Inside the Technology Development Bureau, Nanaya was shocked to see a massive three-headed hellhound causing chaos outside.
He had thought the Summoning Technique—being a space-time ability—might bring in creatures like the summoned beasts from the Naruto world. But instead, it summoned a Menos Grande.
Still, its powers matched what he remembered.
Yoruichi, in her black cat form, jumped around restlessly."Nanaya, what's going on out there? I can't sense any killing intent from here."
"It's nothing. I'm just testing out my abilities," Nanaya replied casually as he summoned the other members of the new Six Paths of Pain.
"Damn it, that three-headed dog splits apart every time you hit it..."
"Then stop attacking it!"
"Too late—more are showing up. Rhino-looking Menos Grandes this time..."
"I've got a crab one over here…"
The front of the Technology Development Bureau was complete chaos.
Three-headed dogs, rhinos, crabs, bulls, chameleons, weird birds—strange and terrifying beasts were running wild.
The regular Shinigami were getting overwhelmed.
Kurotsuchi Mayuri's eyes lit up with twisted excitement as he stared at the black rods embedded in the summoned Hollows.
"This is fascinating. Hollows appearing in the Seireitei out of nowhere, yet someone's controlling them. Is this Urahara Kisuke's new experiment?!"
Eyes gleaming, Kurotsuchi Mayuri unsheathed his Zanpakutō and shouted:
"Unleash, Ashisogi Jizō!"
A wave of powerful Reiatsu surged out. When it faded, his sword had changed—three venomous blades extended from it.
In a flash, he dashed toward the massive crab-like Hollow and slashed at the black rod lodged in its body.
Suddenly, a missile flew toward him, trailing fire.
"What the—?!"
Startled, Mayuri raised his blade to block it. But the moment the sword touched the missile, it exploded in a red-hot blast. The force sent him flying.
Before he could even land, Deva Path Pain appeared behind him, reaching for his back.
"Stealing my spiritual energy...?!" Mayuri's eyes went wide. He swung his sword backward, but it was caught mid-strike.
Human Path Pain gripped the blade and said coldly:
"Now do you understand pain?"
Neri, filled with rage, tried to destroy the Zanpakutō, eyes burning with fury.
But before anything else happened, Naraka Path Pain slammed his hand to the ground and shouted:
"Summoning Jutsu: King of Hell!"(jigouku no ou sama)
A terrifying figure emerged from the earth—a grotesque King of Hell with a huge mouth and a long, red tongue.
"I-is that the stench of Hell?!"
Mayuri's eyes bulged.
"Is Urahara really messing around with Hell now?!"
Even he hadn't dared to study Hell—it was the final destination for the damned.
Naraka Path Pain spoke coldly:
"Kurotsuchi Mayuri, what are your thoughts on Urahara Kisuke?"
Mayuri's lips curled. He had no interest in answering.
But something triggered the summoned King of Hell. Its long tongue shot out, radiating a strange energy.

Mayuri groaned in agony.
His mouth was forced open, and his tongue stretched out unnaturally—nearly half a meter—threatening to tear.
"Damn you, Urahara Kisuke!"
Pale and sweating, Mayuri didn't hesitate. He cut off his own tongue.
Then he injected some unknown serum into his body.
His tongue regenerated instantly.
"Tsk tsk… Science really does change everything," Nanaya murmured in amazement.
He couldn't help but think how much Mayuri reminded him of Orochimaru.
"Hey! Nanaya! Let me see it too!" Yoruichi growled, annoyed, scratching at his face with her tiny claws.
"Alright, alright, I'll show you," Nanaya said, stretching lazily as he strolled outside the building.
"Kurotsuchi Mayuri," Naraka Path Pain said again, "Tell me how you feel about Urahara Kisuke."
This time, Neri didn't dare stay silent. The King of Hell's power was far too real.
"I'd love to kill that guy," he said through gritted teeth.
"You're lying."
The King of Hell opened its mouth again. Its red tongue lashed out.
Mayuri, now fuming with rage, could barely contain himself. His eyes turned bloodshot as he screamed to the sky:
"Urahara Kisuke, I swear I'll kill you!!!"
Meanwhile, back at Urahara's shop, Kisuke sneezed and rubbed his nose.
"Hmm? Why do I feel like someone's talking trash about me...?"
Back in the Seireitei, Mayuri cut off his tongue again.
Pain remained expressionless.
"Neri," he said once more, "Tell me what you really think of Urahara Kisuke."
Realizing he couldn't avoid the question, Neri swallowed his anger and answered, face dark with frustration...
"I hate that guy so much. I hate him to death. I want to kill him… but deep down, I really admire him. I respect him with all my heart…"
"Whoa!"
One of the 12th Division Shinigami gasped in shock.
He looked at Mayuri with wide eyes—he never expected that their captain, who always acted like he despised Urahara Kisuke, actually admired him so deeply.
Kurotsuchi Mayuri's face twitched. She silently swore that after all of this was over, she would definitely eliminate every Shinigami who overheard that confession.
But just then…
"Kurotsuchi Mayuri, I'm going to tell Urahara Kisuke what you just said."
Standing by the entrance of the Technology Development Bureau, Shihouin Yoruichi leaned against the wall, smiling.
"I bet he'll be very happy to hear it."
"Shihouin Yoruichi!!!"
Mayuri exploded in rage.
Her heart boiled with the urge to kill, and her eyes filled with murderous fury.
If Urahara Kisuke ever found out about this, she might as well disappear from the world.
Consumed by rage, Mayuri grabbed her broken Zanpakutō and shouted:
"Bankai!"
"Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō!!"
Normally, a broken Zanpakutō couldn't be used for Bankai, but Mayuri was different. Her spiritual pressure was still at captain level.
The shattered blade began to morph and shift, slowly transforming into a living creature.
A golden, caterpillar-like beast appeared.
It had the huge head of a baby, a silver bell ring atop its head, a rose-red body, and a fat silkworm-like tail. The entire thing looked eerie and unsettling.
Mayuri pointed at her enemies and yelled:
"Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō—Kill them!"
The massive, golden caterpillar let out a screech and began wriggling rapidly toward Nanaya and Yoruichi.
But Nanaya didn't seem worried. In fact, he looked more stressed dealing with Yoruichi.
"Miss Yoruichi, can you please put some clothes on before you come outside?!"
He stood behind her, sweating, trying to cover her with a white cloth using one hand, while the other struggled to help her get dressed.
Yoruichi laughed and said, "This is Mayuri's confession. How could I miss it?"
Then she shot him a suspicious glare.
"Wait… are you trying to take advantage of me?"
Nanaya frantically shook his head.
"No, no, not at all! Your clothes are just too complicated! And honestly, I'm tired of seeing you naked!"
Yoruichi grit her teeth and replied, "You little brat—don't forget how you used to get nosebleeds just looking at me!"
"Ahem…"
Nanaya awkwardly patted her on the back and forced a smile.
"Well, you get used to it after a while, y'know?"
Watching the two bicker playfully, Mayuri only got more furious.
"You two idiots! Don't you dare underestimate me!!"
Her golden Bankai creature had already reached them. It opened its huge, grotesque mouth and spat out thick purple gas—clearly poisonous.
Before the poison could spread, Tendo Pain—who resembled Byakuya Kuchiki—stepped forward.
"Shinra Tensei."
A powerful, invisible repulsion blasted outward.
The poisonous gas was scattered in an instant, and the huge caterpillar-like creature was thrown back violently.
"Useless thing! I said kill them!!"
Mayuri snapped, staring at her Bankai in frustration.
The golden creature groaned pitifully, then squirmed forward again and charged at Tendo Pain.
But this time, he didn't use Shinra Tensei.
Instead, he bit his thumb, pressed his bloodied hand onto the ground, and shouted:
