The next morning, Osa woke up early to check on the healing chambers. Saguna's mother's visit had been amazing, but it also left him feeling restless. Something about seeing a family reunite made him think about his own parents back in the Verdant Coils, and whether they even knew he was alive.
Dewdrop was waiting for him in the main chamber, but she wasn't her usual cheerful self. The tiny spirit hovered near the coral pools, her golden sparkles dim and her movements agitated.
"What's wrong?" Osa asked, settling beside the pool where she floated.
Dewdrop chittered rapidly, her tone urgent and distressed. She kept pointing toward the deeper parts of the palace, then covering her eyes like she didn't want to see something.
"You're upset about something down there?" Osa guessed. "Something bad?"
