Chapter 3 - THE DREAM WORLD

A mirror cannot sustain its own beauty. For when it tries to hold its reflection too tightly… it shatters.

From its ruin are born many smaller mirrors —each one bearing a fragment of the original light, yet none able to comprehend the brilliance of the others.

And so ended the age of the Great Queen, sovereign of unity. Her dominion, once whole and radiant, was split by catastrophe —a sundering remembered only in dreams.

What remained was a world of broken wonders, fractured into fourteen nations —seven greater, and seven lesser.

From these pieces rose a new order:The seven lesser nations, small in size but vast in spirit, formed two alliances —one of three, one of four —each carving out their place in the shifting balance of power.

The Seven Great Nations and the Two Grand Alliancesnow form the axis of the Dream World's power —known across all lands as:

The Nine Ruling GemsEach Gem is not merely a kingdom, but a force,a spirit embodied in geography, people, and history.

Ardovale — The Red Gem of PassionA land where the sky burns crimson at dusk and the rivers flow like molten fire through valleys of iron and stone. Ardovale is a nation of intensity, where every emotion is worn openly, and every belief is held like a blade. Its people speak with conviction, fight with heart, and create with a brilliance that borders madness. Passion is not a choice here — it is law, lifeblood, and legacy.

Solvyr — The Yellow Gem of JoyA golden realm of sun-kissed meadows, music-laced winds, and eternal spring. Solvyr is a place where laughter is a sacred rite, and joy is cultivated like wheat. Even in sorrow, its people find rhythm; even in silence, they dance. To live here is to awaken each day with light in your chest and song on your tongue.

Rōwhenua — The Green Gem of PeaceCradled in misted mountains and ancient forests, Rōwhenua is a sanctuary of harmony, where even the wind whispers gently through the trees. Time slows within its borders. Its temples are grown, not built; its warriors are gardeners who understand both life and death. Peace here is not weakness — it is discipline, wisdom, and strength drawn from stillness.

Virelya — The Blue Gem of TrustA vast and solemn kingdom of lakes, glaciers, and towering skies. In Virelya, bonds are forged in silence and tested by storm. Its people are calm, deliberate, and unshakable. Promises here are sacred, and a word once given is stronger than steel. It is a land where trust is currency, and honor is colder and clearer than ice.

Yarraborne — The Purple Gem of PrideA realm of ancient stones, blazing deserts, and stories etched into the bones of the earth. Yarraborne is proud not of conquest, but of survival — of walking the land as its equal, not its master. Its people laugh loud and fight louder, but behind their fire lies heritage older than any crown. Pride here is not arrogance — it is memory.

Tejorasya — The Orange Gem of EnthusiasmA blazing, vivid land where devotion and energy flow like fire through every street and mountain. Tejorasya never rests; its cities beat like hearts, its festivals are storms of color. The people here worship with dance, speak in waves of motion, and act before the world can tell them no. Enthusiasm here is more than excitement — it is divine force.

Xuánlìng — The Black Gem of PowerA kingdom draped in mystery and clouded in ancient smoke. The mountains of Xuánlìng hold temples older than time and secrets deeper than language. Its rulers are scholars and sorcerers, its soldiers silent and absolute. Power here is not declared — it is felt. In Xuánlìng, the unknown does not frighten. It obeys.

Shirotama — The White Gem of PurityAn alliance of secluded islands bound not by size but by spirit. Shirotama is a place of ritual, simplicity, and sacred balance. Its people live in rhythm with tide and moon, guarding traditions like precious stones. To be pure here is not to be untainted — it is to remain true. Theirs is a love of clarity, breath, and quiet resilience.

Amarayah — The Pink Gem of LoveA confederation of sun-warmed isles, where song carries across the sea and stories are passed in hands and hearts. Amarayah is a place where freedom is sacred and closeness is strength. Its people sing when they mourn, laugh when they fight, and hold one another like lifelines. Love here is not softness — it is survival. It is strength that wraps itself in joy.

But unity is a dream the Dream World remembers only in fragments.

Though the Nine Gems shine as pillars of the realm, they do not shine together.

Time has carved an ancient line — a fracture of belief, tradition, and vision. From it emerged two great banners, two opposing refrains echoing across history:

The Old Rule, a pact of shared memory and elemental clarity, binds together:

Ardovale, the flame of Passion

Virelya, the calm of Trust

Solvyr, the light of Joy

Rōwhenua, the stillness of Peace

Tejorasya, the firestorm of Enthusiasm

Five Gems, ancient in power and loyal to the old harmonies —they believe in the original dream, in order shaped through balance.

Against them rises The New Refrain, a newer, more fluid accord of shifting ideals:

Shirotama, purity in silence

Xuánlìng, power drawn from mystery

Yarraborne, the deep-rooted pride of legacy

Amarayah, love as rebellion and song

These four Gems challenge the old balance —not to destroy it, but to reshape it.They claim the world has outgrown its past, and that only through transformation can the dream survive.

Thus the Dream World stands divided —Nine Gems, Nine powers, Nine truths —but only one future, yet to be written.
