"I'm going out for a bit." Yang Chen walked up to Ye Xin and Wei Xueqing and said, "I didn't get to tell Yanyan before I left, so I'm going to check on them and I'll be back soon."
Wei Xueqing sat quietly on the sofa, her eyes red, clearly having just cried.
Ye Xin nodded gently and said, "Honey, I won't go with you, just be careful."
She needed to stay and look after Wei Xueqing.
"Okay!" Yang Chen nodded, glanced at Wei Xueqing, thought for a moment, and said, "Xueqing, I'm really sorry about your father."
Wei Xueqing looked up at Yang Chen, shook her head slightly, and said, "It has nothing to do with you. His death was accidental, too sudden, no one expected it. He was just too exhausted lately."
Yang Chen contemplated, yet decided to tell Wei Xueqing the truth.
"Xueqing, I do have some responsibility in this matter." Yang Chen said solemnly, looking at Wei Xueqing.
Wei Xueqing looked at Yang Chen with confusion, not understanding why he would take on this responsibility.
