Chapter 74 - CHAPTER 74

Chapter 74: Roar!!!

A thunderous roar echoed again as the Eight-Tails, recognizing that its Tailed Beast Ball had once more proven ineffective, decisively ceased the futile bombardment. With immense force, the massive beast launched its colossal frame into the air, slamming its fist down toward Uchiha Yue with terrifying momentum.

At that moment, an overwhelming aura erupted from Uchiha Yue's position—dense, oppressive, as if the weight of a mountain had suddenly descended. The immense chakra pressure from the Eight-Tails—whose very presence once caused seasoned shinobi to flee—was now pushed to the extreme.

Yet despite the beast's power, Uchiha Yue's own presence was no weaker. Half-bodied Susanoo, still glowing with ghostly chakra, raised its enormous shield. The weapon, shimmering with an ethereal blue hue, was lifted with raw force and unwavering confidence, standing tall as if to prop up the heavens themselves. It met the incoming punch with brutal precision.

Boom!!!

A deafening roar ripped across the battlefield as the fist and shield collided, the shockwave flattening everything in a hundred-meter radius. The ground caved several meters deep beneath their clash, uprooting stone and soil as a raw force shook the land like an earthquake. Despite the titanic impact, Uchiha Yue's Susanoo remained unmoved. The massive shield, reinforced with his unique Mangekyō Sharingan chakra, did not bear a single crack.

On the contrary, the Eight-Tails' enormous frame, previously a symbol of unstoppable power, was suddenly halted midair. The recoil from the clash even caused the behemoth to recoil slightly—forcefully lifted back by the immovable defense of Susanoo.

The sight was awe-inspiring—no less grand than the earlier Tailed Beast Ball assault. If anything, it was even more devastating, for it displayed the raw might of man-made power standing toe-to-toe with that of a Bijū.

"Roar!!!"

Foiled again, the Eight-Tails bellowed in mounting fury. Its eight muscular tails writhed like serpents, whipping around wildly. With desperate strength, it hurled them down upon the Susanoo's shield and tried to coil them around its glowing frame in an attempt to bind and crush.

But as the beast's attack closed in, Uchiha Yue narrowed his eyes. A strange, uncomfortable pressure began to rise in his chest—not from fear or pain, but instinctual annoyance. Without hesitation, he willed his Susanoo to evolve, no longer just a half-body guardian but now towering over 100 meters—a fully manifested warrior-god with wings and armor forged from Uchiha flame and illusion.

With this transformation, the mighty Eight-Tails now seemed small—its once fearsome presence dwarfed, and its flailing tails rendered powerless.

"What a shame," Yue muttered, his voice carrying across the battlefield from the Susanoo's forehead, where he stood, arms folded. "I wanted to enjoy the fight a little longer. But this discomfort… let's end it."

With that, the full-body Susanoo raised one massive arm and brought it crashing down.

Boom!!!

The ground split beneath the impact as an explosion of chakra and dust blanketed the battlefield. A crater several hundred meters wide formed instantly. Within the center, the Eight-Tails' body lay limp. Its tails, previously a blur of motion, now sagged lifelessly. It was down for good.

When the dust settled, there it was: the mighty Eight-Tails—flattened, broken, and completely incapacitated. Its massive frame sprawled across the pit like a salted fish drying under the sun.

"As expected," Yue said, looking down at the subdued beast with mild disappointment. "Tailed beasts really are just playthings now. I hoped this one would push me, but…" He trailed off, voice distant, almost melancholic. "My strength has grown too fast."

Yue had hoped for a battle worth savoring—one like the legendary duels of Madara Uchiha or Hashirama Senju. But the moment he used his completed Susanoo, the fight lost its challenge.

"Hmm?" Yue's expression shifted. He sensed movement—an unfamiliar chakra signature emerging near the fallen beast.

Boom!

Without warning, Susanoo's foot slammed into the ground near the Eight-Tails, shaking the earth anew. Soil and rubble exploded outward as a figure scrambled free, dodging at the last second.

It was Killer Bee.

"So that's it," Yue muttered, watching Bee stumble out of a trench. "The Eight-Tails docked its tail to survive? That final blow didn't finish it off after all. It still had enough strength to split—and Bee was hiding underground."

"Let's see," he said, his voice growing colder. "How long can you last now?"

With a faint grin tugging at his lips, Yue commanded Susanoo to raise its foot again.

"Bagayaro! Konoyaro! This guy's trying to stomp me flat again? Too much!" Bee cried, his rhyme lost in the rising panic as the colossal foot loomed overhead.

The battlefield, once a stage of intense and violent confrontation, had now descended into a bizarre scene—Killer Bee dodging comically while a mountain-sized warrior tried to squash him like a bug.

Meanwhile, on the Konoha side, the elite shinobi observing the clash snapped back to reality.

"Everyone! Lord Hokage has already defeated the Eight-Tails' Jinchūriki. Capture is only a matter of time! Move quickly!" shouted one of the Elite Jōnin, gesturing toward the shattered remains of Black Rock City.

Galvanized by the command, the Konoha ninja surged forward. Yet even as they advanced, many cast lingering glances at the towering Susanoo, awe and admiration flickering in their eyes.

The myth had become real. Uchiha Yue—Hokage and warrior—had proven himself a living legend.

Time passed quickly on the battlefield.

Though Uchiha Yue didn't employ his most lethal moves, using the opportunity instead to refine control over his new power, Killer Bee eventually collapsed. His injuries were severe, and his Jinchūriki vitality could only delay the inevitable.

The remaining Cloud shinobi didn't fare any better. From the beginning, they had been blindsided by Yue's Wind Release: Rasenshuriken—a perfected, Sage-enhanced variant more powerful than even Naruto's earlier iterations. The opening attack had wiped out a third of their forces instantly.

Those who survived were either shielded by Bee or lucky enough to be on the outskirts of the blast. But most were gravely injured, their combat power gone.

With Konoha's forces largely unscathed and composed of elite units, the outcome was inevitable. The resistance crumbled. Only a few stragglers managed to flee, and even they were swiftly pursued and taken down.

The battle for Black Rock City had ended—and with it, the Eight-Tails' freedom.
