Chapter 3 - Now here we are

'I am calm. I am at peace. Saiyans can hold their breath for hours; by then, Everything will be ok.'

Trunks forced himself to stay calm with the chant, to figure out where he was, but also to understand why he couldn't move. He could feel his entire body, but his body remained frozen from the neck down.

'Ok. The last thing I did before coming here was set my coordinates for the Earth... Then I should be home? There was a girl!'

'The house I arrived at must have been beside a river — or maybe the basement had been flooded.'

To be honest, it was all a jumbled mess in his head, likely due to an entire house falling on him, but he knew that he should be home due to the ring focusing on his intent, and there was a girl he saved right before he got knocked out.

'Maybe she's still around. '

With his eyes already closed, Trunks aligned himself with nature, using his ki to sense for the girl. He could feel the still flow of the water, which was dangerous but ok, if only for a few hours. Broken objects would float about here and there, tapping at his side and moving to some corner of the room, but the girl was nowhere to be found.

'It shouldn't be this hard.' Everything felt so far was due to his natural human senses — his Ki couldn't extend beyond his body.

Tensing his head, Trunks concentrated more, forcing the energy out of his body at the core, where it was easily focused. Sensing ki was just sensing life energy from Everything, you know, alive; it was something he did daily. So, when pushing his ki through the water to bring his awareness around the entire basement, he expected the usual microorganisms, along with maybe signs of the girl.

He was wrong

When Trunks finally got his Ki out of his body, he nearly sucked in a mouthful of water in alarm. His heart pounded wildly in his chest, every beat thumping against his ribs. It was too overwhelming.

Every molecule was alive, bustling with intense energy that rivaled many planets he had seen. Of course, microbes floated about, going about their business, but it was the other presences that drew his attention. These ghost-like creatures drifted through the water, radiating a sense of nostalgia and pure emotion.

Love.Happiness. Anger. Sadness.

The Spirits laughed, raged, and cried in response to their return-- each unique in every way. Among them were 4 significant presences that Trunks would say were beacons in the light, but it would only describe one of them.

The first burned with a sensual passion. Wherever it went, the lesser spirits followed like lapdogs and quivered with desire. The water itself glowed with blush.

The second flared like molten steel-- Reserved, dedicated, alive with the flames of curiosity. The lesser spirits around it sparked with ideas, drawn into stories Trunks couldn't fully understand.

Next was the third. The largest and most radiant and divine of the group.

Its presence ignited the water around it, boiling and causing it to glow. It commanded respect and had few spirits around it. Trunks could feel the pull from this one the most.

Finally, there was one more, a fourth.

A mess of contradiction- raw, unpolished energy coiling In an abnormal shape, moving towards him. It felt somewhat similar to how things usually felt when sending Ki. Human and alive, but more complex at the same time, like rules were bearing down on his power.

While the others were pulling his perception and soul towards them with greed, the last one brought itself forward meekly and tired. He tried to pull himself back to his body because he couldn't really understand what he was looking at, but their pull grew stronger.

Then, the fourth presence reached him, not mentally, but physically. It touched him, drawing him back to his body.

"What are you?" A voice whispered before dragging him through the water to somewhere where there wasn't any. He was still faced towards the ground.

" Do I have to awaken you or something?" She jabbed him the calf " Wake up!!"

Trunks felt an uncomfortable tingle up his spine as the girls hand traced up his leg and circled his back, her cold fingers like a doctor dutifully checking their patient" I thought Servants would be stronger, No offense, I mean your built like one of those greek statues , but you were taken out by wood and your mana is minuscule."

'Mana?'

He figured based on the complexity of the Ki and the concepts applied to it, that he was at least in another timeline, but even throughout thousands of timelines he had never heard it be called mana.

The girl now grabbed at his arm attempting to flip him over, he could hear grunts of pain and moans of struggle, which puzzled him on why she questioned his strength while she seemed to be only able to apply like 40 pounds of force.

Finally able to turn him over with a burning pain in her legs and forearm, Rin continued tracing Trunk's body with curiosity and intrigue, it was like she was studying something at something he was wearing, but as far as he knew there was nothing there.

" I wonder do all servants have this many magic crests"

To Rin it was appalling, just having one crest was enough to disrupt her daily life, she had to make sure she took care of it else it ruin her circuit pathway. But this servant seemed to have as much as five, all of high quality, her mind couldn't help but race at the thought of what kind of spells were contained within them.

'What era is he from? Will I really be able to analyze spells from the age of gods?'

Moving on from the magical elements Rin's eyes settled on his face.

" You truly have a pretty face, just like a princess, So I'll call you princess. I'm sure we'll get along once I figure out how to wake you up, especially if what I'm seeing turns out to be true."

Just because she was a magus didn't mean she was immune to pretty things- she was indeed still a young girl, but her more magic fascinated mind resisting her blushing heart just so happened to formulate into words that violated Trunk's very soul.

'She didn't'

Trunk's blood would boil if it were able, the rough laughter of his father already echoing in his head. " I always wanted a daughter, turns out I had a princess all along.

Breaking trunks out of his thoughts Rin did something intresting as she put her hands on his chest and began maneuvering Ki. thoughtout his body. Her unique tendril of energy felt unlike other times he and his friends shared key for a greater goal. It felt closer like he had a deep connection with the stranger.

Then she seemed to click something in place because he could now move again with a torrent of energy immediately flowing towards him from the water.

" Your weird you know that? A servant who hasn't awakened their magic yet. What are you?"

Having been distracted by his body being free again Trunks who had his eyes closed was taken aback by the girls voice and quickly opened them as he tried to cook up response.

In front of him stood a girl with dark hair wearing a torn night gown and appeared starved like she hadn't eaten for days. There seemed to be a tattoo on her left arm, but also a star shaped tattoo on her neck.

" A respectful young man who doesn't take kindly to being groped." Trunks replied to the girls question with full seriousness.

" I... I wasn't groping you." She blushed in offense surprised that Trunks was conscious for her curious analysis. " I'm not into to blueberry headed princesses anyway, besides I'm the master and you're the servant so you shouldn't be so difficult."

" Really? I don't exactly remember agreeing to that."

"Well my first order as your master is for you to blast that pile of rubble blocking us in here. You should be able to do that even if you're low tier." She pointed to the door frame stuffed with concrete wood and rubble.

Looking at the door it all made sense to trunks she must have been stuck down here after he fell asleep, well it shouldn't be to much trouble, walking towards the frame trunks simply pushed and the rubble was knocked away with the wind of him punching carrying most the impact.

"There. Now, maybe you can explain why I'm considered your servant?"Trunks turned toward the girl, arms folded. His tone calm but softened."My name's Trunks, by the way."

"You don't know what. this means?" She pointed to her neck.

Trunks shook his head no.

"Huh? Well I'm Rin, if you really don't know anything, Trunks, let's get dressed first, right?. Saying so and not waiting for him to respond Rin swiftly limped up the stairs into the rubble.

Trunks stared at the empty doorway, sighing."Hopefully this isn't another bizarre timeline." He'd had enough of those to last a lifetime. And from the looks of it, he'd be stuck here for a while. The Time Ring still shimmered faintly on his hand—glowing a soft, unsettling red.Something was still very wrong.
