He goes a bit crazy completely boarding up the windows and heading into the back room he did the same for the broken window as well sealing it up. He deleted the old couch and put a bed in its place a desk and some blank books and writing utensils.
He makes a small place to cook on using some iron it forms a wood stove and a stool he can reach to cook on should he need to, walking out back into the main area Alex considered what he should do for training his body and mind Gotham is a very dangerous place especially for a kid with no backing In the end he just set up some targets so he can train his magic on.
"Hopefully this is enough." He ran his fingers through his hair as he thinks on how to activate his magic. "Light waves, radiation waves, sound waves, regular waves created by large bodies of water." he sat down on the dusty floor and focused on his memories remembering his own self research for something or another.

'I guess I better go to the corner store and get some food.' he slid his shiv into his waistband and left the building accepting the quest, he made his way down to the store and pulled some money out of his inventory putting it into his baggy pocket as he walked inside the building.
as Alex stepped inside, he noticed an angry man yelling at the cashier who looks bored as the man yells at them obviously not paid enough for this shit, he wandered to the back of the store grabbing supplies canned food batteries some bottled water a handheld electric can opener and bringing them to the front pausing when two more men enter the building and stand next to the angry man.
"Get the money out of the register and put it in a bag now!" The angry man pulled out a gun and so did his two buddies, the cashier started to comply as Alex started putting items in his inventory candles candy bars lighters some watches clothes a bunch of canned food and a case of water.
He didn't stick around to watch when he gathered all of his ill-gotten loot, and he snuck towards the back door and opened it by taking a broom handle and laying it against the push bar before throwing his shoulder into it and stumbling out into the back alley setting the backdoor fire alarm off.
Picking himself up he booked it down the alley back towards his hideout with enough food to last him at least a couple months, he reached the backdoor of the church and opened the door rushing heading inside and then locking it. "Well, that went well." He started getting some food made and set up some candles, so he had some light at night, after his meal he headed into the training area to start trying to figure out how his magic worked and how to utilize it properly.
"Alright let's try detecting mana first." He began meditating focusing on his heart beat feeling its flow and a little bit of something else, something different a warm feeling rushed through Alex's body as he sensed it, mana flowing from his heart throughout his body into his limbs and into his fingers and toes, he lost himself to the feeling for a while getting pulled out of it by a system notification.
