Atlas Hallow's office was unlocked, and in the grand office, there was no one. She sat on the sofa facing the floor-to-ceiling glass windows. It had been a long time since she'd seen such a fiery sunset. Outside, it was always a murky gray, just like her current mood.
Since when could Atlas Hallow control her emotions?
Walking through the gray mist, she felt as though she had transformed into a demon—frightening.
"Where is she?" In a dark alley, a man in a black coat reached out and choked another man's neck. In the dark mist, his eyes burned blood-red, terrifying like a demon's gaze.
"I don't know, it really wasn't me..." The man being choked looked terrified, the large hands cutting off his every breath, as if just a slight increase in force would break his trachea. The man in front of him was tall and imposing, with sharp features like a deity, yet behind him, it seemed as if a pair of invisible black wings were slowly unfurling.
Those were demonic wings...
