The moment the unknown body of the poor vampire crashed a few inches away from her feet was nothing short of dramatic. Enough to fill her with a certain feeling of deja vu as memories of the first time she had met Khaos BlueBlood crashed through her mind,
That fateful day, she had run away from her coven into the forest that witches warned their daughters from venturing into. Then just as she had entered deep into the menacing forest filled with shadows of trees that twisted into something she couldn't quite put into words at the time, Khaos BlueBlood had come crashing through the trees.
Like a fallen god.
But the vampire at her feet that now choked on his own blood was nothing like the fallen god her ten year old self had been drawn to at the time. This man was at the cusp of death whereas Khaos BlueBlood had survived his fall while still managing to grip a dagger that seemed to evoke grief and rage from his still, wounded body.
