Kowloon pulls the coffin. This marks the beginning of Ye Hei, Pang Bo, and the others, all setting sail. At the Mount Tai class reunion that year, the Nine Dragons Coffin descended upon Mount Tai. Ye Hei and the others entered it by chance, leaving Earth, crossing the void, arriving in the Northern Dipper Star Field, officially beginning Ye Hei's journey to dominate with the ancient Sacred Body.
Seeing this scene again, Ye Hei and the others were filled with emotion. Reflecting on the past, time has flown, right and wrong have blurred. The glamor faded, leaving behind plain truth.
"I never imagined it all started with the Barren Emperor," Ye Hei said quietly. Without that Kowloon exile, without that journey, there might never have been a Ye Hei who later suppressed his era. He would've remained an ordinary man on Earth, driving a Mercedes-Benz, reading the Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon.
Pang Bo also sighed. After enduring countless trials of blood and fire, it's hard to say if it was all worth it.
At the same time, the tale of Huang approached its end. After sealing the Heaven Court, Shi Hao, now unburdened by attachments, declared war on the dark world and entered it alone. The dark cage was broken. Standing at the edge of the abyss, dark matter began eroding Shi Hao's body. Giants of all races from the Immortal Domain came to see him off.
"It is said that to enter the dark world, one must abandon the body, only the primordial spirit can pass," someone whispered.
But Shi Hao, gazing into the dark world with divine light in his eyes, declared, "I don't believe it."
He stepped into the entrance. The sea of darkness surged, and dark matter invaded like a tide, but Shi Hao was unmoved, radiating dazzling brilliance as he walked deeper into the abyss. Footprints remained behind him, faint but glowing. In the eyes of kings, they were sacred and clear. He stepped forward alone.
Across the embankment, another line of faint footprints already existed. No one knew when they first appeared. But if they were left like this, the one who walked them must have been an emperor too.
"Did that person perish at the end of the dark world?" someone speculated.
This thought disturbed many. If even an Immortal Emperor fell there, what fate awaited Huang? Could anyone withstand the terror beyond the edge?
Looking back across countless eras, amidst endless rises and falls, if a sovereign like Shi Hao failed, then hope itself might vanish.
"Huangdi, you must endure," an old Immortal King murmured. As he peered toward the sea of boundary, Shi Hao's figure was already lost within its haze.
Though older than Shi Hao, some having lived through unknown epochs, these kings now stood solemn. At the mention of the name Huangdi, their tones were reverent.
Shi Hao walked on through roaring waves. Along the way, he saw once-glorious kings—names recorded in ancient texts. They had reached this boundary but gone no further. Upon seeing Shi Hao, they stirred and opened their eyes.
Shi Hao acknowledged them with a nod, not stopping. He continued into the heart of Jiehai. Legends of old watched in silence, as the darkest storm of the world was about to break—and only he moved forward.
Shi Hao alone defied the natural order.
Eventually, he arrived at the world's end, where he encountered the Butcher, a figure from the era of Emperor Luo, along with others like the medicine seller and chicken raiser. Though the Butcher had not reached the Emperor Realm, his brilliance exceeded that of the Immortal Kings. Among those below the Emperor level, he was likely invincible.
"Meet again," Shi Hao finally spoke. He looked at the Butcher strangely.
The Butcher stared back, his expression complex. After a long silence, he sighed and said, "That illusory figure I once saw—it was really you."
Many did not understand his words, but Shi Hao did.
"A dream of returning to the Emperor's fall is both real and illusion," Shi Hao muttered.
The others looked on, puzzled. The Butcher smiled bitterly and nodded. "There was no room for pride in my life, so I avoided you, journeying through other great worlds. I never expected to meet your true form again, and now, you've become a quasi-Immortal Emperor."
Time changes everything.
Once, Shi Hao had merely been a junior to the Butcher. Now, after countless years, he stood at the pinnacle of the Immortal Path. Shi Hao had become an emperor.
He stepped into the dark world. There, he clashed with its laws, battled dark creatures, and came upon a twisted reflection—a dark Heaven Court.
"Pilgrims, devout and humble, cross the sea to kneel before this seat. Why do you approach with murderous intent?" a grand voice echoed through the darkness.
"Pilgrims? Who are you?" Shi Hao asked coldly.
"Emperor," came the answer.
Just one word—but it struck like a thunderclap, filled with a majesty that made the entire world tremble. All creatures shuddered as if annihilation awaited a mere breath away.
In the massive palace complex stood a single being, calling himself emperor. Without revealing his form, he radiated an unmatched aura—one who truly ruled from above.
A real emperor?
Shi Hao's eyes narrowed. His gaze turned sharp, but he felt no fear. He was an Immortal Emperor himself. He held pride and carried the bearing of the invincible. Fear had no place in him. He stared forward and walked.
Then he saw it.
At the center of the dark Heaven Court sat a black throne. An old man, skin clinging to bone, gray and thin, wearing an emperor's crown and robe, looked down at him.
This was a dark quasi-Immortal Emperor.
"If you do not bow before the emperor, your true life will be erased. Your name will vanish from the Samsara monument. One step and one kowtow will cut your karmic sins. Your soul will be protected," the dark figure declared, his voice shaking time itself.
"Tricks and delusion. I too am of the Immortal Emperor realm. Who dares erase my true life? Who dares judge me? On the road to Samsara, I'll walk myself—and I'll see you off."
Shi Hao's voice was calm and cold. Each word landed like a divine edict.
