.

A moon-sized eyeball hung above, its pupil a black shuriken.

The eye, alive, scanned below, seeking a target to crush or reshape.

Soon, a figure appeared.

But it wasn't Izayoi as Deva Path or himself—it was… Danzo.

"Why am I here? Did Kotoamatsukami fail? Impossible!"

Danzo, moments ago a godlike observer, materialized, utterly confused.

Wasn't the Mangekyō's technique supposed to drag enemies into this space, crushing or rewriting their will to make them puppets?

This wasn't right!

His confidence shattered.

Scanning around, he found no trace of Izayoi.

Nor could he return to Kotoamatsukami's eye.

As Danzo, heartbroken, formed seals to dispel it, his face twisted. "Why can't I cancel it? Isn't this Kotoamatsukami's space? Unless…"

Swish—

As if answering, the blood-red sky split with two long cracks.

The fissures parted, blue-white light bursting forth.

Like sunlight, it transformed the oppressive red space into a serene blue-white realm.

At their widest, a pair of blue-white eyes hovered above.

White streams swirled around the pupils, forming a floral pattern, swaying like windblown petals—sublime, brimming with supreme dojutsu power.

If Kotoamatsukami's eye was moon-sized, these were twin suns, gazing down on it and Danzo.

No longer Deva Path's tone, a youthful voice echoed.

"Your dojutsu… before these eyes, it's nothing!"

The sublime eyes blazed like noon suns, drowning the space in white light.

Kotoamatsukami's eye touched the light and crumbled to dust, silent.

"This isn't the Rinnegan! You're not that kid! Who are you?!" Danzo, even as a mental construct, smelled death. "I've never heard your voice! Who sent you? If we've no grudge, spare me, and I'll—"

His plea cut off as the light engulfed him, reducing him to dust like Kotoamatsukami.

The entire space became void.

Time stretched in the genjutsu, but reality passed in an instant.

To Root members, Danzo's wrist was still gripped, his right eye—shuriken-patterned Mangekyō—glaring.

But sharp-eyed and sensory ninja paled.

Danzo's Mangekyō reverted to three tomoe.

Its luster and brain's Yin Release chakra vanished.

Izanagi dispelled, the arm's Sharingan closed.

Without Sharingan's suppression, the Hashirama-cell arm writhed, something burrowing within, unable to break free, surging to ravage Danzo's body.

Rip—

Izayoi tore the arm off.

Danzo didn't scream.

Not dead, but the Shadow Hokage was a half-dead husk.

Looking at Danzo's lifeless eyes, Izayoi mused, "Strongest genjutsu? It lives up to its name…"

Only he knew what transpired.

Unlike Fu's Yin Release, repelled by Ōtsutsuki resistance and ultimate dojutsu, Danzo's Kotoamatsukami breached that defense—then met disaster.

Its power clashed with the Tenseigan's gestating second-stage All-Encompassing Power.

Izayoi's Tenseigan wasn't fully evolved, limiting its might.

Yet it remained an ultimate dojutsu.

Its rank and power dwarfed the Mangekyō.

Danzo couldn't crush or rewrite Izayoi's will. Instead, the Tenseigan's power obliterated his mind and will in Kotoamatsukami's space.

Even Izanagi couldn't rewrite this reality.

A suppression of rank—a dimensional strike.

"It's over."

After felling Root's leader, Izayoi glanced at a shadowed spot, then at the stunned Root members. "Time to end this."

Figures appeared around him—Kurosuki clan human puppets, wielding Izayoi's Five Elements ninjutsu, far stronger than in life.

Switching from defense, Izayoi used Banshō Ten'in and Shinra Tensei to support the puppets.

Watching them fight, ninjutsu scattered by repulsion, enemies drawn by attraction, Izayoi's lips curled.

After observing, he'd cracked why regular puppets didn't boost drop rates, but human puppets did.

They weren't truly his techniques.

Shadow clones, even with minimal chakra, didn't boost rates—they were his ninjutsu.

Infinite puppets were his technique too.

Human puppets had a unique quality.

That quality stemmed from corpses and hearts.

To use pre-death kekkei genkai, both were essential, the heart pristine.

Only then could chakra in the core, via heart and meridians, convert to kekkei genkai or former abilities.

In gaming terms, this mechanism was… a pseudo-team system.
