The Pacific was dead silent.
Moonlight shattered across the frozen wasteland that was once the beautifull and lively Pacific, jagged glacial spires eruptend from the waves like obsidian teeth. The air stung with frost, even as the stars above trembled from the sheer aura boiling between two.
On one end stood Frostjaw Reiken—now evolved into his final form.
His twelve eyes glowed like supernova, arranged across a reptilian face forged from obsidian and ice. His now six arms twitched with rage, each tipped with claws long enough to split tectonic plates. His breath radiated cold death, a vapor so cold it warped the air around it. Spikes of crystalline frost jutted from his back, pulsing with blue-white runes that tore at the very fabric of space.
And in front of him stood one man.
Archer Irving. Division Zero. Rank 1. Humanity's last shield and strongest swordsmen.
He hovered calmly above the frozen sea, his dual swords unsheathed and glinting silver and crimson. His armor—The Godrend Aegis—was a masterpiece of divine engineering, created by eleven civilizations that no longer existed in this world. Silver-gray plating hummed with bound mana, veined with pulsing orange lines that blinked like the heartbeat of a dying star. His helmet was down, revealing his black hair and eyes that glowed with calm fury.
He didn't blink once. He didn't breathe.
And then—he vanished into the air.
In a single flash, faster than light, Archer crossed the gap between them like it was nothing. Ice shattered beneath him in a sonic boom, and Reiken barely had time to tilt his massive head before both swords carved upward in an X.
Attack Power 1: Nova Cross Severance: Two intersecting slashes of pure stellar and godlike energy, infused with gravitational momentum. The very space around the blades bent inward, and when they connected with Reiken's chest, a shockwave erupted, vaporizing a three mile-wide chunk of ice beneath them.
Reiken screamed in pain as black ichor spilled, sizzling.
But Archer didn't stop there. He flipped backward, one blade glowing red-hot, the other freezing over with dark matter.
Attack Power 2: Dual Entropy Blades: His right sword burned at 50,000°C, melting even Reiken's celestial skin. The left sword emitted absolute zero energy—wherever it passed, atoms stopped moving, freezing solid even light particles.
He slashed in a blinding arc, each strike ripping pieces from the monster's armor.
Reiken roared, his new wings on his back flaring open, unleashing a pulse of demonic frost.
Defense Power 1: Aetherial Bastion
A gold-lit hexagonal dome formed around Archer instantly. The frost slammed into it, but not a single speck passed through it. The dome shimmered, converting the elemental onslaught into energy and feeding it back into his suit.
Archer vanished again— speed of light, perhaps faster. His body shimmered, becoming completely transparent.
Defense Power 2: True Invisibility Cloak: No light touched him, it could not even get close to him. No sound betrayed him. He was a phantom—completely invisible to even Reiken's magical senses.
Then—BOOM.
A single strike appeared out of nowhere, Reiken's neck snapping sideways as Archer reappeared in midair, spinning and dancing.
Attack Power 3: Solar Rift Fang
His sword opened a big rift in the sky, pulling down plasma directly from the center of the sun its core. A red-hot beam, 15 million degrees of condensed sunlight erupted from the sky, slamming into Reiken's torso, melting his middle head and three limbs instantly before Reiken could even react.
Reiken screamed in agony—but the ice beneath them shifted to a whole other level.
A circular formation of runes spread out like a virus across the frozen ocean.
Reiken's Ice Power 1: Cryo-Graviton Domain
Suddenly, gravity reversed. The other team members, miles away, felt it instantly—dozens of square kilometers of ocean now pulled everything downward, as if the sea had become a black hole of frost.
Archer began falling to his death.
But he didn't panic, he was calm, cool and collected.
Defense Power 3: Anti-Grav Aegis Core
His boots pulsed, countering the gravitational inversion. He twisted midair and shot upward, punching through the artificial gravity field like a bullet.
As he rocketed upward, Reiken raised a claw towards it, predicting Archer his movements.
Reiken's Ice Power 2: Absolute Prism Spear
As Reiken jumped and ascends into the stratosphere, he absorbs solar radiation and amplifies it through his twin cores. Frostjaw's body glows with unstable plasma as he channels all energy into his maw. With a thunderous roar, he unleashes the I.C.R. Blast— a 15-million-degrees spear that vaporizes everything in its path. A spear of superdense enchanted ice downwards at an unbelievable, whistling like a banshee. It pierced clouds, targeting Archer's trajectory and countering Archer his Solar rift Fang attack. Reiken descended back to earth.
Archer caught the attack just in time.
With one hand.
The impact sent shockwaves across the ocean—but his armor held.
Defense Power 4: Temporal Rewind Core
The spear splintered against him—then reversed, shattering in midair as time rewound for one second around Archer's body, unmaking the damage completely.
He blurred, then dove again.
Attack Power 4: Stellar Cyclone
His body spun like a drill that could destroy everything, swords extended as he became a blazing vortex of cosmic light. Every spin produced a storm of miniature suns, slamming into Reiken's ribcage and coring out entire sections of his body.
Chunks of divine flesh rained across the frozen sea.
Reiken snarled. Then, he adapted.
Frost exploded from his pores as his tail rose, lined with six new ice cannons. They fired in sequence.
Reiken's Ice Power 3: Voidfreeze Barrage
Beams of negative-temperature energy, capable of freezing neutron stars, crisscrossed the field. Entire icebergs shattered from sheer entropy.
Archer raised both arms.
Defense Power 5: Celestial Phase Mirror
Two massive ethereal mirrors formed behind him—one absorbing, one reflecting it back. The beams curved and reflected off the mirror, exploding in the sky, forming auroras that blinded even satellites in orbit.
Archer touched down on the ice, swords humming.
He had been holding back this entire time.
Attack Power 5: Finality Sever – Sword Art: Eclipse Divider
He whispered the words. The wind stopped.
One sword glowed white. The other black.
He crossed them, then unleashed a double slash.
The planet cracked open for a second.
The ice under Reiken split down to the seabed, a mile beneath. The attack carved a perfect line through ocean, crust, and even touched the upper mantle of the Earth. Reiken took it full-on.
And screamed like a dying god.
But that attack, it wasn't enough to defeat it.
Frostjaw regenerated again. Now faster. His wounds knitted over with celestial frost.
Reiken's Ice Power 4: Immortal Winter Core
He pulled energy from the planet itself, freezing tectonic lines and pulling strength from the magnetic poles. The temperature dropped another 500°Celsius, and storms formed across the globe.
Archer slowed.
His invincibility was running out.
Suit Timer: Invulnerability Remaining – 0:37
He gritted his teeth.
Not yet.
He flew toward Reiken again. The two clashed above the ocean, their blows forming shockwaves so violent they created tsunamis on the Chilean coast. Archer parried claw after claw, slashing, countering, blasting.
Then—
Boom.
He was knocked through an iceberg. The structure crumbled around him. Blood trickled from his lip.
His HUD flashed: Warning: Energy core at 12%. Starbreaker Limit Reached.
And still he rose.
"You're not the first god I've killed," he muttered. "But you'll be the loudest for sure."
He flew up again. His suit flared gold.
Then—finally—they arrived.
Dozens of flashes lit up the horizon.
Lucien. Rylen. Karu. Kagetsu. Jason. Ayumu. Emiluna. Cho. Lisa. Kisuke.
The rest of the Nightguard Corps descended onto the battlefield.
The final phase had begun.
Time: 04:00 – 04:30 A.M. Location: Southern Pacific Ocean, drifting toward the Chilean coast
04:00 A.M. The ocean had frozen into a battlefield.
Frostjaw Reiken hovered above the black ice like a living cataclysm, his new form pulsing with death. His twelve glowing eyes scanned the wreckage. Two cores throbbed within his ribcage—one frost, one void. Behind him, the shattered moon bled pale light over the chaos.
Archer Irving stood firm, wind howling around him. His twin swords buzzed with divine resonance, the crimson of his cloak now smeared in ash and blood. "He's regenerating too fast," he muttered. "We need to end this—now."
Karu stomped forward, Titan-0 armor cracked open but still operational. "Then let's stop holding back."
"Emiluna," Archer called out, "can you keep the others alive while we are fighting?"
"I'll try," she gasped. Her Chronomend field expanded like a halo, pulses of gold light flashing through the air as she stabilized Rylen, Jason, and Ayumu—barely.
Frostjaw raised a claw, and the sky cracked open.
04:05 A.M. A wave of absolute cold rolled outward, warping gravity and light. Time itself slowed around Reiken. Everything that moved too close decayed—metal rusted, blood crystallized mid-air, fire died.
Cho lunged towards it first, speed-enhanced boots igniting white trails behind her. She fired six rounds from his dimensional pistols towards Reiken its head. Each bullet ripped through frozen air like thunder——then vanished.
Reiken blinked. His aura negated the rounds mid-flight.
Kagetsu followed through, emerging from shadow. His Phantom Lotus suit shimmered as he stabbed for the second core. Her blade struck. It cracked.
Then Reiken's tail whipped back and sent him flying, a red streak across the frozen sea. Kagetsu screamed once before slamming into the ice.
"He is down!" Jason roared. "Kisuke, cover him right now!"
Kisuke nodded and hurled himself towards Kagetsu, nunchucks spinning with charged explosions. Sonic waves shattered icicles overhead. "Don't die on me, dammit man you are stronger then this!"
04:11 A.M. Lucien finally moved.
His feet ignited with cosmic fire as he darted across the ice. The Purgeflame surrounding him raged like a sun. He leapt, fist aimed at Reiken's skull. "Get away from them!"
BOOM. A new but weaker cosmic punch that he could collided with Reiken's barrier, sending out concentric rings of shattered space. Cracks spiraled across the monster's face.
But Reiken didn't flinch, he laughed at Lucien.
Then—a sound that made birds die mid-air and clouds burn away. His claws extended, eyes burning with extinction itself.
Lucien braced—too late. A claw slashed across his chest, tearing deep. Divine blood splattered across the ice. Lucien crashed down, skidding for nearly a hundred feet.
04:17 A.M. Ayumu's Powers (New)
Suit Name:Singularity Frame: Graviton Aegis, Power Source: Gravity & Spatial Distortion Manipulation
Offensive Techniques.
Gravitas Surge: A wave of hyper-dense gravity that crushes everything in a straight line. It folds terrain and time slightly, causing delayed explosions.
Void Orbitals: Ayumu launches three black-hole spheres that orbit her enemies, destabilizing space around them and causing spontaneous matter implosions.
Event Spear: Condenses planetary gravity into a lance of light-speed mass. When fired, it rips a hole through miles of material before collapsing into a singularity.
Defensive Techniques.
Umbra Shell: Forms a hexagonal gravitic dome that absorbs kinetic force, nuclear impact, and even spatial disruptions. Can shield an entire city.
Continuum Fracture: Temporarily breaks space around allies, phasing them into parallel reality layers. Used for teleportation or brief invulnerability.
Mass Reversal: Reverses gravitational pull of a large area, turning collapsing debris, missiles, or attacks back on their sender. Effective against armies or barrages.
Ayumu clenched her fists. Gravitic rings spun to life across her arms, chest, and spine—Singularity Frame: Graviton Aegis engaged.
"Let's bend reality a little bit."
She moved first—Gravitas Surge.
A line of crushing force pulsed outward. The ocean floor folded upward in a ripple of rock and steel, slamming into Reiken's chest. The behemoth staggered—but then howled, frost exploding from his core.
Ayumu launched skyward—Void Orbitals deployed. Three black orbs whirled around Reiken its body, distorting air and shattering nearby icebergs with each pulse. One orb collapsed violently, imploding a chunk of his shoulder.
Reiken retaliated and was confused with what just happened. Then.
Ice spears bigger than aircraft hurled toward her. She shouted, "Continuum Fracture!" and phased—splitting into shimmering afterimages as space-time broke around her. The spears passed through illusions.
Ayumu reappeared—hand outstretched.
"Event Spear!"
A beam of light-heavy mass tore forward, slicing through clouds, sea, and Reiken's flank. The creature screamed. A singularity collapsed behind it, swallowing parts of the ocean.
But Frostjaw was far from dead.
With unnatural speed, Reiken surged forward, claws slamming Ayumu into the ice. She tried to rise, but he roared point-blank, freezing her frame in layers of mythic frost.
"Umbra Shell!" she gasped.
A hexagon dome shimmered to life, absorbing the second blow—but it cracked open.
Ayumu coughed blood, trembling. "...Heh. Not bad for round one."
She fell back as her dome shattered—alive, barely. But Frostjaw also bled. And the world had just seen what gravity could do.
Then in a split second Ayumu had her last move and warped space behind Reiken's shoulder. "Now, Jason!"
Jason roared and jumped in rage, kinetic energy burning red across his gauntlets. He crashed into Reiken's side like a meteor, pushing the beast a few steps back.
Then Karu followed after. His Titan armor blazed with all four elements: fire, ice, earth, and wind. He formed a massive greatsword of crystallized magma and slammed it down on Reiken's spine.
—Reiken roared in pain.
Cracks spread across his lower body. The ocean beneath hissed as lava clashed with divine frost.
But Reiken held its composure. He screamed again, this time summoning a vortex of negative space——a black hole in the shape of a snowflake. It pulled at their limbs, armor, and souls.
Only Archer stood unmoved.
He surged forward.
04:21 A.M. Archer vanished in a blur. He reappeared mid-air above Reiken and slashed downward with both swords, splitting wind, light, and magic.
Each blade stroke carried divine weight——cutting not flesh, but concepts.
He sliced through Reiken's regeneration ability. Then through his time field. Then through his aura of extinction.
The world paused.
And in that suspended second, Rylen rejoined him.
"Together," Rylen said, blood dripping from his lips and eyes. His Soulweaver blade pulsed with memory, futures, and vengeance.
Archer nodded. "Let's burn him out now."
Rylen struck the first core.
Archer struck the second.
BOOM.
Both cores cracked open and got damaged.
Reiken howled like a god betrayed. His body exploded outward in a cascade of ice and darkness.
04:26 A.M. Smoke.
Silence.
Then—
The remains began to move again. Reiken's pieces drew inward, forming a new shell—unstable, trembling, but alive.
"No… no, no—" Emiluna gasped, stumbling to her knees. Her healing reserves were gone.
Lucien stood again, but barely.
He turned to the team.
Kagetsu was unconscious. Jason was bleeding out. Cho was down to one gun. Karu's suit blinked low-power. Ayumu's visor was cracked. Rylen was breathing, barely. Kisuke knelt over Lisa, shielding her from debris.
And Archer…
Still standing alone.
Lucien clenched his fists. His flame flickered low. "This ends… at dawn."
04:30 A.M. Frostjaw Reiken stood once more, larger than ever, unstable and furious, exhaling frost across the entire ocean basin.
A final, silent beat passed between both sides.
Then Reiken raised his arms to the heavens——and screamed.
The final battle resumed.
