The sound of water droplets dripping from the cave's stalactites slowly began to diminish.
"It looks like the rain is starting to subside," he murmured while sitting on a fairly large round rock. His black eyes gazed toward the cave entrance, which faintly showed the reddish light of dusk.
His gaze shifted to the back, specifically to the figure of a black-haired girl with blue eyes who sat curled up on another rock. Ena appeared to be shivering, both her hands hugging her knees tightly.
"Are you cold?" Nova asked in a flat tone, yet—
"Of course I'm cold! The temperature inside this cave is like a giant refrigerator. And why do you look fine?"
Nova shook his head while looking at his own body, still wearing his school uniform. Strangely, he didn't feel bothered at all by the cold air there.
"Zero," he called to the black sphere with red eyes floating beside him. "Bring out warm clothes for both of us."
Zero's red eyes blinked once.
[ Command received. ]
The black sphere began moving in circles around Nova and Ena. Bright red light emanated from its eyes. In an instant, their clothes completely changed.
Nova now wore a long black robe resembling a coat, with a plain white t-shirt and black pants underneath. Meanwhile, Ena wore a white robe with a long-sleeved black shirt and black long pants.
"Whoa!" Ena immediately felt the difference. Her body that had been shivering now felt warm and comfortable. "This... this is like magic! How is this possible?"
[ These clothes have automatic thermoregulation technology. ]
[ When the environment is cold, the clothes will warm the body. Conversely, when the weather is hot, the clothes will provide a cooling effect. Additionally, these clothes have a self-cleaning feature that maintains the wearer's body cleanliness without needing to bathe. ]
"So these clothes will adjust to my body condition?" Ena touched the fabric of her white robe with amazement. "And I won't smell or get dirty?"
[ Exactly right. These clothes will ensure optimal comfort for the wearer. ]
"But wait," Ena suddenly remembered something. "Where did my school uniform go?"
[ All items are stored in my dimensional storage. Would you like me to take it out? ]
"No, no need." Ena shook her head quickly. "Speaking of which, what else can you do besides changing clothes?"
Without waiting for a verbal answer, Zero emitted red light again. This time, various foods and drinks that looked fresh appeared on the rock where Ena was sitting. There was bread, fruits, hot soup in bowls, and a glass of milk that was still steaming.
"Amazing! Can I eat all of this?" Ena's eyes sparkled seeing the spread in front of her.
[ Of course. I can produce or bring out anything that I have previously scanned and analyzed. ]
Ena began eating the bread eagerly, but suddenly she stopped and looked at Nova with a suspicious expression.
"Hey Nova," she said while chewing. "Isn't your life too easy?"
Nova raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
"Well, I mean..." Ena waved her hand toward Zero. "You have an advanced robot assistant that can bring out anything you ask for. While me?" Ena pointed to herself. "I'm just an ordinary human who has nothing!"
"So?"
"Isn't it usually in isekai novels, people who are stranded in another world get a power system or something? Why didn't I get anything?"
Nova looked at Ena with a flat expression. "I already had power from the beginning. I don't need an additional system."
"That's you!" Ena stood up while pointing at Nova angrily. "What about me? That system is very important, especially for someone like me who has no special abilities. Do I really have to always depend on you? If only he were here..."
"He?" Nova looked at Ena with curiosity.
"Ah, forget it!" Ena sat back down while continuing to eat angrily.
Nova stood up from his rock. "Enough, there's no point thinking about things we can't change. Zero, bring out tents for the night."
[ Ready. ]
Two black tents appeared in a fairly flat area within the cave. Nova's tent was positioned slightly in front of Ena's tent, each already equipped with sleeping bags, pillows, and other sleeping equipment.
"Let's sleep," Nova walked toward his tent. "Tomorrow we'll start our journey to the City. We should get enough rest to prepare ourselves."
"Alright then, good night," Ena took the remaining food and drinks provided by Zero, then entered her tent.
After making sure Ena was already inside her tent, Nova also entered his private tent. Zero followed and automatically transformed into a black bracelet on Nova's right wrist.
