Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: Not an Enemy

Chapter 19: Not an Enemy

Did she hear that right?

"Young master?"

So… the "perverted master" she had just cursed in her mind was actually that brat?

Before she could process the absurdity of the situation, two figures in pristine white appeared, standing out starkly amidst the sea of black-clad men.

As they came into focus, their beauty was almost overwhelming. They wore white lab coats, their skin was fair, and their faces delicate—almost feminine—yet still undeniably masculine.

One was tall, around 1.9 meters, and looked about twenty-five, with calm, gentle eyes. The other was slightly shorter, around 1.8 meters, much younger—probably eighteen or nineteen—with bright, mischievous eyes.

Why was she paying such close attention?

Because she was a BL fan, obviously.

Seeing two strikingly handsome men standing side by side with such perfect chemistry—how could she not notice?

The taller man's face felt strangely familiar. She searched her memory but couldn't quite place him. He crouched down, scooped her up in a princess carry, and walked off effortlessly—like she was nothing more than a feather pillow.

Meanwhile, the younger one turned and smacked the guy who had thrown her to the ground.

"Useless mutt."

That voice—

It was the same mischievous, bell-like voice she had heard earlier when she first woke up.

So this was the brat obsessed with "body refinement"?

She hadn't expected him to be this good-looking.

Back in her original room, the taller man gently placed her down on the bed and spoke in a soft, chiding tone:

"Ngọc Linh, you're still not fully recovered. Why are you running around?"

Ngọc Linh?

She blinked, confused.

The way he spoke—so familiar, so intimate—made it clear they weren't enemies.

His voice was also the warm one she had heard that morning.

He sat beside her and carefully examined her injuries. As he pulled out a medical kit, the younger one immediately yanked him away.

"Trần Anh Hùng, aren't you busy? Go take care of your little beauty over there. I'll handle this."

Without protest, Trần Anh Hùng nodded and left.

Wait—

Trần Anh Hùng?!

No wonder he looked familiar!

She finally remembered—he was a famous genius scientist who had mysteriously disappeared years ago.

And now, he was here?

The brat beside her chuckled, his eyes filled with mischief.

"Didn't expect Hùng to carry you like that. The Trần family's young master never lets anyone touch him without permission. So, what do you plan to do about him?"

He was clearly amused.

It was starting to seem like these two had genuinely saved her, and they weren't hostile toward her at all.

And from the way he spoke, her past self must have been close to them.

At the very least, being around them felt safer than being with Nguyễn Thế Anh.

Lost in thought, she barely noticed when the brat sat down beside her and carefully examined her injuries.

With incredible gentleness, he dipped a cotton swab into antiseptic and softly cleaned the scratches on her face—his touch so delicate, as if afraid to hurt her.

Then—without warning—he grabbed a pair of scissors and cut open her pant leg to clean the wounds on her knees.

She stiffened.

But her eyes couldn't stop staring at his hands.

They were beautiful.

Long, slender fingers, smooth pale skin…

If she didn't know he was a man, she would have thought they belonged to a woman.

"Anywhere else hurt?"

His voice snapped her back to reality.

She blinked, then finally asked:

"Who are you? And where am I?"
