The Demon King's Student
With nowhere else to turn, Kaiden joined the remnants of the demon army not out of patriotism, but for the free food they provided to soldiers. Though already hardened by survival, formal military training honed his skills to unprecedented levels. His abilities soon caught the attention of the Demon King himself, who recognized Kaiden's rare dark-element magic and unparalleled combat prowess.
Taking the boy under his wing, The Demon King Varkos Nightbane became the father Kaiden never had. He trained him in wisdom, strategy, and the history of their race, shaping him into something greater. Though feared as a ruthless tyrant, the Demon King was a protector of his people, and for Kaiden, he was the only guiding light in a dark world.
Yet, unknown to Kaiden, the Demon King was preparing him for something far greater.
The Mission & The Crown :
Years passed under the Demon King's guidance, and Kaiden had grown into a formidable warrior, mastering both combat and the rare dark element magic. One day, he was summoned to the throne room, where the king gave him a task.
"Lesser demons have been disappearing from the southern villages. Find out why."
(Lesser demons - demons without strength to fight , live as citizens )
Without question, Kaiden set off, traveling deep into the demon lands. Upon arriving in the affected village, he questioned the locals. They spoke in hushed voices, fear evident in their eyes. The disappearances followed a pattern, all victims were between the ages of twenty and twenty-four, vanishing without a trace in the dead of night.
Determined to uncover the truth, Kaiden set a trap. That night, he hid within the village, his sharp senses scanning for anything unusual. Hours passed in silence until he noticed something.
The ground quivered unnaturally. A moment later, thick, vine-like tendrils shot up, wrapping around a villager's leg, dragging them toward a gaping maw hidden beneath the earth.
A Dionaeamuscipula.
A monstrous, carnivorous demon-plant, it lurked beneath the soil, feeding only when its seeds were ready to spread. Once it had consumed enough prey, it would burst open, unleashing hundreds of parasitic seedlings that would root themselves in other living creatures, devouring them from the inside.
Kaiden did not hesitate. With a single, fluid motion, he unsheathed his blade and cleaved the monstrous plant in half, its grotesque tendrils thrashing violently before falling limp. He searched the remains but found no trace of those it had already consumed. The dead could not be saved—but those still alive were spared a gruesome fate.
The villagers rejoiced, their terror giving way to relief. That night, they held a feast in Kaiden's honor, expressing their gratitude. But the victory felt hollow. As Kaiden gazed into the firelight, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss.
The next morning, he set off for the Demon King's castle, ready to report his findings.
When he arrived, something felt wrong.
The throne room, usually filled with the king's booming presence, was eerily silent. The court's nobles and generals stood gathered, their heads bowed. The air was thick with unspoken grief.
As Kaiden stepped forward, they all knelt before him.
Then, in unison, they spoke:
"Long live the new Demon King, Kaiden."
His breath caught. No. This was a mistake.
"Stop joking. Where is the king? I have a report to submit."
From the crowd, an elderly demon stepped forward 'Raven' He was one of the king's most trusted advisors. His voice, usually firm, now trembled with reverence and sorrow.
"Our great king is dead."
Kaiden staggered back. The words hit him harder than any blade ever could.
Raven continued. "After the First Great War, the divine holy weapons left the king with an incurable wound. He endured the pain for years, searching for a worthy successor. And he found you. He raised you, trained you, molded you not just as a warrior, but as a ruler. You are his chosen heir, Lord Kaiden."
The weight of those words crashed over him like a tidal wave. The only father figure he had ever known is gone.
A heavy silence filled the hall.
Kaiden's fingers curled into fists. His mind burned with memories of the war, the betrayal, the suffering of his people. His mentor had died from wounds inflicted by humanity.
He lifted his gaze, and for the first time, his crimson eyes burned not with sorrow, but with purpose.
They would pay.
That day, Kaiden the orphan, the survivor, the student has died.
In his place, the Demon King was born.
The Wrath of a Demon King:
The boy who once scavenged battlefields to survive was gone. In his place stood a ruler. A conqueror. A force of vengeance.
With rage burning in his heart, Kaiden declared war upon humanity. The betrayal, the suffering, the destruction they had wrought upon the demon race would not go unpunished.
Under his command, the demon legions surged forth, stronger and more relentless than ever before. Cities burned. Kingdoms fell. Eighty percent of the human population was slaughtered in a campaign of terror and vengeance.
The world trembled before the new Demon King Kaiden, the Harbinger of Annihilation.
