Chapter 119 - Chapter 119; We won't touch that

The Hawk Team, a covert tactical unit under Lu Zi Zhen's command, stood in disciplined formation, silent but alert. Some were from the military and others were trained as assassins.

The Alpha team was also standing closer to Lu Zhi Hao waiting to receive his commands and what they would do next.

Lu Ting Cheng was there too, arms crossed, analyzing every angle like a general surveying a battlefield. He was a good strategist and could also make proper plans.

He may be young, but the sharp glint in his eye showed no novice in his mind.

"We are starting from this. The first phase is infiltration," Zi Zhen started stating the plans he had ok mind. "We begin with the hospital, the easiest and fastest to take control of, and out of the three, it's the most accessible and least fortified. If there's nothing there, we move north to Millan University."

"And what about the military site?" one of the Hawk operatives inquired, wondering what they had in mind with that place because they were infiltrating those three places.

"We won't touch that until we are done with the other two and turn out with empty hands," Lu Zhi Hao answered firmly. "Too many unknowns and it's crawling with false inactivity. They want us to underestimate, but we have to be careful with every point."

Wan Ruyi stepped forward then, her voice composed but ice-cold, you could feel something in her had shifted. "And that's why we keep surveillance on both sites once we begin the hospital sweep. If they are coordinating movements between the university and the base, we will catch them when they shift while they think we will walk into the trap blindly."

A tense hush settled over the crowded sitting area. The blueprints glowed on every screen, the low hum of laptops blending with the muted shuffle of men adjusting gear and whispering last checks.

They dressed up and armed themselves, not only were they carrying grenades

Wan Ruyi stood at the front, one hand braced on the edge of the long table, the other tracing the lines of the hospital schematic cranking everything.

Her voice cut through the low murmurs that were going on, and was calm but slicing through every hardened soldier's nerves.

"We do this by my clock, and not theirs or anyone's. Hawk Team, you would have to split into three squads, one that would go for the North wing, and the other for the South wing, and lastly the Basement access. The Alpha team will shadow and clean up after infiltration; there will be no alarms or gunfire unless it's absolutely necessary. If you encounter any danger, try to use combat knives."

She flicked her gaze to Lu Zi Zhen who was keenly listening, "Zi Zhen, your squad disables comm lines and security feeds in sequence, it should be five minutes from breach to blackout. Nothing suspicious on the grid, no stray signals for them to sniff or trace us."

He gave a crisp nod, eyes locked on her, seeing not just his mother but the ruthless tactician the world thought was just a weak socialite wife. Actually, this was the mother he had known since he was young.

Lu Ting Cheng stepped forward, knuckles tapping the digital screen with quiet force, "Look here, this surgical ward sub-level, there's an unlisted corridor. We suspect it connects directly to a restricted biolab. That's where I'm going."

Wan Ruyi's eyes narrowed dangerously, her approval sharp. "Take two of Alpha's silent ops with you. Bring any files you find stacked in there, no loose ends."

She turned, her eyes softer now as she faced Lu Zhi Hao. He stood just behind her, a mountain of quiet fury and protective warmth all at once. She knew he was surprised about her sudden change of aura, but everything else could wait until they had rescued Lu Ting Zhou.
