But to stop Bai Chenyao from staring at her, Gu Tiantian quickly changed the subject.
"Have you eaten, Mr. Bai? If not, I'll ask Mrs. Chen to prepare dinner right away."
Her eyes, like black grapes, darted around nervously. Though she feared his approach, she pretended to be bold. A peculiar glint flashed across Bai Chenyao's dark eyes.
"I've eaten!"

Gu Tiantian blinked and was just about to find another topic to distance herself from Bai Chenyao when he lifted her up entirely.
In the house, under the smiling and respectful gazes of the beautiful maids, she was carried upstairs by Bai Chenyao and taken into the bedroom.
Bai Chenyao tossed Gu Tiantian onto the bed, leaving behind the words, "Clean yourself up," before heading into the more private bathroom.
