Chapter 32 - Sewing Needle

"Ain't this just assault?" Satoya's question roamed through the vacant room filled with patches of grass. Several people wearing masks holding onto large sewing needles were unconscious, some even bleeding from their chest or other parts of their bodies.

"I mean, they were quite weak to be honest." Shizune replied, resting the crowbar on her shoulder. There was no blood on either Satoya nor her.

As in actuality, they weren't the ones to kill these unfortunate souls. They just just randomly walked into a massacred area, and the remark said by Shizune? Mainly bluff. Satoya crouched, curiously observing the clothing, masks, and even the comically large sewing needles that these people used as weapons, he was quite confused by the sight.

I don't wanna touch their clothes, mainly because they are dead. I'm pretty sure if someone stumbled by and caught me touching a corpse's clothes, they'd mistake me for some desperate low life.

But he did find it very strange how these people were killed. Some of them had a mortal gash on their chest that still bled onto the grass. Others were seemingly beaten to death, but the overall sight was kinda gruesome. But, considering the fact that Satoya did indeed kill a grotesque beast of an Iya, and also before that knock a couple people out without realizing his own combat capabilities—And oh yeah right, he still doesn't understand how he's fighting this "well." Or experienced, Satoya himself was disturbed by the scene.

Wearing masks, using weirdly large sewing needles as a sort of spear-thing.. Hmm. Shizune scratched her head in thought, glaring at a man who had an oddly huge lump on his head. She is aware of the fashion of every criminal organization and other organizations, since that's quite literally common sense, but she couldn't figure out where these sewing needle wielding dead bastards are. She then came up with a rather strange conclusion.

"Yo Satoya! If I take a picture do you think it'd be disrespectful? I mean they're dead!"

Satoya stood up, then slowly turned his head, side eyeing Shizune with a mortified expression. He proceeded to make a more disgusted face before pointing to the deceased man he was analyzing, "what? No! That's disrespectful as hell!"

"I'm tryna figure out what organization they are from!" Shizune yelled in response.

"That doesn't mean you get to take pictures of a dead person!"

Shizune shrugged, walking to a man whose head was sliced off rather cleanly, his head was abandoned directly next to the body. Quite frankly surprised how I haven't puked at all while looking at dead people… Huh? Odd. She thought, blankly looking at the decapitated man.

Suddenly, the answer to the original question on where these people came from sparked up in her mind. These people are from The Consortium, an organization that from memory, is a faction of twisted psychopaths who always are in a group of 5, with 4 threads being the masked men holding a large sewing needle as a weapon, and one being considered the "Heart Weaver." Who is often documented to use a needle with a large silver thread, basically using it as a whip on a stick. They do also use firearms, but it depends on the decision imposed by the Heart Weaver, and is mostly backup or final resort.

Wait if these are The Consortium, then… Ew.

She quickly turned to Satoya, pointing at the decapitated man, calling out, "Satoya! These guys are Consortium guys!" As the words departed from her lips, she immediately realized that Mr. I-don't-pay-attention-to-anything probably don't know who she is talking about.

"Who?" Satoya swiftly replied.

Shizune made an exhausted sigh, answering Satoya's question, "Consortium people hunt down people blessed by The Blessing Celestial, and use their hearts to weave their clothing!"

"Ew, and why The Blessing Celestial specifically?" Satoya asked, scratching his chin. He was unsure why anyone would want to hunt down people who received a blessing from The Blessing Celestial, an Ancient Crucible who is often known to bless those by giving—oh wait.. That explained it.

"Wait.. OH!"

Shizune looked at him blankly, until Satoya continued, "I think I did receive a blessing from her.."

"Huh?"

Satoya vividly remembered the warmth he felt while he was spiralling down mentally after killing the Iya that was formerly Hayate, yet he never understood how his injuries were cured, and lastly, how he felt better immediately. So he briefly explained the situation, which made Shizune even more awe struck, however, he was unsure if Shizune was familiar with Hayate, so just in case, he tried his best to filter the whole scuffle that was his last contract regarding retrieving a Wrehtched blood vial from The Jurisdiction Court.

"So, well one, you killed an Iya, congrats, two.. HOW DID YOU NOT REALIZE THAT SOONER?" Shizune scolded, completely baffled by how much Satoya just skims through life. .

So she started walking back and forth, crowbar still resting on her shoulder, but she was waving her finger around, "So, let me get this straight, you accidentally became the reason why Argoreas, an Executioner is probably still wreaking havoc in that Rieamaius airport, and you also received a direct blessing from an Ancient Crucible. Do you know how rare that is? How lucky are you? Go get a lottery ticket from a convenience store nearby and you could probably win like a quadrillion Alikurs!"

"Didn't The Blessing Celestial go by like 40 names?" Satoya asked abruptly after Shizune's rant about how lucky he was. Shizune took a deep breath, calmly answering his question, "is that all you had to ask even after I said… Whatever.. But yeah, people call her The Sovereign Mother of All Life, she doesn't have like 40 names like The Jurisdiction Gavel however."

"Oh, amazing information." Satoya gave her a boring thumbs up, and then approached her. "We should probably still go explore more, according to that one food truck, they saw some muscled up curly dark haired guy walk into this building." He added, beginning to walk to the path that led to a staircase up.

However, Shizune called out, in a unexpectedly quiet, and whisper-like voice, as if the next words that will leave her mouth are confidential information that can only be known by two agents.

"So, what did you mean by that?"

Satoya paused, nearly taking a step up the stairs. He stepped down, casually facing her, Satoya didn't understand what the question she was asking, but he decided to hear her out.

"By what?"

Shizune in this, murmur of a tone, repeated again, but she was seemingly distracted, looking at a worn down poster of some advertisement.

"Y'know, 'a resolution to this ever-stained world.'?"
